    This project involves the design, development and operation of single phase AC motor using XILINX. The output voltage is controlled using well known Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technique. The objective of this project is to regulate the output of AC motor (speed)) using Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT). The design is based on XILINX chip XC95108 Complex Programmable Logic Device (CPLD) that acts as a controller to control the switching of IGBT and modulate the PWM signal externally. The student will be undergo the industrial training based on the period from 1 February 2019 to 28 June 2019 in Integration System Management (ISM), Tabung Haji Information Department at Theta Edge Berhad. To fulfil the faculty's requirement, students should involve in information management related work during their training. This might include areas such as library science, resource centre management, and records management and information management system. The student involve in the operation of ISM Team relate to the conducting system and bank request, fixing bugs and issue management and also server maintaining.     Light controller is designed to control light in many situations. The mission of this program is to maintain and improve the quality of the light as we desired. The majority of all indoor and outdoor lighting in the home today is provided by incandescent lamps, commonly referred to as conventional "light bulbs". In this thesis, the light bulb is the most widely used lamp in residential and many commercial and industrial lighting applications for general lighting. Light controller are a type of incandescent lamp that gives "whiter" light, lasts longer, is usually small, is slightly more efficient than normal bulb. Light controller will become more popular for lighting stores, buildings, hotels, and houses. This light controller can be use at many places. For example it can be a light dimmer, light dimmer allows the knob controlling of the light output (the light intensity) of different lighting instruments. A light dimmer allows controlling of light bulb brightness. The basic idea of dimmer operation is that it limits the electrical power that gets to the light bulb. Dimmers today come in many styles to control different types of loads. There are also some other dimmer types used in some special applications (variable transformers, simple resistors for very low power bulbs and PWM controllers for DC lights). Typical light dimmer circuits use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the brightness of the bulb. It controls the brightness of the bulb by turning the bulb ON for part of time and then OFF for part of time. The brightness of the bulb is a function of the ON time to the OFF time. Dimmers designed to dim DC light bulbs generally work in this way, they just have an adjustable free-running oscillator with variable pulse width to control the light output

    HACCP certification is an international standard defining the requirements for effective control of food safety. The government of Malaysia is encouraging Malaysian food manufacturing companies that are expanding internationally, to apply for the certification in ensuring utmost food safety assurance. This paper investigated the importance of having HACCP certification and its benefits. The paper also described the processes involved in applying HACCP certificate as experienced Sdn Bhd. The data were collected using in-depth interviews as well as observation. The results of the research discovered the importance of having HACCP certificate to the company and the benefits that the company gains. This results of this paper will encourage others Small and Medium-size food manufactures to apply the HACCP certificate

    Transkrip ini mengandungi temubual bersama Puan Suriana bt Hamzah yang dikendalikan oleh Muhamad Azim dan Muhammad Noor Abdullah mengenai kerjaya beliau dalam bidang perusahaan iaitu perusahaan laksam yang merupakan makanan tradisional bagi Negeri Kelantan dan juga Terengganu. Temubual ini mengisahkan tentang latar belakang tokoh, pengalaman beliau dalam memajukan makanan tradisional tanah air dan juga pencapaian beliau. Temubual ini diadakan di restoran beliau sendiri pada 16 Mei 2018 pada pukul 2 petang. Beliau mewarisi resepi tradisi pembuatan laksam dan kuahnya daripada ibu mertua beliau sendiri. Restoran beliau sering dikunjungi daripada Sultan Kelantan iaitu, Sultan Muhamamd IV. Restoran beliau juga pernah dilawati oleh rancangan popular televisyen iaitu Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan. Perpindahan panas tergantung pada luas permukaan, memodifikasi plat datar menjadi plat pinhole atau plat bersirip merupakan untuk meningkatkan luas permukaan sehingga perpindahan panas yang terjadi semakin meningkat dengan baik. Rumusan masalahnya yaitu bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan plat alumunium bersirip terhadap produktivitas air distilasi dan Analisa perpindahan panas pada Single Basin Solar Still nya. Tujuan penulisan ini dapat Mengetahui hasil analisa pengaruh penggunaan plat alumunium bersirip terhadap produktivitas air distilasi dan Mengetahui hasil analisa perpindahan panas pada single basin solar still nya. Metode penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode eksperimen. Dimana penelitian ini mengacu pada analisa perpindahan panas, penyerapan dan efesiensi pada pin fin pada basin solar still dengan mempertimbangkan nilai temperatur terhadap produktivitas air distilasi. Jumlah air dengan menggunakan pin fin yaitu sebesar 1191 ml dengan rata-rata 26,46 ml setiap jamnya. Sedangakan non pin fin yaitu sebesar 938 ml dengan rata-rata 21,73 ml setiap jamnya. Efesiensi energi dari kedua pengujian menunjukkan bahwa nilai terbesar dengan pin fin sebesar 0, 11978 % sedangkan non pin fin Sebesar 0,1061 %. Kata Kunci : Desalinasi, Plat Alumunium bersirip, Evaporasi, Kelembabab, Kondensasi dan Efisiens

    The influence of welding condition on the microstructure of WC hardfacing coating on carbon steel substrate

    Tungsten carbide (WC) hardfacing coating technique is widely used to improve the performance of carbon steel blade exposed to acidic and abrasive conditions during production. This paper deals with the influence of welding parameters on the microstructure and carbide distribution of WC. WC hardfacing was deposited onto carbon steel by shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Welding parameters such as welding current, number of weld layers, electrode drying and base material preheat were the focus of this work. Coating hardness, microstructure and elemental composition were analysed in detail. The effects of the welding parameters on WC hardfacing coating microstructure and hardness value were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and micro-Vickers hardness tester respectively. The larger carbide growth in overall coating region is mainly dictated by high current (200 A), increased number of weld layers (3 layers) and presence of base material preheat due to sufficient heat energy initiating carbide growth. The investigation also revealed that high current affected the growth of smaller carbide particles in matrix region significantly. Meanwhile, number of weld layers and base material preheat influences were seen during hardfacing with lower welding current. The absence of electrode drying led to uniform smaller carbide distribution in matrix region. It was found that increased number of large carbides and uniformly distributed smaller carbides in WC hardfacing deposit increased the hardness value of the coating
