    Actors of the Civil War in Turkmenistan: the truth and fiction about Junaid Khan

    The article describes about little-known pages in the life of one of the key military and political leaders of the Civil War in Turkmenistan, Junaid Khan — Kurbanmamed serdar (1862–1938). The historiography of the issue is criticized. Based on unpublished sources from the founds of state and departmental archives, the details of the biography of this figure related to his participation in the fratricidal confrontation are clarified. The theoretical basis of the study is a combination of military anthropology, problematic and comparative historical methods. Summing up, the author assesses the personality of Junaid Khan against the backdrop of the controversial era in which this military and political figure lived

    Study of Rheological Behaviour of Spherocylindrical Particle Suspension via CFD-DEM: Formulation of Stress-Closure for Industrial Fluidized Bed Simulation

    While colloidal suspensions of non-spherical particles have been studied relatively extensively, granular suspensions of non-spherical particles are rarely studied. The rheological behaviour of elongated granular particles is therefore not well known. This thesis deals with suspensions of rod-like particles of aspect ratio 4 subjected to shear flow in a low-density, highly viscous Newtonian fluid. CFD-DEM simulations for a periodic shear box have been performed for a pre-estimated range of shear rates and volume fractions. Dependence of rheological properties like shear stresses, relative viscosity, granular temperature, pressure and normal stress differences on the shear rate and volume fraction have been studied. These granular rods show shear thickening behaviour. The spherocylindrical particle suspensions experience less collisional stresses than spherical particles due to preferred particle alignment in the shear direction. Herschel and Bulkley [1] model is used to fit the collisional stress data. Two different regimes have been identified for granular suspension based on the flow index. Interestingly, a relatively large range of shear rates and associated stress can be expressed in the form of a simple equation based on Broughton and Squires [2] model. This stress closure will further be used in more coarse grid models like MP-PIC which can simulate an industrial fluidized bed reactors of non-spherical particles.Chemical Engineerin

    4.2. Isolation of phytochemical and volatile compounds from F. nilgerrensis leaves At different hours (0, 3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 48 and 72 h) after infected with C. gloeosporioides, leaves were removed and collected from the plants, frozen immediately in liquid nitrogen and then stored at 80 ◦ C for future use. Each cryopreserved sample was homogenized in liquid nitrogen by using pestle and mortar. One gram of the powdered samples was mixed with 2 ml saturated NaCl in a 20 ml-head-space vial, in which an internal standard (10 μl of 8.08 mg /L 2,6-dimethyl-4-heptanone (cat. Nr. W353701 from Sigma–Aldrich, Shanghai, China) was added. Before subjecting the mixtures for SPME extraction, each vial was heated at 60 ◦ C for 10 min. Subsequently, the headspace of the sample vial was exposed to a 65 μm divinylbenzene/carboxen/polydimethylsilioxan fiber (Supelco, Bellefonte, PA, USA) for 20 min at 60 ◦ C to complete the extraction. Relative abundance of the compounds was quantified by peak area determination and normalized to the mass of the internal standard. We pooled samples from three plants for one biological replication and the experiment was performed twice which gave similar results. In total, the current version of the dataset contains 98 videos with ground truth values annotated by a user with an academic background in computer science. A Sufistic experience that must be passed and deliver Sufis at the top of the world of Sufism. with the experience that each Sufi feels so that many bring up various differences between one and another, then it also becomes a phenomenon for the fuqoha\u27. Abu Yazid al-Busthomi and Imam Junaid al-Baghdadi were one of the pioneers of the concept of Fana’. With a distinctly different background, between Sufi philosophy and Sunni. So the author takes the initiative and aims to combine the views between the two by examining a character who is balanced against and a character who has many adherents to this day, in order to get a good understanding and similarities or differences in the concept of Fana’\u27. This research uses library research, by means of qualitative analysis. As well as using primary and secondary sources. The results of this study are the concept of Fana’ must be together with the concept of Baqo’, awareness of a person\u27s individuality has disappeared even though his physical form is still there.     Colletotrichum gloeosporioides subsp. treatment

    4.1. Plant materials, growth conditions, C. gloeosporioides treatment and tissue collection The woodland strawberry accession F. nilgerrensis was used in this study. Runners derived from healthy plants were rooted in pots and incubated in the growth room (16 h light/8 h dark, 22–24 ◦ C day/26 ◦ C night cycle, 125 μmol m- 2 s- 1 light intensity, and 70% humidity) to obtain the healthy and vigorous plants. The selected pathogenic fungus C. gloeosporioides was isolated by the Fruit Research Institute, Fujian Academy of Agriculture and maintained in Shaking Potato Dextrose (SPD) media. Fungi culture was incubated for about two weeks (10–14 days) in optimum temperature 28 ◦ C. To prepare conidiospores, the saturated cultures were passed out through double layer of cheese cloth. Conidial suspension was then transferred to centrifuge tubes (micro; 1.5) for centrifugation at 2500 rpm for 20 min. Supernatant of the centrifuged suspension was removed and discarded. The remaining pellet was further re-suspended and diluted to a final conidia concentration of 10 6 ml 1 with sterile distilled water containing 0.05% Tween-20 before using in plant spray treatment. The plants inoculated with the final conidia suspension of C. gloeosporioides were placed in culture chamber at temperature (26 ◦ C) up to 14 days for possible disease symptoms observation. Since the wild strawberry F. nilgerrensis was resistant to the fungi, no obvious disease symptom could be seen during the experimental time (Figure S1), the fungal challenge was monitored later by transcriptome analysis of fungispecific-transcript detection (Figure S2). * Enrichment analysis of the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) was performed using Kolmogorov–Smirnov test with the topGO R packages, only pvalue < 0.001 are listed. For sampling after the pathogen treatment, leaves from two-monthold runner-propagated healthy plants with unfolded green leaves at uniform size and color were inoculated with C. gloeosporioides conidia suspension (10 6 conidia per ml) in sterile distilled water containing 0.05% Tween-20. Three hours prior to pathogen treatment, the leaves were sprayed first with distilled water containing 0.05% of Tween-20, therefore, the time 0 h was considered as controls. The treated plants were incubated in the growth room at the same condition. All plants were watered daily by nutrition solution (1/4 MS medium). For RNASeq analysis, two biological replicates from treated leaves were sampled at 0 h, 3 h, 6 h, 12 h, 18 h, 24 h, 48 h and 72 h post infection (hpi) and handled. Each replicate consisted of nine tri-foliate leaves; each was collected from one individual plant. For qRT-PCR, three biological replicates were collected from the same time-points. Furthermore, another two biological replicates from fresh leaves at the indicated time points were collected for isolation of the phytochemical and volatile compounds. In total 60 plants were used for the treatments.
