No full textEste capítulo compendia el sentido del libro coordinado por María Zozaya, que cuenta con las contribuciones de veintitrés investigadores e investigadoras. Analiza las coordenadas de la sociabilidad y el patrimonio cultural como los ejes que articulan este libro. Comienza por resumir los conceptos, autores y principales líneas teóricas que han ido desgranando los sentidos de la sociabilidad desde la historia, la sociología y la antropología. Trata referentes historiográficos conocidos, pero también otros que normalmente no se tienen en cuenta, y que aquí son cnsiderados de gran relevancia para entender cómo a partir de la relación social se generan formas de patrimonio cultural. La contextualización del concepto de patrimonio cultural empleado es el segundo tema abordado en el presente artículo. Se tratan los términos que históricamente lo englobaron, los conceptos que han ido dándole sentido hasta llegar a la visión actual de patrimonio. Se centra en el concepto más renovada de patrimonio, aquel vinculado a los patrimonios creados por los habitantes en su quehacer cotidiano, aquellos bienes hechos a la medida de la sociedad. Aquellos bienes que por estar fuera de los parámetros tradicionales de monumentalidad y riqueza, lejos de aquellos patrimonios que durante décadas se han considerado los grandes tesoros y conservados aislados en museos. El estudio se centra en estudiar y revalorizar aquellos bienes que generó durante décadas o centurias la relación social, en su faceta material e inmaterial. En tercer lugar, este artículo compendia las contribuciones de los diferentes autores y autoras, que María Zozaya ha estructurado siguiendo el siguiente esquema de análisis por espacios: las formas de sociabilidad informal y privada (nocturna, casera, de encuentro musical improvisado en la tasca, en el baile...); las formas de sociabilidad realizadas en la esfera pública (en el teatro, la taberna urbana, los balnearios, mercados, hospitales...); y finalmente las formas de sociabilidad formalizadas (organizaciones com las cofradías, asociaciones y organizaciones como la masonería).FCT, CIDEHUS-Universidade de Évora UIDB/00057/202

No full textCoordinado por María Zozaya-Montes, este monográfico se centra en los patrimonios de proximidad, modestos, cotidianos, generados por las colectividades. Aquellos patrimonios que fueron producidos durante generaciones por las relaciones de sociabilidad, responsables por herencias inmateriales y piezas tangibles que representaban el mundo simbólico de las creencias. De esas formas de relación y socialización cotidiana han surgido formas patrimoniales que quieren ser protegidas en sentido amplio desde la declaración internacional de la Carta de Porto Santo, que fue promovida por Portugal durante su presidencia de la Unión Europea. Con esta filosofia uniendo el libro, se encargó de escribir su prólogo el principal responsable del Plano Nacional de las Artes en Portugal, su comisario Paulo Pires do Vale, en su misión de difundir por todo Portugal los principios democráticos de dicha carta. Abstract: Coordinated by María Zozaya-Montes, this monograph focuses on local, modest, everyday heritage generated by communities. Those patrimonies that were produced for generations by sociability relationships, were responsible for immaterial inheritances and tangible pieces that represented the symbolic world of beliefs. From these structures of relationship and daily socialization, patrimonial forms have emerged that want to be protected in a broad sense since the international declaration of the Charter of Porto Santo, which was promoted by Portugal during its presidency of the European Union. Here is analyzed throughout a critical edition of a diary of one of those engineers. The introduction of the book allows us to understand how really the history of the suboficials (military and military engineers) was imprisoned during the Napoleonic wars. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
