Monserrat constituye el representante más significativo y consistente del paradigma emergentista en nuestro entorno cultural, defendiendo un emergentismo humanista, que ha ido profundizando desde el nivel de los engramas neuronales hasta adherirse a las tesis de la neurología cuántica de Penrose y Hameroff. A lo largo de este artículo se presentan los principales planteamientos defendidos por J. Monserrat, dentro del horizonte del amplio paradigma del emergentismo sistémico, advirtiéndose como dicho paradigma le permite defender de un modo más adecuado un modelo antropológico humanista y creyente.</jats:p

He defends a humanist emergentism, which he has deepened from the level of neuronal engrams to later agree with the postulates on quantum neurology by Penrose and Hameroff. This article will present the main arguments supported by J. Monserrat, within the context of the ample paradigm of systemic emergentism. It will show how this paradigm allows him to defend a humanist and believing anthropological model in a more adequate way

No full textN-glycosylation is the most drastic and frequent modification of secretory pathway proteins. N-glycans fulfill several biological and structural roles. In the early secretory pathway, these moieties are exploited as an information platform of the folding status and age of glycoproteins. No full textEl presente artículo tiene como objeto de estudio las columnas escritas por Javier Marías, entre los años 2009 y 2013, en el espacio semanal La Zona Fantasma, ubicado en la última página de El País Semanal, suplemento dominical del diario El País. Para el estudio se ha recurrido a un análisis de contenido, a partir de la retórica aristotélica y su posterior renovación por Charles Perelman y Lucie Olbrechts Tyteca, expuesta en su Tratado de la argumentación. La metodología seguida ha permitido identificar las particularidades y características en cuanto a temas, enfoque, estructura y lenguaje que el autor utiliza. Cuantitativamente, se identificaron los temas, los argumentos, el léxico y las figuras literarias de cada columna, y cualitativamente, las temáticas, la construcción del Ethos del autor y la interpretación de los resultados, a la luz del contexto que
enmarca los años en los que se escriben las columnasThis article has as object of study the columns written by Javier Marías between the years 2009 and 2013 in the weekly space “La Zona Fantasma”, located in the last page of El País Semanal, a Sunday supplement in the News Paper El País. For study purposes we have used an analysis of content based on the Aristotelian Rhetoric and its posterior renovation by Charles Perelman and Lucie Olbrechts-Tyteca, exposed in their Treaty of Argumentation. The methodology followed allowed to identify the particularities and characteristics in relation to topics, approach, structure and language the author uses. The qualitative contribution consisted of the conclusions about the data obtained.

An Estimation of CPI Biases in Argentina 1985-2005, and its Implications on Real Income Growth and Income Distribution
No full textWe use the shifts in Engel curves estimated from household surveys to estimate CPI biases in Argentina between 1985 and 2005. We find that real earning levels increased during this period between 4.3 and 5.7% faster per year than previously estimated. More surprisingly, relative to conventional wisdom, that income distribution has improved throughout this period.
