Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

První kapitola se věnuje historické perspektivě zásahů do vlastnických práv. V druhé kapitole jsou stručně definovány pojmy vlastnictví a vlastnické právo. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na soukromoprávní úpravu omezení vlastnických práv. Je zde rozebrána problematika sousedských vztahů a věcných práv k věci cizí. Poslední kapitola se zaměřuje na veřejnoprávní úpravu vyvlastnění ve veřejném zájmu. Cílem práce je poskytnutí uceleného pohledu na problematiku a zhodnotit právní úpravu.ObhájenoThis thesis is focused on legislation of expropriation and restrictions of ownership rights. Thesis is divided into four chapters for this purpose. The first chapter is about historical perspective of interference in ownership rights. Ownership and ownership rights are briefly defined in the second chapter. The third chapter is aiming at civil law legislation of ownership rights restrictions. Neighbourly relations and encumbrances are analysed there. The last chapter is aiming at public law legislation of expropriation in public interest. No full textThe thesis paper focuses on the American suburbia, which is understood as an important social and cultural concept which plays a key role in the cultural history of America. The paper defines the basic characteristics and components of the utopian myth of the modern suburbs, such as the pastoral ideal, the notion of deliberate withdrawal from the urban areas, the role of the community or the focus on family togetherness. These concepts are traced in the American cultural history, especially in the idealized legacy of the early settlers and early Puritan communities. The development of the usage and depiction of these cultural concepts in the literary fiction of the period between the 1950s and 80s is then traced in the texts of three major American chroniclers of the suburban life - John Cheever, John Updike, and Raymond Carver. The social context and the historical development of the suburbs are also taken into consideration

The main parameter of the research is length of trains of determined operator on the railway Břeclav - Bohumín - Petrovice u Karviné and Čadca - Petrovice u Karviné. Práce definuje základní charakteristiky a prvky utopického mýtu moderního předměstí, jako jsou ideál pastoralismu, motiv cílené odloučenosti od městských prostředí, role komunity nebo důraz na rodinnou soudržnost, a nachází jejich kořeny v americké kulturní historii, především v idealizovaném odkazu prvních osadníků a puritánských komunit. Vývoj zobrazení a použití těchto prvků je poté analyzován v období od 50. do 80. let minulého století v textech tří významných amerických kronikářů života na předměstí - Johna Cheevera, Johna Updikea a Raymonda Carvera.
