OBIETTIVI La riabilitazione implantoprotesica del mascellare superiore risulta spesso ostacolata nei settori posteriori dall’estensione del seno mascellare. In caso di osso residuo di scarsa qualità e di altezza inferiore ai 5 mm, le tecniche chirurgiche tradizionali prevedono l’applicazione di procedure chirurgiche invasive per ripristinare un volume osseo sufficiente all’inserzione degli impianti, quali il rialzo del pavimento sinusale tramite antrostomia laterale. In questi casi è inoltre generalmente proposto un approccio two-stage, con inserzione degli impianti non contestuale al rialzo di seno, ma una volta avvenuta la guarigione dell’innesto
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Evaluation of Prosthetic Marginal Fit and Implant Survival Rates for Conventional and Digital Workflows in Full-Arch Immediate Loading Rehabilitations: A Retrospective Clinical Study
Digital impression provides several advantages in implant prosthodontics; however, its use in full-arch rehabilitations, especially immediately after surgery, has yet to be validated. The aim of this study was to retrospectively analyse the fit of immediate full-arch prostheses, fabricated using conventional or digital impressions. Patients requiring a full-arch immediate loading rehabil- itation were divided into three groups: T1 (digital impression taken immediately after surgery), T2 (Preoperative digital impression, guided surgery -prefabricated temporary bridge) and C (conventional impression taken immediately after surgery). Immediate temporary prostheses were delivered within 24 h after surgery. X-rays were obtained at the time of prosthesis delivery and at the 2 - year follow-up. Primary outcomes were cumulative survival rate (CSR) and prosthesis fit. Second- ary outcomes were marginal bone level (MBL) and patient satisfaction. One hundred and fifty pa- tients were treated from 2018 to 2020, with 50 in each group. Seven implants failed during the ob- servation period. The CSR was 99% for T1, 98% for T2 and 99.5% for C. A statistically significant difference in prosthesis fit was found among T1 and T2 vs. C. A statistically significant difference was found in the MBL between T1 and C. The outcomes of the present study suggest that digital impression is a viable alternative to conventional protocols for the realisation of full-arch immediate loading prostheses
Adhesive strength of the luting technique for passively fitting screw-retained implant-supported prostheses: an in vitro evaluation.
PURPOSE: This in vitro study evaluated the adhesive strength of a technique to lute implant cylinders to metal frameworks in implant-supported prostheses and ensure a good passive fit. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Different height samples were tested: In group 1, implant cylinders were 5 mm long; in group 2, they were 10 mm long. A universal testing machine (Instron) was used to perform pullout tests. RESULTS: The luting technique provided enough adhesive strength for clinical use with greater adhesive strength in group 2 (mean pull-out strength: 2.85 kN in group 1 versus 3.79 kN in group 2). CONCLUSIONS: The luting technique provides enough adhesive strength for clinical use. Moreover, specimens with a larger surface for adhesion demonstrated higher adhesive strength compared with shorter specimens
