Mu’tazilah is a theological school with a passion for straightening out an understanding of the oneness and justice of God that has been polluted and corrupted. This stream gives a reasonably large portion of the discussion of speculative metaphysics. With a rationalist method, the Mu’tazilah proposed theological teachings known as al-Usul al-Khamsah. This study aims to reveal the influence of these theological concepts Mu’tazila’s law thought. As this is library research, the discussion will employ interpretive, descriptive, and reflective analytical techniques, which will result in theconclusion that al-Usul al-Khamsah had a significant influence on the ideas of the Mu’tazila school of jurisprudence, including that people who are forced (mukrah) are not subject to legal burdens, the omission of texts in worship, it is required for an order for the existence of the object to be governed, ordinary people are not allowed to obey the mujtahid in branches In sharia, it is forbidden to take the most accessible opinion of two comparable mujtahid opinions

Analisis Efisiensi Bank Umum Syariah di Indonesia dengan Pendekatan Data Envelopment Analysis (Periode 2019-2023)

Islamic banking is a financial intermediary institution with sharia principles and has two roles, namely as a collector of funds from customers in the form of deposits and channeling back to other customers in the form of loans. This study aims to measure the level of efficiency of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia in the 2019-2023 period. This research uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) methods with the help of DEAP21 Software as a tool to measure efficiency through input variables and output variables from the financial statements of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data, namely BUS financial statements with data samples, namely 6 BUS in Indonesia. This study uses input variables, namely Total Assets and Capital, and the output variables are Financing and Profit. The result of this research is that BSI is the only one who gets a perfect efficiency score of 1.048. Meanwhile, the other Islamic Commercial Banks scored below the value of 1 or inefficient. This means that the 5 Islamic Commercial Banks that have not received a perfect efficiency score must further improve their performance despite experiencing challenges both from gaps in the operational mechanism of workers and from the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

This study aims to ascertain the trajectory and scope of green economy research inside Scopus-indexed papers. This research uses bibliometric analytic methodologies to investigate all publications cataloged in the Scopus database about the green economy within a sustainable development framework spanning 1990 to 2023. The data collected was analyzed using both Excel and r/r studio software. Vosviewer is a software tool that enables the simultaneous visual study of keyword occurrence and document extracts. The researcher identified 859 publications that align with the designated role, subject matter, and specified criteria. The findings of this study reveal a yearly growth rate of 17.98%, with the highest number of publications observed in the field of environmental science in the year 2022. China is the nation that exhibits the highest level of scholarly output in terms of publications associated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Lyulyof, o. He is widely recognized as a highly prolific author within the field of the green economy. The bibliometric analysis conducted was restricted to the utilization of Scopus data. This study did not consider other national and international datasets. This study offers a concise survey of the literature available to scholars engaged in academic research and presents suggestions for future research endeavors
