No full textA família é a instituição basilar da sociedade, contudo, sua conceituação vem
se alterando drasticamente nos recentes anos, principalmente após os movimentos
contra-culturais iniciados em meados da década de 60 e do desgaste da ideologia
patriarcal e da modernidade, assim como o enfraquecimento da influencia religiosa
na sociedade brasileira. Tal mutação, que engloba ampliação e modificações
socioculturais, geram efeitos em diversas áreas das humanidades que refletem,
como não poderia deixar de ser, no Direito. O conceito da família, no âmbito legal e
legislativo é indicativo pautável para refletir as demandas sociais. Dessa forma o
presente trabalho faz uma progressão histórica da origem do Estado Moderno e
Democrático de Direito, para, em seguida, debruçar sobre a conceituação
contemporânea da família na ótica dos doutrinadores pátrios, os princípios
protegidos no nosso ordenamento e diante desse patamar, será proposta uma

has been changing drastically in recent years, especially after the anti-cultural
movements initiated in the mid-1960s and the erosion of patriarchal ideology and
modernity, as well as the weakening of religious influence in Brazilian society. This
mutation, which includes enlargement and socio-cultural changes, has effects in
several areas of the humanities that reflect, as it could not be, the Law. The concept
of family, in the legal and legislative spheres, is indicative and can be used to reflect
social demands. In this way, the present work makes a historical progression of the
origin of the Modern and Democratic State of Law, in order to examine the
contemporary conceptualization of the family from the point of view of the country's
legal scholars, the principles protected in our legal system and then, a legal definition

“Eldorado, Babel e faroeste”: a Londrina de Rodrigo Garcia Lopes, em O trovador
No full textThe northern part of the department of Paraná, Brazil is a recently colonized region, with scarce literary production, particularly with respect to fiction. The article focuses on O trovador, by Rodrigo Garcia Lopes, which provides an overview of the period, specifically of the city of Londrina, on the basis of a Provencal poem. In the style of Umberto Eco, the author writes a historical-detective novel in which literature and history enter into an intense, erudite, and ironic dialogue. It provides a critical view of the English colonial spirit, in a manner that informs and entertains the reader, while authenticating its fictional discourse with elements of reality. The article addresses the work as a new type of historical novel and discusses the features that make it such (following guidelines suggested by Esteves, among other researchers), discusses the author’s knowledge regarding the “library”, according to Samoyault, and examines Londrina as a human and geographic category.El norte del departamento de Paraná es una región brasileña de colonización reciente, con poca literatura, principalmente en lo que se refiere a obras de ficción. Así, el artículo está enfocado en O trovador, de Rodrigo Garcia Lopes, que, a partir de un poema provenzal, establece un panorama de su periodo y, en particular, de la ciudad de Londrina. Al estilo de Umberto Eco, él escribe una novela histórico-policiaca en la que literatura e historia mantienen un diálogo intenso, erudito e irónico. Presenta, de forma crítica, el espíritu colonialista inglés informando y divirtiendo al lector, una vez que autentica su discurso ficcional con elementos de la realidad. Estudio técnico para la regeneración urbana de la ciudad de Babahoyo, para el año 2021
Get PDFEl objetivo del presente proyecto fue elaborar una propuesta de regeneración urbana en la ciudad de Babahoyo, y establecer un ordenamiento vehicular y peatonal que brinde una movilidad segura a la ciudadanía. El proyecto en mención, se realizó con un enfoque mixto, de manera cualitativo y cuantitativo debido a que se trabajó con datos numéricos y porcentajes, los cuales se llevó a cabo mediante la técnica de encuestas a través de un cuestionario dirigido para los diferentes transeúntes del casco urbano de la ciudad de Babahoyo, que se movilizan por el área de estudio, se desarrolló el método cualitativo, con la ayuda de una ficha de observación dando a conocer el estado actual de la infraestructura, señalización horizontal y vertical en la zona urbana de la ciudad de Babahoyo, los mismos que fueron analizados e interpretados, con los resultados obtenidos se determinó los requerimientos respectivos. Posterior al relevamiento de datos con las respectivas fichas de observación, se recorrió tres zonas conflictivas en las horas pico, se determinó, que avenida requiere una regeneración urbana, por presentar mayor problema de movilidad tanto para peatones como conductores. Se concluye que la Av. García Moreno es altamente comercial, no brinda seguridad de movilidad, tanto para peatones como conductores, de la misma manera carece de vados para facilitar la accesibilidad a personas con capacidades especiales al medio físico, y presentan una señalización escaza que no cumple con la normativa vigente INEN 004 parte 1 y 2, recomendando al GAD Municipal de Babahoyo y la Empresa TRANSVIAL-EP, desarrollen un proyecto para la regeneración de la Avenida García Moreno, de manera inmediata, con la única finalidad de mejorar la movilidad en el sector, que será de beneficio para los dueños de las viviendas del sector también para peatones y conductores que circulan todos los días a realizar sus compras en el sector, y permitirá así un ambiente adecuado de convivencia, en armonía como establece los derechos de los ciudadanos en la magna Constitución vigente de nuestro PaísThe objective of this research work was to develop a proposal for urban regeneration in Babahoyo city, and to establish a vehicular and pedestrian system that provides safe mobility to citizens. The project was carried out with a mixed approach, qualitative and quantitative, due to the fact that numerical data and percentages were used, which information was gotten using the survey technique through a questionnaire directed to the different passers-by in the urban area of Babahoyo city, who move around the study area. The qualitative method was developed, with the help of an observation sheet that showed the current state of the infrastructure, horizontal and vertical signaling in the urban area of Babahoyo city, which were analyzed and interpreted and with the results obtained the respective requirements were determined. After the data collection with the respective observation sheets, three conflictive areas were visited during rush hour, where it was determined which avenue requires urban regeneration as it presents the greatest mobility problems for both pedestrians and drivers. It is concluded that Garcia Moreno Avenue is highly commercial, does not provide safe mobility for both pedestrians and drivers, in the same way lacks fords to facilitate accessibility to people with special abilities to the physical environment, and have a sparse signage that does not comply with current INEN 004 part 1 and 2 regulations. It is recommended to the Municipal Government of Babahoyo and the TRANSVIAL-EP Company, to develop a project for the regeneration of Garcia Moreno Avenue, immediately, with the only purpose of improving mobility in the sector, which will be of benefit to homeowners in the sector, also, for pedestrians and drivers who circulate every day to shop in the sector, and thus allow an appropriate environment of coexistence, in harmony as established by the rights of citizens in the current Constitution of our countr

Get PDFGarcia y Robertson\u27s The Spiral Dance begins as a historical novel set in the time of the rebellion led by the Earl of Northumberland and the Earl of Westmoreland against Elizabeth I in 1569, told from the point of view of Anne, Countess of Northumberland. It is also an epic or heroic fantasy; besides Lady Anne, two of its main characters are a werewolf named Jock and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Their adventures carry them not only to the highlands of Scotland but to the realm of Faerie. The author\u27s theme is that one must lose all one has before one can be truly transformed—or, to put it another way, before one can discover one\u27s true self. It may be read as an extended meditation on the nature of reality and illusion, and the discovery of true identity. Thus it is a classic Quest tale. Like Bilbo Baggins, Anne goes “there and back again,” and returns changed. So have heroes from Gilgamesh to Odysseus to Sir Gawain to Luke Skywalker. But the author\u27s original contribution to this genre is his conception of Faerie. We are accustomed to think of the ordinary world as real, and of Faerie as the land of illusion. But in Garcia y Robertson\u27s fictional universe, the ordinary world is a place of illusion, where things are seldom what they seem, and Faerie is the realm of reality, where illusion is impossible, and all things are seen for what they really are. In this paper I shall explore how the author uses this conceit to pursue his theme, with references to J. R. R. Tolkien and Sir Thomas of Ercildoun. I hope to show how this master storyteller gives his readers a rollicking tale of warfare and witchcraft, which is also an extended spiritual meditation on identity, illusion, and reality.

High-Temperature Concentrating Solar Technologies for direct surface processing of metallic parts
No full textSurface modification, as a sub-field of Surface Engineering, targets on enhancing the performance and longevity of metallic parts that operate under severe environments that involve wear, abrasion, erosion and cavitation. Addressing these issues is crucial as industries strive towards sustainable solutions amidst global climate concerns. In particular, there is an increasing interest to develop new routes based on renewable energy sources that would be a reliable and efficient alternative to conventional surface modification processes of metals. The work presented here aims at the application of high-temperature Concentrating Solar Technologies for processing of metallic parts. Since 2014, a series of such “solar” campaigns implemented at Plataforma Solar de Almeria (Spain) by the authors’ groups, which were targeted to the direct elaboration of wear-resistant composite surface layers, led to the proof-of-concept that, indeed, concentrated solar energy can be a promising renewable energy solution for the direct surface processing of metallic parts.
The project TWINSOLARSURF (“Twinning for solar energy-driven surface engineering of metallic parts”), a Horizon Europe-funded project that started in October 2024 and will last 3 years, capitalizes on these promising scientific results and aims to contribute to the development of a novel ecosystem in the frame of “Green Metallurgy” and in general of “Green Manufacturing”. The consortium will work on an exploratory project on the research playground of surface processing of metallic materials for use in aggressive environments e.g. wear, abrasion, erosion and high temperature. In particular it will pursue the parallel development of ultra-hard as well as thermal barrier coatings (TBCs). The former will be elaborated on steel substrates via concentrated solar thermal energy; the latter will be targeted to protect metallic ducts carrying the heat transfer fluids in such solar thermal plants from excessive solar irradiation retarding their sensible heating beyond critical temperatures and mitigating the consequences of temperature overshooting. In parallel the partners will work together on a strategic plan for co-developing a space of excellence via a capacities’ building programme, sharing knowledge, integrating expertise and skills and delving into new research avenues. The overall approach is fully linked to the European Green Deal strategy for green industrial technologies of the future, further penetration of renewable energies and building the skilled research personnel capable of addressing the global societal, political and environmental challenges of our future ecosystem
