PENGARUH SISTEM OLAH TANAH DAN WAKTU PENYIANGAN PADA HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.)
The presence of disturbing plants in the cultivation process of corn plants will respond to the corn crop yields. The presence of disturbing plants can cause competition in the photosynthesis process. In essence, weed control is to suppress the population. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of tillage patterns and time of weeding on maize crop products and to obtain a combination of tillage patterns with appropriate weeding times for corn planting. The experiment was conducted from February to June 2020 at the Buton UMU Research Experimental Garden. Laboratory analysis was carried out in the integrated laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of UMU Buton. The experiment was arranged in a split-plot design (RPT) with three replication. main plots were tillage system consists of three levels., (1) T1 = zero tillage; (2) T2 = minimal tillage; and (3) T3 = maximum tillage. Subplots were a time of weeding consists of four levels., (1) P1 = no weeding; (2) P2 = weeding 21 days after planting; (3) P3 = weeding 21 and 42 days after planting; and (4) P4 = weeding 21, 42 and 63 day after planting. The results showed that the appropriate combination of T1 and T4 treatment would produce better maize/plant weight and corn seed yields of 6.27 tonnes ha-1, whereas for T2 and T3 it did not require weeding time with yields respectively maize harvest was 5.84 tonnes ha-1 and 5.83 tonnes ha-1

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
Kombinasi Teknologi Pelengkungan Cabang Dengan Ketinggian Strangulasi Untuk Mempercepat Pembungaan Jeruk Keprok Siompu di Kota Baubau
Permintaan buah jeruk semakin meningkat akibat peningkatan jumlah penduduk, pendapatan dan kesadaran masyarakat akan nilai gizi. Peningkatan konsumsi akibat dari peningkatan jumlah konsumen belum diimbangi dengan peningkatan produksi. Indonesia mempunyai beberapa varietas jeruk keprok unggulan yang sedang dikembangkan. Pengembangan ini dilakukan didataran tinggi dan rendah. Salah satu varietas jeruk keprok yang saat ini lagi dikembangkan didataran rendah adalah jeuk keprok Siompu. Jeruk keprok Siompu merupakan jeruk keprok dataran rendah. Kota Baubau saat ini menjadi daerah pengembangan jeruk keprok yang telah menjadi plasma nufta. Luas pengembangan jeruk keprok Siompu di kota Baubau diperkirakan 250 ha. Namun tuntutan petani untuk mempercepat pembungaan dan mengatur pembungaan jeruk keprok menjadi tantangan saat ini. Selain itu, tuntutan konsumen yang menginginkan jeruk keprok Siompu yang tersedia sepanjang tahun. Sehingga diperlukan penelitian yang tepat untuk meginduksi bunga jeruk keprok Siompu yang dapat digunakan diluar musimnya. Pada penelitian sebelumnya peneliti telah melakukan percobaan penelitian induksi pembungaan jeruk keprok Siompu menggunakan teknik strangulasi pada ketinggian yang berbedaa, dan hasilnya pada ketinggian 60 cm dari permukaan tanah mampu mempercepat induksi pembungaan 1 bulan dari perlakukan lainnya. Namun dari hasil penelitian tersebut masih perlu disempurnakan, sehingga dibutuhkan kombinasi teknolgi induksi pembungaan yaitu pelengkungan cabang. Pelengkungan cabang akan menghambat laju fotosintat didaerah tajuk, sedangkan strangulasi akan menghambat laju fotosintat didaerah batang. Hambatan yang terjadi didaerah tajuk dan batang akan mempercepat induksi pembungaan. Karena fotosintat akan cepat terhambat, sehingga memacu munculnya bunga jeruk. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya penelitian untuk menganalisis penggabungan antara teknologi pelengkumgan cabang dengan strangulasi pada jeruk keprok Siompu. Penelitian dilaksanakan dikebun jeruk milik petani Kota Baubau Sulawesi Tenggara pada bulan Januari sampai Desember 2022. Analisis kandungan karbohidrat dan nitrogen pada daun dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muslim Buton. Rancangan percobaan yang diterapkan pada penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 3 tanaman dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 45 satuan percobaan. Rancangan penelitian dengan perlakuan apliaksi pelengkungan cabang pada ketinggian yang berbeda. Perlakuan adalah S1= kontrol, S2= dilengkungkan+strangulasi ketinggian 30 cm dari dasar tanah, S3= dilengkungkan+strangulasi 40 cm dari dasar tanah, S4= dilengkungkan+strangulasi 50 cm dari dasar tanah, dan S5= dilengkungkan+ 60 cm dari dasar tanah
