Investigating Structural Relationship among Service Quality Dimensions, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer Loyalty for Conventional Bank Customers: Evidence from Bangladesh
Customers of the banks are highly servicing sensitive in Bangladesh. The quality of service has become an integral part of customer satisfaction. Day by day, It has been demonstrated that customer satisfaction and loyalty are linked to service quality. There is also a link between service quality and customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty in banks. Therefore, this paper investigated the effect of service quality factors on customer satisfaction and the relationship between customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in conventional banks in Bangladesh. A survey was conducted on 13 different conventional banks in Bangladesh. Using simple random sampling, 220 customers were selected as a sample from selected conventional banks for this study. The research was carried out using a structured questionnaire. The SPSS software was used to analyze the demographic data. Multivariate analysis technique like Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to identify the influential factors for the bank\u27s customer loyalty by using SmartPLS3 software. The study found that all service quality factors such as assurance, reliability, responsiveness, and tangibility are the influential factors except empathy
Role of Technology in the Development of Smart Cities
The key aim of this paper is to address the technical effects of smart city growth. While the smart city issue has been discussed in recent literature, it is of interest if macro ICT considerations should also be considered for determining a city\u27s technical advancement. First of all, literature analysis of a smart city is presented to accomplish this purpose. Along with a theoretical structure focused on the information community, an overview of the smart city idea is included. The ICT development of Smart Cities depends on the characteristics and features of the cities, as well as on macro-technological considerations. Cities that use information technology as a means of urban sustainability build smartness to emerge as smart cities as a source of constant growth and transformation within the urban ecosystem, pursuing a managerial and organizational vision of sustainability. The aim of this thesis is to suggest a theoretical overview of the city as a sustainable society that drives urban development and adopts a smart urban growth vision.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Heat Waves in Bangladesh: Understanding the Threats and Finding Solutions
Bangladesh has seen a significant rise in the number and strength of heat waves in recent years. These heat waves are hazardous for health, farming, and the economy. This paper investigates why these heat waves are happening, how they affect different areas, and what can be done to lessen their harmful effects. By carefully studying weather data, climate models, and economic and social factors, this study aims to give valuable ideas on how to adapt and reduce the impact of heat waves. The results show that it’s essential to work together to deal with heat waves\u27 many effects and help communities become stronger. With the right actions and policies, we can lower the risks of extreme heat, protect people’s health, and ensure the economy and environment stay strong
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
E-Recruitment in Practice: A Study on Jobseekers’ Perception in Bangladesh
The rapid growth and use of the Internet over the last several years has changed the way companies’ conduct of business activities, including the activities of human resource management. To attract and recruit best employees is one of the great challenges for Human Resource Department. Today online recruiting has become a significant tool for Human Resource Department. Bangladeshi companies also can recruit with their websites, job boards or resume banks, newspaper classified ads, and job boards. Online recruiting processes increase firms' competitive advantage through increased efficiency and lower costs and offers benefits and opportunities to jobseekers. This paper investigates the perceptions and behaviors of job-seekers concerning the use of the Internet as a recruiting source. 204 survey questionnaires were distributed to job seekers who are almost regularly using Internet for various purposes. The results showed that perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment are positively and significantly related to the behavioral intention to use Internet as a job search tool. The study implies that the developers of online job sites need to provide additional useful functionalities or tools in the sites to help users for job search. The paper provides an insight for jobseekers to find employment by using Internet as a job search tool
IoT for Future Technology Augmentation: A Radical Approach
Known as the Internet of Things (IoT), it is a new paradigm that has transformed a traditional way of life into a high-tech way of life. Smart cities, smart homes, pollution management, energy conservation, smart transportation, and smart industries are all examples of transformations brought about by the Internet of Things. A large number of important research studies and investigations have been carried out in order to improve technology through the Internet of Things. However, there is still a slew of obstacles and issues that must be addressed before the Internet of Things can realize its full potential. These challenges and issues must be evaluated from a variety of perspectives related to the Internet of Things, including applications, challenges, enabling technologies, social and environmental implications, and so on. In this review article, the primary purpose is to present an in-depth discussion from both a technological and a sociological standpoint. The article examines the various obstacles and critical issues associated with the Internet of Things and the architecture and important application domains. Additionally, the essay brings to light the existing literature and illustrates its significance to many parts of the Internet of Things. Furthermore, the significance of big data and its analysis in relation to the Internet of Things has been highlighted. This article will assist readers and researchers in better understanding the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it might be applied in the real world
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
