    No full text
Those fields of the humanities dedicated to Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe studies, are faced nowadays with the need not only to reflect on their own imperial or colonial roots, but also to rethink their goals and guidelines. In this questionnaire our regular authors and longtime friends and colleagues Sergey Zenkin, Serguei Alex. Oushakine, Alexander Semyonov, Nikolai Plotnikov, Catriona Kelly, Elena Chkhaidze, Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht, Ellen Rutten, Kevin M.F. Platt, Mark Lipovetsky, Evgeny Dobrenko, Riccardo Nicolosi, Aleida Assmann, and Mikhail Iampolski answer the questions about the recent past and near future of the humanities

    Contemporary social management technologies

    No full text
Analyzing the practices of development, application and research in managerial social technologies, the author reveals a number of essential problems in their further development. The revealed problems are combined into three groups: the problems of theory and methodology, the problems of development and the problem of practical application. Basing on the analysis of modern managerial social technologies, the author suggests comprehensive and universal classification that uses the two criteria: the content of technology and its functional relevance. The applied research taken by the author and described in the article reveals that managerial social technologies as a phenomenon are widespread in contemporary managerial practice. However the practice is irregular and not systematic, while its efficiency is still low

«Bless yourself included in Union new monasticism...» Letters of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky) to Bishop Boris (Plotnikov) (1886–1900 biennium)

    No full text
The publication presents the letters of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky), one of the most famous bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church the late XIX — early XX century. The letters belong to the early period of the educational and church activities of Metropolitan Anthony (1886–1900). The letters addressed to archimandrite, and on March 1886 Bishop Boris (Plotnikov) — graduate and teacher of the Kazan Theological Academy, and then inspector of the Moscow Theological Academy, rector of the Kiev Theological Seminary and Saint Petersburg Theological Academy. The author of the letters regards the problems of academic monasticism in Russia, theological schools and the general condition of the spiritual life of Russian society 1880–1890-ies. So, Metropolitan Anthony formulates their concept of education of the priesthood and the consolidation of academic monasticism, which, from the point of view of Metropolitan Anthony, must play a crucial role in solving spiritual problems of Russian society. There have been some important features of the spiritual life of the school in one of the most difficult periods of their history. Published letters are in the archive fund bishop Boris (Plotnikov) in the Department of Manuscripts of the National Library of Russia, and researchers have not been used previously

Changes in the stiffness of load-bearing elements of a high-rise building and inclinometer data based on finite element analysis

    No full text
The use of monitoring techniques during the operation of a building contributes to the study of the stress-strain state of both known and newly developed structural systems. The article discusses the effect of reducing the bending stiffness of reinforced concrete crossbars of high-rise buildings on the overall deformability, which can be monitored by changing the angles of rotation at characteristic points. For the introduction into the model of the calculation based on finite elements of the physical parameters of the stiffness of reinforced concrete bending elements, the function of the change in the shoulder of a pair of forces in the section during the opening of normal cracks is given. Empirical data on changes in the stress unevenness coefficient along the length of the reinforcing bar are used. The calculation is based on the diagrammatic method. The data on the accumulated experience of measuring the angles of rotation of a building with automatic monitoring of buildings are presented. Using the finite element method, the systems were simulated with a decrease in stiffness to 0.4 from the initial one. It is shown that it is possible to select a range of sensors - angle meters - inclinometers. It has been determined that the angle of rotation can be changed up to 1.6 times. The corresponding ranges are defined for two types of frameworks: frame and frame-braced. The nature of the change in the overall stiffness of the building frame as a result of reducing the stiffness of the crossbars is shown. Calculation models based on the finite element method determined the deformation limits of the entire frame as a whole
