Dynamic augmentation of SCORM pre-authored course materials with adaptive links to supplementary resources
In a SCORM compliant courseware, content and the pedagogic approach to be taken are predefined by the course author. As a consequence, users are unable to learn according to their preferences, and implicitly they will all encounter the same learning experience. Recent attempts to personalise learning in SCORM often resulted in either modifying or substituting SCORM specification elements. Nonetheless, SCORM is a widely-used solution to interoperability problems. For this reason, this work focuses on supplementing SCORM rather than redefining it. This is accomplished by dynamically associating each pre-authored learning material in a SCORM package with adaptive links to relevant supplementary resources upon delivery. As a result, we have developed a Personalised Link Service (PLS) to deliver these links into user’s SCORM-compliant learning environment. In this paper, we present the design of a PLS authoring architecture which enables the automatic generation of a concept map from a SCORM package and consequently links to alternative learning resources, and a PLS run-time service oriented architecture which delivers these alternative resources, alongside the SCORM defined resources, according to a user model. We demonstrate the feasibility of our architecture by implementing a service to support a simple notion of a user model (Preferred Learning style)
Identifikasi Tokoh Abdullah bin Saba’ Dalam Literatur Sunni dan Syi’ah
This paper tries to explain the history of Abdullah bin Saba 'which was perpetuated by the scholars because of its enormous role in the dark history of the people in the early days of Islam, in this case it has been written by classical Ulama in the Chronicles Sunni, such as Imam at Tabari in inbook Tarikhhisscholars, clerics and others. so also in the books of Shiite scholars. However, there are those who doubt the path of the transmission because only from one lane, Abdullah bin Saba is 'doubtful and declares that Abdullah bin Saba' is a prominent figure. It starts from the path of transmission which is in the book of Chronicles, only one path. Therefore, the author tries to examine the path of transmission in the book of the Date. This study uses the content analysis method. As a source of data used in the study of the truth of Abdulllah bin Saba 'figure, namely through the perspective of the Sunni and Shia books. The author tries to explain the results of research that shows that the figure of Abdullah bin Saba 'the fact of his existence and information obtained from Sunni and Shia data sources has similarities about the figure
Syekh Abdullah Ahmad Figure of Renewal Islamic Education
This research aims to find out what Abdullah Ahmad's idea of renewing Islamic education was. The type of research used is qualitative research with a historical approach. This research data was taken from the Google Scholar database, the author used Google Scholar as the main source of information by analyzing documents related to the idea of renewing Islamic education by Abdullah Ahmad. The results of this research show that first, the curriculum according to H. Abdullah Ahmad is that there is no separation between general knowledge and religious knowledge, the two must be balanced, not separated. Second, effective learning methods according to H. Abdullah Ahmad, namely; (a) debating club method, (b) praise and punishment method, (c) play and recreation method. Third, the learning media offered by H. Abdullah Ahmad uses a system of using tables, chairs and whiteboards in the learning process. Fourth, Media, the use of print media as a learning medium according to H. Abdullah Ahmad is also necessary so that the educational message reaches the learning objectives. Fifth, Education Cost Budget. With the change to HIS, Adabiyah succeeded in getting subsidies from the Dutch colonial government
An Architecture for Augmenting the SCORM Run-Time Environment with a Personalised Link Service
As the result of recent advances in the business of e-learning there has been a growing interest in e-learning standards, particularly SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model). SCORM is a reference model that integrates a collection of e-learning resource standards and specifications. In a SCORM compliant courseware, content and the pedagogic approach to be taken are predefined by the course author. As a consequence, users are unable to learn according to their preferences, and implicitly they will all encounter the same learning experience. Recent attempts to personalise learning in SCORM often resulted in either modifying SCORM or substituting its course sequencing mechanism with Adaptive Hypermedia techniques. Nonetheless, SCORM is a widely-used solution to interoperability problems with e-learning resources and can realise not only content sharing and reusability but also a consistent sequencing of course content across different systems and tools. For these reasons, this thesis focuses on supplementing SCORM sequencing rather than redefining it. The novelty of this work is that it builds an adaptive environment around the existing SCORM, without extending or modifying SCORM itself. The work integrates Adaptive Hypermedia principles into the SCORM Run-Time Environment as an independent service to support the environment with learning materials that are preferable to both teachers (primary materials of their choice) and students (supplementary materials that are pre-selected to suit some aspects of their user models to assist their understanding of the primary materials). This SCORM-complementing approach can also enable the SCORM Run-Time Environment to include on-demand external resources into the environment in order to address SCORM’s limitation of static pool of learning resources. The novel contribution of this work is the design of an authoring architecture which enables the automatic generation of a concept map and consequently links to alternative learning resources, and a run-time service oriented architecture which delivers these alternative resources, alongside the SCORM defined resources, according to a dynamic user model
Ghayat al-amani and the life and times of al-Hadi Yahya b. al-Husayn: an introduction, newly edited text and translation with detailed annotation
The thesis is anchored upon a text extracted from an important 11th / 17th century Yemeni historical work. This text deals primarily with al-Hādī ilā 'I-Haqq, the founder of the Zaydī Imamate in the Yemen that lasted well over a thousand years. AI-Hādīs imamate, of considerable significance in itself, also coincides with one of the most turbulent periods of early Yemeni mediaeval history. The- edited Arabic text, with its accompanying apparatus criticus. Is to be found at the opposite end of this volume. The Introduction considers various aspects of Imam al-Hadī’s life, religious ideas and aspirations and matters directly connected with the edited text and the work of which it forms a part. Among the most important subjects discussed are the MSS used in the production of the edited text, the problem concerning the authorship of Ghāyat al-amānī and the relationship of the latter work to Anbā' al-zaman. A short biography of al-Hādī is provided, together with a treatment of the historical background to ai-Hādīs imamate. The introduction also describes the editorial method followed with regard to the text, and certain key personal names and toponyms are dealt with there. The method employed by the author of the Ghāyat is to record the events of any one year by Itself. I have translated one year at a time and then followed it by the annotations appertaining to it. It is hoped that by means of these annotations. (some of which through necessity are quite detailed ), the text will be better understood. The numerous personages, tribal names and toponyms are considered, as well as problems concerning points of chronology and various matters of historical and religious significance. Specific comment is made upon certain interesting terms or any unusual or striking vocabulary. The thesis concludes with maps, genealogical tables and a comprehensive bibliography
Water promoted allylic nucleophilic substitution reactions of (E)-1,3 diphenylallyl acetate
Transition metal free, water based, greener protocol for allylic alkylation, allylic amination, O-allylation of (E)-1,3-diphenylallyl acetate is described. The developed methodology is applicable for a wide range of nucleophiles furnishing excellent yields of corresponding products up to 87% under mild reaction conditions. A Distinct effect of water and base is explored for allylic nucleophilic substitution reactions of (E)-1,3-diphenylallyl acetate. The author Seema Arun Ghorpade is thankful to the Department of Science and Technology (DST) India for providing DST INSPIRE Senior Research Fellowship and Institute of Chemical Technology, Matunga, Mumbai. Ibadism in Oman and developments in the field of Christian – Muslim relationships
The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between Christians and the IbadT of Oman, as a contribution to Christian-Muslim dialogue. The main focus is an assessment of the contribution offered in the past by the small missionary presence, and of the potential scope and areas of dialogue between the recent guest-worker Christian community, and their hosts - a Muslim country growing in international status. The thesis tells the story of a dynamic engagement in dialogue. The history, customs and beliefs of the country will be outlined, with particular emphasis on meeting points with Christian missionaries. The History of the Imams and Seyyids of Oman by SalTl bin Razlk, translated by CP. Badger and published in 1871, is the source of several more recent works consulted. The Journal of the Arabian Mission of the Reformed Church of America, Neglected Arabia/ Arabia Calling: 1892-1962 and the quarterly The Muslim World (from 1911) have been among other main sources. Some of the many books and articles by Samuel Zwemer have been read; he visited Muscat in Oman on several occasions - his brother Peter contracting a fatal illness while serving there. The IbadT believe their understanding of Islam to be close to that of the Prophet Muhammad; individual in faith, they fiercely claim to be orthodox in their interpretation of the Our'an and they are quick to speak out when they think Its essential tenets are being compromised. They can therefore perhaps afford to be relaxed when it comes to living alongside those who are not themselves IbadT and are willing to listen to them with an open mind. Their courteous meeting with the Christians they welcome to their country offers clues in the wider field of Christian-Muslim relations
PAI Learning Media in The Perspective of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan in The Society Era 5.0
In the Society era 5.0, the advancement of technology and knowledge is progressing at a breakneck pace. As a result of this innovation, the way in which society seeks and obtains information, which is no longer restricted to only newspapers, radio, and television, has undergone a paradigm shift. They quickly access the information they need via the internet. One area that has had a significant impact with the development of this technology is education. With the continuous development of the internet, students can use the internet to add knowledge and learning materials. They can look for examples of practice questions to test their abilities. The internet is an essential tool for improving the quality of education. Education is going through a rough patch right now, particularly with regard to Islamic Religious Education Course or PAI after going through the millennial period, which has shown to be difficult to govern in terms of morality and is now also facing a pandemic. The solution that the author offers to deal with this is to use Abdullah Nasih ulwan's thoughts in PAI learning. This research aims to explore Abdullah Nasih Ulwan's thoughts on learning media. This research used a qualitative method, namely a literature review. Data sources were journals and books in the forms of descriptive narratives about Abdullah Nasih Ulwan and Learning Media. As for the results of this research, the media used to deal with today’s situation is to use e-learning and multimedia or digital media such as online applications/platforms, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, gamification, and so on

Metode Keteladanan dan Urgensinya Dalam Pendidikan Akhlak Menurut Perspektif Abdullah Nashih Ulwan
This paper explores Abdullah Nashih Ulwan's ideas about exemplary methods and their urgency in moral education. In this writing, the author uses the Content Analysis approach, so that the results of the study are not numbers but interpretations and words. The data collection was carried out with literature review techniques by making the book Tarbiyatul Aulad Fil Islam by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan as primary data, and the literature relating to the object of this study as secondary data. Then the data collected is analyzed using content analysis, i.e., by sorting out the data collected to analyze its contents according to what is needed so that a conclusion can be drawn. This research proves as follows: 1) According to Nashih Ulwan, the exemplary method is a method used in education in the context of forming the character of children by means of educators providing good role models for children. The examples of role models that must be exemplified by an educator are humility, courage, patience, honesty, piety, and firmness in children. 2) The importance of moral education in an educator must have a character or character that reflects good behavior in all aspects, especially in aspects of worship and morals. Educators must instill good attitude or role models in children.
Keywords: Exemplary Method, Perspective, Moral Education.
