    In Malaysia burglary cases are increasing dramatically. Therefore this project 1s designed to reduce this crime since this wireless security system is low in cost and able to be owned by everyone. Wireless Home Security System (WHSS) which is intended to be implemented in a double storey house with approximately 22 feet x 70 feet. The proposed system is developed to support seven different zones and at each zone, an Infrared Light Emitting Diode (IR LED) motion sensor is placed to sense any movement in the house. This system consists of two main modules namely transmitter and receiver module. Both receiver module and transmitter module is developed using PIC l 6F877 A microcontroller as a main controller unit. MicroC Compiler and MPLAB IDE® version 8. 7 are used to write the program of the system. Both of the software's are very compatible for writing and designing a program for Peripheral Interface Connection (PIC) microcontrollers. In the transmitter module, a remote control consists of a l 6x2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) and a 4x4 matrix keypad is developed to control the entire system. In addition, this cost-effective system also has capability to arm and disarm the selected zones remotely. In this system, only house owner having the right password can operate this remote control. If the sensor detects any movement at particular zones, the transmitter will transmit this information to the receiver module. As a result, the respective LED at the receiver will light on initiating the alert system to the house owner

This report was conducted for the building construction of steel truss for 2 storey link houses at Antara Gapi, Selangor. The objective of this report is to identify the method of steel truss construction. The focus was on how the steel truss were constructed and fabricated. It also determines the equipment used for installation and fabrication of steel truss on this site. The methods used to complete this report requires observation on the work carried on this site and interview sessions with related individuals. Main findings were the steel truss were easier to use and more economic also the construction procedure is easier compared to the wood truss

    Kehadiran fotografi sekitar 1890-an tatkala Malaya (kini Malaysia) yang masih lagi dibawah pemerintahan British bukanlah satu halangan untuk bidang fotografi untuk berkembang hingga ke hari ini. Fotografi ialah satu medium yang boleh digunakan untuk menghasilkan karya kreatif yang mempunyai unsur seninya yang tersendiri (Sabki Md. Noh, M. Shariful Hafizal, 2017). Pneghasilan karya dihasilkan mengikut tatacara teknikal yang memerlukan eksperimentasi berulang kali untuk mendapatkan hasil yang terbaik. Menekankan unsur atau elemen garisan (line) dalam penghasilan karya adalah tidak lain dan tidak bukan untuk menunjukkan kaitan unsur elemen seni dalam fotograf, tetapi juga memberi fokus dalam penggunaan elemen corak (pattern). Dalam bentuk hubungan sosial, artis cuba menyampaikan bahawa ketika melakukan pengambaran, visual perlu sentiasa diambil dengan berhati-hati agar setiap elemen seni yang di adun dalam penghasilan karya tidak ditenggelami mahupun lari dari konsep asal. Bagi artis, visual ini adalah satu bual bicara tentang apa yang dilakukan serta apa yang boleh sampaikan, selain bertujuan menyedarkan audiens mengenai proses kreatif artis ketika berkarya, yang menggambarkan maksud yang dipanggil kerja artis yang biasanya menerangkan bahasa sastera dalam bentuk visual.     Traditionally villagers communicate with each others via face to face. However there are few constraints such as distance, weather and time limitation. Therefore the researcher proposed a development of chat room system as an alternative medium of communication with an abusive word filtering as part of the features. This project applied waterfall model. The researcher also carried out a questionnaire to 100 villagers from a different background as research's respondents. From the questionnaire researcher find out that although the selected community have the awareness of using chat as part of communication medium, but it still can be improve more to ensure community can fully utilize the application in various type of fields. This system utilized an open source application included the combination of Apache as the web server, PHP as the web base programming tools and MySQL as the database. The system allowed user to communicate online in real time. In addition, any abusive word was filtered by agent As a conclusion, the significant of the chat system is to bring together community members on the internet and decrease a digital divide among citizens. This system also can be expanded to any other web portal in order to broaden the virtual community

    This project paper is conducted as to fulfill the partial requirement by Faculty of Business Management, MARA University of Technology (UiTM). The purpose of this study is to determine the association between financial literacy, job satisfaction and savings behaviour towards retirement planning among young professionals in private sector. Data used for this study are primary and secondary data such as from journal articles, textbook and also via internet. Therefore, a structural questionnaire is distributed and administered to collect data from the respondents in order to answer the research questions of this study. A total of 100 respondents of young professionals in private sector who aged between 20 until 34 years old participated in this study. Based on frequency analysis, reliability test, mean analysis and Pearson correlations in this study, a clear findings and results are obtained. The findings show that financial literacy, job satisfaction and savings behaviour has a positive association towards retirement planning. As such, the conclusion of this study is the outcome from the findings and survey analysis. A researcher also provides some recommendations and suggestions on how to improve and encourage young professionals in private sector to have a better retirement planning

    This study uses secondary data which stands of time series type of data involving several economic indicators. By using the seemingly related regression approach, it is critical to investigate the factors influencing the profits of AirAsia’s company over the period of first quarter 2005 until fourth quarter 2009. The study tests the relationships between the profits and various macroeconomic variables in Malaysia. The objective of this study were to identify the factors that influences the pattern of AirAsia’s profits, to know the most significant factor influencing the profits of AirAsia’s company, and to recommend some suggestion to this company refer to the regressions results. The study applies regression tests using E-views program in order to establish the possible causal relations between these variables. The model generated from Ordinary Lease Square (OLS) shows significances of t-statistics for every variable and the negative relations between independent and dependent variable.     Nanofluids are suspensions of metallic or nonmetallic nanopowders in base liquid and can be used to increase heat transfer rate in various applications. Because ofits enhanced h~at transfer capability as compared to normal based fluids such as water, its was offered the engineer opportunities for development in heat transfer and thermodynamic areas. This project reports an experimental investigation of work on the convective heat transfer ofnanofluids flowing through a copper tube in the laminar flow regime compare with water. The nanopartic1es that use in this experiment was made of Aluminium Nitrate (A1(N03)3.9H20) and Tin Chloride Hydrated (SnCh). These nanoparaticles is then mixed with water (H2O). Experimental results proved that the enhancement of heat transfer coefficient is due to the nanopartic1es present in the fluid. Heat transfer coefficient increases by increasing the concentration of nanopartic1es in nanofluid which use 0.6% vol,l.O% vol and 1.6%vol of water. The use of the nanopartic1es that mixed with water can significantly enhance the convective heat transfer in the laminar flow regime. The increase in heat transfer coefficient due to present of nanopartic1es is much higher than the prediction of single phase heat transfer correlation used with nanofluid properties

    Tunjukkan Kami Jalan Yang Lurus: Siri Fotografi I & II is a work produced against the backdrop of a straight road landscape. This location is taken in an area located in the state of Perlis. This photography was processed in a panoramic technique and was photographed in black and white. In addition to capturing the subject accurately, this series of photographs is produced with difficulty to be descriptively accurate and neutral in an interpretive and evatative manner (Barret, 2006). This work was adapted from the artist’s experience in navigating the world of learning to the ivory tower. The verse Tunjukkan Kami Jalan Yang Lurus (meaning “Keep us on the right path”) itself encompasses the artist’s memory of all those involved in teaching and educating themselves to become one of the successful and useful human beings today. With the permission of Allah S.W.T, the sacrifices of teachers and educators who contribute to what artists have today are a service that will never be forgotten.     SESB is a short form of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd. During the colonial era, the British Government formed the Central electricity Board in 1946 to support colonial economic activities in Malaysia. In 1955, the National Electricity Board was formed to replace the Central Electricity Board, and then it was corporatized in 1990 to become Tenaga National Berhad. In Sabah, the electricity supply has been available since before World War II, which is as early as year 1910. It was provided by three different organizations, Sandakan Light & Power Co. Ltd and Jesselton Ice Co, while in Labuan was run by The Rural Board. After independent of Sabah in Malaysia on 31st August 1963, Colony of North Borneo changed it's name to the State of Sabah, hence the North Borneo Electricity Board appropriately became known as the Sabah Electricity Board (SEB) and was reporting to the Minister of Communication and Public Works.     Development of AISI 316LVM austenitic stainless steel hybrid S phase layer for medical application / Mohammad Firdaus Mohammed Azmi

    Attempts to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of austenitic stainless steels using surface treatments in the past have resulted in corrosion resistance degradation due to chromium precipitation in the hardened layer. In this study, systematic gas diffusion thermochemical treatments and characterisation were performed on medical grade austenitic stainless steel AISI 316LVM (Sandvik Bioline) in order to establish the optimised treatment conditions (temperature, time and gas composition) which can maximise the austenitic stainless steel performance without sacrificing corrosion resistance. The hybrid S phase layer was systematically characterized by microscopy investigation, microhardness, phase analysis, potentiodynamics, pin on disk test, nanoindentation and nanoscratch according to each testing standards. According to the DOE optimisation results, the ideal treatment parameters for the low temperature hybrid heat treatment were when the temperature was set at 475 °C for 12 hours of holding time. The optimum gas composition was when methane, ammonia and nitrogen simultaneously introduced at 10 %, 80 % and 10 % respectively. The nitrogen and carbon element dissolved in the austenitic lattice forming an interstitial supersaturated solid solution called the hybrid S phase layer. From the microscopy result, up to 13.3 μm hybrid S phase layer thickness was developed. The characterization results found the hybrid S phase layer able to significantly increase the bulk material surface hardness up to 1461 HV0.025, the wear resistance where about three times improvement and the corrosion resistance compared to the untreated material. The nano-tribological behaviour of the hybrid S phase layer shows improved the wear resistance coefficient and decreased the coefficient of friction. In addition, it has good cohesion where no evidence of delamination when the samples are nanoscratched vertically up to 50 mN and it is a noteworthy discovery for the biological field. The biocompatibility studies on the hybrid S phase found that they are biocompatible under the cytotoxicity (ISO 10993-5) and cell adhesion (ASTM F813-20) tests conducted. Therefore, the use of hybrid S phase as surface modification process on medical grade austenitic stainless steel might be suitable in biomedical applications
