Stainless steel bipolar plate coated with polyaniline/Zn-Porphyrin composites coatings for proton exchange membrane fuel cell
The proton exchange membrane fuel cells are the promising sustainable energy sources. The present study focuses on the enhancement the fuel cell performance and the protection of the stainless steel bipolar plate from the corrosion using polyaniline/Zn-Porphyrin composites coatings. The electrochemical properties (polarization and impedance) of the coated 303 stainless steel in 1.0 M H2SO4 solution have been evaluated. The coated 303 stainless steel by new composites exhibits the excellent anti-corrosion activity towards corrosive fuel cell electrolyte. The polyaniline/Zn-Porphyrin composite gives an excellent performance by adding 1.0% of Zn-Porphyrin. This composite improves the output power of the fuel cell
PANI@Co-Porphyrins composite for the construction of supercapacitors
Here we present for the first time, a high-performance supercapacitor based on PANI@Co-Porphyrins composite electrode. The evaluation of new supercapacitor has been achieved by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GSCD) tests in 1.0 M H2SO4 solution. The as-prepared composite is confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. The incorporation of Co-Porphyrins nanoparticles into polyaniline (PANI) enhances greatly the electrochemical performance of supercapacitor. The new supercapacitor based on PANI@Co-Porphyrins composite electrode displays superior specific capacitance of 823 F g−1 at 0.5 A g−1. Further increasing the current density to 20 A g−1, leads to a decrease in Cs values to reach to 560 F g−1. The capacitance retention is maintained at nearly 91% after 1000 cycles. As well, the supercapacitor yields an optimum energy density and power density in the range from 41 to 27 Wh kg−1 and 150 to 5856 W kg−1, respectively
Polyaniline/Zn-phthalocyanines nanocomposite for protecting zinc electrode in Zn-air battery
The effect of the incorporation of Zn-phthalocyanines (ZnPc) nanoparticles into polyaniline coating (PANI) forming a new nanocomposite polyaniline/Zn-phthalocyanines (PANI@ZnPc) on the Zn-air battery performance has been investigated. The anticorrosion activity of the PANI@ZnPc coating is evaluated by the polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. The results reveal that, the PANI@ZnPc nanocomposite gives a higher protective performance (97.7%) than the neat PANI (74.8%). The incorporation of ZnPc particles into PANI matrix is responsible for the increase in the coating resistance and AC conductivity. PANI@ZnPc nanocomposite delivers a high specific discharge capacity (713 mAh g-1) and enhances the capacity retention up to 98.5%. Therefore, Zn electrode coated with PANI@ZnPc can improve Zn-Air battery performance to a high extent, which may be beneficial for energy applications

The beauty of measure. Control, drawing, design in Milan in Bramante’s and Leonardo’s work. / La bellezza della misura. Controllo, disegno, progetto a Milano da Bramante a Leonardo.
Measurement, intended as a quantitative evaluation tool, has always been a significant instrument of investigation and knowledge. In architecture, it refers to the survey, considered the most powerful tool for investigating the project and the building’s dimensioning. Measure defines and characterizes the artificial space by expressing dimensions through numbers and controlling the construction.
In Classical architecture, measurement used to mean proportion and the design is a numerical program that defines the parts in the whole, where the number is linked to the unit of the metric system in use.
Late 15th-century Milan architecture offers two exemplary masterpieces of how numbers and measurements characterize design in creating spaces, which can generate a visual space that expands the physical reality of construction.
These are the two experimental interpretations of perspective on an architectural scale, adopted by Bramante and Leonardo in the church of Santa Maria presso San Satiro and in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie, revealing a design program in which the geometry of space (number and measure) is the key to the artifice generating a virtual space that differs from the real one in a sort of analogical anticipation of augmented reality.
Perspective, meaning the measure of space, creates virtual interiors where the harmony of numbers that define the concept controls becomes concinnitas
