Dynamics of Network Formation Processes in the Co-Author Model
This article studies the dynamics in the formation processes of a mutual consent network in game theory setting: the Co-Author Model. In this article, a limited observation is applied and analytical results are derived. Then, 2 parameters are varied: the number of individuals in the network and the initial probability of the links in the network in its initial state. A simulation result shows a finding that is consistent with an analytical result for a state of equilibrium while it also shows different possible equilibria.Dynamics, Network, Game Theory, Model,Simulation, Equilibrium, Complexity

Pairwise stable and stochastically stable networks in the four-person co-author model
The co-author model is introduced by Jackson and Wolinsky (1996, Journal of Economic Theory) as a typical example of the models of network formation. In this note, we study which network is pairwise stable and/or stochastically stable when the number of players is four.
Group topic-author model for efficient discovery of latent social astroturfing groups in tourism domain
Abstract Astroturfing is a phenomenon in which sponsors of fake messages or reviews are masked because their intentions are not genuine. Astroturfing reviews are intentionally made to influence people to take decisions in favour of or against a target service or product or organization. The tourism sector being one of the sectors that is flourishing and witnessing unprecedented growth is affected by the activities of astroturfers. Astroturfing reviews can cause many problems to tourists who make decisions based on available online reviews. However, authentic and genuine reviews help people make informed decisions. In this paper a Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) based Group Topic-Author model is proposed for efficient discovery of social astroturfing groups within the tourism domain. An algorithm named Astroturfing Group Topic Detection (AGTD) is defined for the implementation of the proposed model. The experimental results of this study revealed the utility of the proposed system for the discovery of social astroturfing groups within the tourism domain
Co-author model with homophily
This work shows an extension of the well-known model of the co-author developed in (Jackson and Wolinsky, 1996). In this document a modification of this model can be found where the marked tendency of the human being to relate to other similar individuals is taken into account. This addition is proposed with the intention of finding networks whose structure meets the definitions of efficiency and stability in pairs at the same time. The main objective of the model is to show that homophily makes it possible to deal with the existing conflict in the co-author’s model regarding the structures in socially optimal networks and individually optimal networks
BOOLEAN NETWORK AND SIMMELIAN TIE IN THE CO-AUTHOR MODEL: A STUDY OF DYNAMICS AND STRUCTURE OF A STRATEGIC ALLIANCE MODEL
This article explains a simulation of the Co-Author Model (CAM) applied in strategic alliance setting where firms use and optimize their network resources. To understand its process casualty better, I explain the model's mechanisms in terms of its interactive dynamics and resulting equilibrium structure. Classified as a Boolean network with two inputs, CAM's dynamics cause a biased equilibrium structure that could then be explained by the Simmelian tie and the completion of structure through structural balance. These explanations not only could answer the criticism that a simulation model is merely a toy model without much realism but could also explain and give insights to both substantive theory and methodology development in strategic alliance research. The results include the effect of a third party, the embeddedness of firms in their alliances, and the real-world implications of the "frozen web": a phenomenon drawn parallel to the financial crisis beginning in 2007.Mechanism design, network, game theory, strategic alliance, structural balance

A Relational Unsupervised Approach to Author Identification
In the last decades speaking and writing habits have changed.
Many works faced the author identification task by exploiting frequencybased
approaches, numeric techniques or writing style analysis. Following
the last approach we propose a technique for author identification
based on First-Order Logic. Specifically, we translate the complex data
represented by natural language text to complex (relational) patterns
that represent the writing style of an author. Then, we model an author
as the result of clustering the relational descriptions associated to the
sentences. The underlying idea is that such a model can express the typical
way in which an author composes the sentences in his writings. So,
if we can map such writing habits from the unknown-author model to
the known-author model, we can conclude that the author is the same.
Preliminary results are promising and the approach seems viable in real
contexts since it does not need a training phase and performs well also
with short texts
