Kassiber schreiben.
Since the publication of the volume poèmes – poëtra (2015), which contains poems from three decades, the œuvre of the German poet Rainer René Mueller (*1949) has gained increasing and enthusiastic attention from both critics and the general public. By looking closely at three central motives (the concept of Lied, the question of provenance, the figure of the stone) the present paper intends to provide for the first time a comprehensive overview of Mueller’s poetical stance. At its center stands the traditionally charged question: What is German? In his work, Mueller insistently poses it, in particular with regard to the breaks and contradictions in the history of both German and Germany. Through the interpretation of chosen passages from representative poems and by taking into account unpublished texts from Mueller’s archive, the paper seeks to show the specificity of Mueller’s writing and style. According to Mueller’s own early programmatic statement, he brought Kassiber into the world – secret messages to those who are willing to lend an attentive ear

Differential interferometric particle tracking on the subnanometer- and submillisecond-scale
We describe an interferometric method to measure the movement of a subwavelength probe particle relative to an immobilized reference particle with high spatial (Delta x = 0.9nm) and temporal (Delta t = 200 mu s) resolution. The differential method eliminates microscope stage drift. An upright microscope is equipped with laser dark field illumination (lambda(0) = 532nm, P-0 = 30mW) and a compact modified Mach-Zehnder interferometer is mounted on the camera exit of the microscope, where the beams of scattered light of both particles are combined. The resulting interferograms provide in two channels subnanometer information about the motion of the probe particle relative to the reference particle. The interferograms are probed with two avalanche photodiodes. We applied this method to measuring the movement of kinesin along microtubules and were able to resolve the generic 8-nm steps at high ATP concentrations without external forces. Effect of four different size reduction methods on the particle size, solubility enhancement and physical stability of nicergoline nanocrystals.
Nicergoline, a poorly soluble active pharmaceutical ingredient, possesses vaso-active properties which causes peripheral and central vasodilatation. In this study, nanocrystals of nicergoline were prepared in an aqueous solution of polysorbate 80 (nanosuspension) by using four different laboratory scale size reduction techniques: high pressure homogenization (HPH), bead milling (BM), and combination techniques (high pressure homogenization followed by bead milling HPH+BM, and bead milling followed by high pressure homogenization BM+HPH). Nanocrystals were investigated regarding to their mean particles size, zeta potential, and particle dissolution. A short term physical stability study on nanocrystals stored at three different temperatures (4, 20 °C, and 40 °C) was performed to evaluate the tendency to change in particle size, aggregation and zeta-potential. The size reduction technique and the process parameters like milling time, number of homogenization cycles and pressure greatly affected the size of nanocrystals. Among the techniques used, the combination techniques showed superior and consistent particle size reduction compared to the other two methods, HPH+BM and BM+HPH giving nanocrystals of a mean particle size of 260 nm and 353 nm, respectively. The particle dissolution was increased for any nanocrystals samples, but it was particularly increased by high pressure homogenization and combination techniques. Independently to the production method, nicergoline nanocrystals showed slight increase in particle size over the time, but remained below 500 nm at 20 °C and refrigeration conditions
