OSPF mendistribusikan informasi routing antara router-router autonomous system (AS). Kata kunci : routing, rynamic routing, OSPF ABSTRACT Data sending processes from one to the other networks is called to be Routing. Using the dynamic routing, the routing mechanism is dynamically done by swiftly and accurately determining the shortest route between sender and receiver. One of the dynamic routing protocols is the Open shortest path first (OSPF) using link-state algorithm to build and count the shortest route to the all known destination. OSPF distributes routing information between system autonomous routers (AS). The focus of OSPF is in the processor activity, memory needs and bandwidth consumption.  There are needs to optimize OSPF routing protocol activity by determining OSPF routing network area and model especially to the bandwidth influence. In the ever-changing landscape of the global economy, the role of the United States Dollar (USD) as the backbone of the international financial system significantly influences market stability and dynamics. The close correlation between fluctuations in the USD exchange rate and internal and external factors demands effective prediction methods to understand and manage associated risks. This study aims to compare the performance of three main prediction methods: Single Exponential Smoothing (SES), Holt\u27s Method, and Holt-Winters Method, in forecasting USD exchange rates. Utilizing historical data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and testing under three training data distribution scenarios (45%, 55%, and 75%), this research provides in-depth findings on the strengths and weaknesses of each prediction method. Performance evaluations include the time required, Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), R-Squared, and correlation for the implementation of each method. If averaged, the results are as follows for SES, Holt’s, and Holt’s Winter, respectively: SES (1.58; 284.20; 68,768.26; 440.07; 0.03; -2.12; Nan), Holt’s (1.39; 890.23; 426,377.44; 1,043.28; 0.06; -24.28; -0.66), and Holt’s Winter (1.20; 997.45; 513,657.58; 1,168.00; 0.07; -30.62; -1.55). Overall, this indicates that the Holt-Winters Method stands out with significant performance, especially in scenarios with larger training data distributions, with a low R-Squared value (-4.618) and satisfactory correlation (0.417). Holt\u27s Method also shows improved accuracy, while Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) offers time efficiency, albeit with limitations in explaining data variations. In conclusion, this research provides valuable guidance for business stakeholders, investors, and policymakers in selecting prediction methods suitable for their data characteristics and analysis goals, with the potential for a positive impact on business strategies, competitiveness, and risk management amid the uncertainty of USD exchange rate fluctuations

A 'blessed asylum' or a utopian vision : the viability of a Protestant nunnery in early nineteenth-century England

    No full text
In 1694, Mary Astell proposed the establishment of Protestant nunneries in England; in 1809, Helena Whitford reiterated the theme; yet, it was Lady Isabella King in 1816 who sought to put this radical idea into effect. A single, Irish, evangelically influenced gentlewoman, a younger daughter of the Earl of Kingston, she established the Ladies’ Association, a ‘conventual’ home for eighteen distressed gentlewomen at Bailbrook House in Bath in 1816, securing support for it from such influential figures as Queen Charlotte, William Wilberforce and Robert Southey. When Bailbrook House was sold in 1821, she relocated the Ladies’ Association to Clifton in Bristol, where its eventual failure in 1835 shattered her vision of establishing a national scheme of conventual homes that would benefit future generations of women. Limited attention has yet been paid by historians to the role elite women played in creating and managing philanthropic institutions in the early nineteenth century, particularly those aimed at assisting other women in an urban setting. Some historians of philanthropy, such as Frank Prochaska, have identified an ‘explosion’ of early nineteenth-century female activity; however, elite women’s charitable contributions have tended to be understood as rural, concentrating on family estates. Kim Reynolds, who has addressed Victorian elite women’s philanthropy in an urban setting, maintains it functioned simply as a strand of elite women’s work. This dissertation draws upon a previously unstudied collection of papers compiled and annotated by Lady Isabella King, which span the existence of the Ladies’ Association, in order to explore the nature of Lady Isabella’s involvement in this philanthropic venture and her understanding of her role. Thus it not only seeks to recover Lady Isabella as an important historical figure in the development of early nineteenth-century philanthropic ventures, something for which she was recognised by her contemporaries, but also to examine the structure of her unique experimental institution and cast some light on the sorts of women who became its residents. By doing so, it provides a case study in the development and practical application of a philanthropic ideal. It examines the ways that Lady Isabella, quite a conventional elite single woman, used her status, her location and her networks to create and maintain the institution for nearly twenty years. It provides a valuable opportunity to examine a number of the problems she faced in establishing and running the institution, given the social and gendered milieu in which she was operating, and the strategies she employed to achieve her ends. I argue that Lady Isabella’s elite status provided her with the wealth and access to influential social circles to make a difference, that her single status added independence to devote time to her cause and while she was initially beset with self-doubts about her competence to author and manage the project, she gradually gained confidence as she developed ways to implement and manage the institution. At the same time the groundbreaking nature of the Ladies’ Association, the consequent public criticism and a growing discordant atmosphere among the residents of the institution lead to its closure in 1835

Implementation of recurrent neural network for the forecasting of USD buy rate against IDR

    Get PDF
This study implements a recurrent neural network (RNN) by comparing two RNN network structures, namely Elman and Jordan using the backpropagation through time (BPTT) programming algorithm in the training and forecasting process in foreign exchange forecasting cases. The activation functions used are the linear transfer function, the tan-sigmoid transfer function (Tansig), and the log-sigmoid transfer function (Logsig), which are applied to the hidden and output layers. The application of the activation function results in the log-sigmoid transfer function being the most appropriate activation function for the hidden layer, while the linear transfer function is the most appropriate activation function for the output layer. Based on the results of training and forecasting the USD against IDR currency, the Elman BPTT method is better than the Jordan BPTT method, with the best iteration being the 4000th iteration for both. The lowest root mean square error (RMSE) values for training and forecasting produced by Elman BPTT were 0.073477 and 122.15 the following day, while the Jordan backpropagation RNN method yielded 0.130317 and 222.96 also the following day.
