Needs assessment for administrative office manager associate degree program in the Western Wisconsin Technical College district
Plan BThe changing role of the administrative office manager is creating opportunities for individuals in the office occupations with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. In Western Wisconsin, two office management occupations, administrative support supervisors and administrative services managers, are expected to have a growth rate of 14.8% and 12%, respectively, between 1998 and 2008. Currently, there is not an associate degree program in the Western Wisconsin Technical College (WWTC ) district, or the state of Wisconsin, to train administrative office managers. A needs assessment was undertaken to determine if there is a need for an associate degree program for administrative office manager in the Western Wisconsin Technical College district. The needs assessment surveyed a stratified sample of employers from the WWTC district. Five business program advisory committees were selected for the survey. The advisory committees consisted of sixty-two members, representing forty-three business. To ensure the survey reached the employment specialist, a telephone call was made to each advisory committee member to obtain the name of the employment specialist. To avoid the employment specialist receiving duplicate surveys, businesses participating in multiple advisory committees received only one survey document. The needs assessment survey was developed to be used in preparation of a Program Investigation for new programs in the Wisconsin Technical College System. The Program Investigation includes a needs assessment as a requirement for development of new programs. If a need exists for a new program in the WWTC District, the Program Investigation is prepared and submitted the WWTC District Board for approval. Upon approval by the WWTC District Board, the Program Investigation is submitted to the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board for final approval. No new programs can be implemented within the state without approval of the WTCS Board
A performance analysis of graduate school staff at University of Wisconsin-Stout
Plan BThe University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout) Graduate School serves the campus community with a coordinator position and three permanent support staff positions. After a consultant from Noel-Levitz visited campus and a University wide analysis (ESURC), several recommendations were forwarded to UW-Stout Academic and Student Affairs administrators. One specific recommendation was to evaluate all permanent positions in the Graduate School and match tasks with people to better meet the needs of the graduate community. A performance analysis of these positions was conducted and the results are reported in this study. To accomplish this performance analysis, Graduate School staff, were asked to describe their position tasks and duties in detail. This analysis was documented and recommendations for possible changes to better serve the campus community were forwarded to the UW-Stout Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor for review

Peningkatan Status Indonesia menjadi Associate Member Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG)

Course grades and standardized tests as predictors of successful completion of the associate degree nursing program at Lakeshore Technical College
Plan BDue to the increasingly severe shortage of registered nurses, Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) is now more aware of, and more determined to deal with the issues of student recruitment and retention. Successful completion of the Associate Degree Nursing Program (A.D.N.) at Lakeshore Technical College depends on many factors, both intrinsic and extrinsic to the program. Variables that affect the learner such as family concerns, health, or program related issues might lead to problems in school related areas such as retention. Student records of 174 LTC associate degree nursing students, enrolling in the program in and after January of 1997, who graduated, failed, or withdrew from the program by May 2000, will be analyzed. Grades received in specific required general education courses, pre-nursing required science courses, and scores received on the American College Test (ACT) or Assessment of Student Skills for Entry Test (ASSET) will be studied. This data will be examined to determine if a pattern exists between grades, standardized testing scores, and retention in the LTC associate degree-nursing (A.D.N.) program. Analysis of the data obtained in this research may identify factors that could alert faculty members to academic problems and potential failure of the student. It would also allow for early intervention to aid the student through the use of guidance, faculty or peer assistance, and promote successful completion of the program
Embodying identity through tattooing: Autoethnography and the “bodyscape”
Fans of Heavy Metal music have a unique style of appearance and interaction through which a sub-cultural community is formed and maintained. This presentation describes aspects of Dave’s autoethnographic doctoral thesis in relation to the embodied nature of tattooing and the display of cultural symbols associated with the shared identity of Metaller. Drawing upon Dave’s interactions with one of his heavily tattooed participants, referred to affectionately in this research as “Chopper”, he will discuss the ways in which tattoos and associated descriptions can render into view community assumptions, practices, and relationships.
Chopper’s tattoos are colourful and embodied statements of membership and community. By focusing on the dialectics of tattoos and their metonymic relationship with a Heavy Metal
community, we explore how this participant’s sense of self as a member has been imprinted upon his flesh. The concepts of metonym and bodyscape are employed as a means of exploring and theorising the construction, expression, and performance of identity and community at sub-cultural events such as local gigs. Such events provide opportunities for bodyscapes to be enacted through social interactions. Our analysis moves beyond the description of specific representations to broader observations about the ways in which social relationships and community are rendered meaningful through mediated and interpersonal communication featuring these tattoos

The concept of organizational knowledge and its associate component parts
2021 Fall.Includes bibliographical references.Within its extant literature organizational knowledge is theorized as an entity that can be created, captured, and transferred. A pragmatic and applied definition of the concept of organizational knowledge is absent in the literature. Presumptively, the concept of organizational knowledge can be defined, clarified, and articulated, the exploratory journey of which is the goal of this dissertation. This related aim is twofold. First, to begin a process of contributing to description of the concept of organizational knowledge and its associate component parts. And, second, to inform future understanding and inquiry of the concept and its associate component parts. The dissertation presents in manuscript form, three articles that inform these two study objectives. Collectively, the three-article format begins the process of advancing a definition, description, and expanded understanding of the concept of organizational knowledge and its associate component parts. The specific research design employs three distinct lenses to this end, namely, one methodological (of methods), one conceptual (of integrative literature review) and one empirical (of case study)
