No full text“Camilo Returns,” by Javier Giraldo Moreno S.j, is an article/fiction that served as a prologue for the book CAMILO - Visionary Messages, first published by the Memoria Histórica Project in February 2011 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the birth of Father Camilo Torres Restrepo to social movements.This oneiric record tells the story of a meeting in which Father Javier invites Father Camilo to visit the beloved Colombia he fought so hard for, and thus replicate Father Camilo’s messages to the different sectors of society. The story provides the historical background of the country through Father Camilo’s voice and notes the validity of his messages that, presented by Father Giraldo as a discursive practice, are commented by a leader of each sector. Este registro onírico fala de uma reunião em que o Padre Javier convida o Padre Camilo para visitar a Colômbia que ele tanto amava e pela qual tanto lutou para reproduzir assim as mensagens do Padre Camilo aos diferentes setores sociais. Esta história situa historicamente o panorama colombiano através da voz do Padre Camilo e aponta a validade de suas mensagens que, apresentadas pelo Padre Giraldo como uma prática discursiva, são comentadas por um líder de cada setor. No full textThe thesis aims to provide a critical assessment of Camilo Torres’ concept of efficacious love in the light of a hermeneutics and ethics of liberation, to contribute theoretically to theological reflection upon the mission of the Protestant and Roman Catholic churches in Colombia, and generally in Latin America. It proposes the thesis that the theology of Camilo Torres, viewed from the perspective of a hermeneutics and an ethics of liberation, can be foundational for seeking, constructing, and sustaining peace with justice in a context of oppression and violence.
Based on the theological analysis, the academic and spiritual motivation should respond to two fundamental questions in our academic inquiry: what foundation exists in Camilo Torres’ theology for the construction of a just, peaceful, liberative society and to enable proximity to the excluded, victimized, and poor population in Colombia to be achieved? And how can we as Christians respond to the grace of God in living efficaciously the values of the Kingdom of God, in order to bring structural changes in Colombia? The implications of the answers to those questions would result in the possibility to execute an integrating theological proposal for peace with justice for the church in Colombia.
In an interpretative mode, we consider critically the multidisciplinary interaction of some of the theological foundations of liberation theology. Our task consists in clarifying and constructing theological presuppositions for a dialectical examination of the historical and current situation in Colombia, viewed in the light of the internal problems and realities. Thus, it is our intention in order to attempt a significant interdisciplinary juncture, to examine and interpret such relevant concepts as efficacious love, faith with works, kenosis, hypostatic union, hermeneutics and ethics of liberation, social justice, personal and collective socio-political conversion, and a praxis of faith as the church’s mission in response to the Colombian context of poverty and violence

A través de una pluma crítica, el autor, Camilo Pardo Umaña, nos pinta un retrato detallado de este hombre de negocios, describiéndolo como un astuto y ambicioso personaje que supo aprovechar las oportunidades de su época para amasar una gran fortuna. Narra cómo Landínez, junto a su socio José María Plata, crea una especie de bolsa de valores llamada "La Ballena". Esta entidad financiera permitía a los inversores dejar su dinero a cambio de pagarés respaldados por las firmas de ambos socios. Sin embargo, esta actividad pronto se convierte en un foco de especulación y riesgo.

Partiendo del análisis de tres estudios de caso, pasamos de la dicotomía convencional entre formal e informal, a la sinergia entre estas dos formas de ciudad. Las ventajas espaciales halladas en los distintos estudios de caso permitirá plasmarlas en una contrapropuesta de diseño urbano en Ciudad Verde, Soacha. En ese sentido, el diseño urbano como disciplina que se ocupa en la comprensión de los fenómenos espaciales de la ciudad, tiene la capacidad de caracterizar y armonizar las ventajas espaciales de la ciudad formal e informal, con el objetivo de dilucidar a qué escala de relación deben incorporarse dentro del proceso urbano. Starting from the analysis of three case studies, we move from the conventional dichotomy between formal and informal, to the synergy between these two forms of city. The spatial advantages found in the different case studies will allow us to translate them into a counter-proposal of urban design in Ciudad Verde, Soacha. No full textLa ética, como rama de la filosofía práctica, es el saber que se desprende de la relación que establecemos con el mundo que habitamos, razón por la cual contiene las claves para comprender y guiar el comportamiento del humano en sociedad. El profesor David Camilo Moreno Foglia, a través de una relectura de la tradición antigua aristotélica y una reflexión sobre la producción contemporánea, plantea la necesidad de indagar en las especificidades de la ética y su papel en la construcción de un ethos mediado por las acciones, las narraciones y la relación con las pasiones que de allí nacen. Por tal razón, este texto tiene como objetivo indagar cómo operan y se relacionan en el sistema aristotélico la ética, la retórica y la poética, en el marco de la relación conceptual entre logos, ethos y pathos, para de esta forma postular y traer al presente una noción compleja de la racionalidad propia del saber ético. En otras palabras, este libro busca compartir con sus lectores la función social y práctica de la filosofía, en unos tiempos convulsos moralmente hablando.Ethics, as a branch of practical philosophy, is the knowledge that arises from the relationship we establish with the world we inhabit, which is why it contains the keys to understand and guide human behavior in society. Professor David Camilo Moreno Foglia, through a rereading of the ancient Aristotelian tradition and a reflection on contemporary production, raises the need to investigate the specificities of ethics and its role in the construction of an ethos mediated by actions, narratives and the relationship with the passions that arise therefrom.
