No full textThe article tells about lives of two Petersburg professors: David Grimm, a specialist for Roman Law, and his brother historian Erwin Grimm. Both of them were rectors of the St Petersburg University in a very difficult time between revolutions, being a buffer between students and professors from one side and the Ministry of education from another. On the basis of other scholars’ works (first of all those by O. Belyaeva) the author tries to show that David Grimm could resign to show his protests while his brother Erwin Grimm could not afford even this.В статье рассказано о судьбе двух петербургских профессоров – Давида Гримма, специалиста по римскому праву, и его брата историка Эрвина Гримма. Они оба занимали пост ректора Санкт-Петербургского университета в сложный период 1910–1917 гг., оказавшись между двух лагерей – студенчества и профессоров с одной стороны и Министерства народного просвещения с другой. Вслед за исследователями этого вопроса, прежде всего О. М. Беляевой, автор старается показать, что если Давид Гримм мог уйти в отставку в знак протеста против проводимой Министерством политики, то Эрвин Гримм не имел и этой возможности
A Unicore Globus Interoperability Layer
No full textFor several years, UNICORE and Globus have co-existed as approaches to exploiting what has become known as the "Grid". Both offer many services beneficial for creating and using production Grids. A cooperative approach, providing interoperability between Globus and UNICORE, would result in an advanced set of Grid services that gain strength from each other. This paper outlines some of these parallels and differences as they relate to the development of an interoperability layer between UNICORE and Globus. Given the increasing ubiquity of Globus, what emerges is the desire for a hybridised facility that utilises the UNICORE work-flow management of complex, multi-site tasks, but that can run on either UNICORE- or Globus-enabled resources. The technical challenge in achieving this, addressed in this paper, consists of mapping resource descriptions from both grid environments to an abstract format appropriate to work-flow preparation, and then the instantiation of work-flow tasks on the target systems. Policy Dialogue: The Rodriguez Decision and Its Legacy
No full textThis year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the San Antonio v. Rodriguez case, viewed by some as the worst decision in the US Supreme Court’s modern history. As legal scholar Erwin Chemerinsky observed, the court essentially declared that “discrimination against the poor does not violate the Constitution and that education is not a fundamental right.”1 Five decades later, how does this case from the past continue to exert its influence on the present? And how might the present have looked different if the court had reached a different conclusion? For this policy dialogue, the HEQ editors asked Bruce Baker and David Hinojosa to discuss the Rodriguez decision and its legacy, focusing particularly on how the case has shaped and constrained equity efforts in K-12 education. Bruce Baker is professor and chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Miami. A leading scholar on the financing of public elementary and secondary education systems, he is the author of Educational Inequality and School Finance (Harvard Education Press, 2018) and School Finance and Education Equity (Harvard Education Press, 2021). David Hinojosa is the director of the Educational Opportunities Project at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, where he spearheads the organization’s systemic racial justice work in guaranteeing that historically marginalized students of color receive equal and equitable educational opportunities in public schools and institutions of higher education. He is a leading litigator and advocate in civil rights, specializing in educational impact litigation and policy. HEQ policy dialogues are, by design, intended to promote an informal, free exchange of ideas between scholars. Burnout y calidad de vida en voluntarios de una organización no gubernamental con proyección en salud mental
No full textManifiesta que el 42% del total de las organizaciones no gubernamentales en el Perú desarrollan proyectos en salud mental. Los voluntarios se ven expuestos a situaciones de riesgo y son vulnerables al burnout. No tenemos datos epidemiológicos como línea base en esta población. El burnout se conceptualiza por una baja realización personal y alto desgaste emocional más alta despersonalización. Los objetivos fueron determinar la relación entre burnout y calidad de vida en voluntarios. Validar el Maslach Burnout Inventory en voluntarios. Correlacionar burnout con sexo, estado civil, grupo etario, actividad realizada y tiempo servicio. Conocer el grado bajo, moderado y alto en las diferentes subescalas del burnout y obtener un instrumento de mayor confiabilidad para voluntarios. Se concluyó que ninguno de los encuestados cumplió criterios para burnout, existen relaciones estadísticamente significativas directas e indirectas entre las subescalas del burnout y la calidad de vida, 34% de los encuestados presentaron desgaste emocional a consecuencia de su actividad en grado moderado a alto, la despersonalización es clave en la deserción, la variable motivación es muy importante en la heterogeneidad del voluntario, quedo validado el MBI para voluntarios así como la escala abreviada de burnout para voluntarios que se recomienda para futuros estudios.Trabajo académic
Implementación de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en el RCM para mejorar la disponibilidad de la flota de camiones de la empresa CILSA
No full textEl presente informe fue efectuado en la empresa CILSA cuyo giro de negocio es el transporte, manejo, reciclaje de residuos de aceites automotriz e industrial usados y su respectiva comercialización. Ubicada en Av. Primavera S/N Sector el Gramadal Puente Piedra Lima.
El objetivo general del informe es implementar un plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en el RCM para mejorar la disponibilidad de la flota de camiones. Para lo cual se realizó un plan de trabajo que consistió en reuniones con la alta gerencia en coordinación con el área de mantenimiento y operaciones, seguidamente se procedió a una auditoría interna al proceso de mantenimiento a la flota de camiones luego se realizó la codificación a la flota utilizando la taxonomía seguidamente se analizó la disponibilidad operacional mediante el histórico de mantenimiento de la flota luego se analizó las fallas por cada grupo empleando el diagrama de Pareto, las fallas más relevantes se identificaron a través del AMFE (definición de funciones, fallo funcional, identificación de modo de fallo, efectos y consecuencias) con su
respectivo IPR. Se calculó la vida útil de los componentes críticos mediante el análisis de confiabilidad usando el parámetro de β, el cual determinó el estado operativo de los componentes y con la aplicación de la hoja de decisiones se creó nuevas tareas de mantenimiento para los mismos con los cuales fueron puestos a marcha, el nuevo plan de mantenimiento preventivo basado en RCM.
Finalmente se concluye que la aplicación del mantenimiento centrado en la confiabilidad contribuyo a mejorar la disponibilidad operacional de la flota de camiones en un 3.61% en el año 2021 con respecto al 2020. Adicionalmente el análisis financiero da como resultado un VAN positivo de S/.23,397.29 y un TIR de 37% mayor que el costo de oportunidad el cual hace viable la implementación del mantenimiento propuesto en el presente informe.Campus Lima Centr
The margin and the mainstream : positioning Harry Partch's theories within the broader discourse of musical aesthetics
No full textBibliography: leaves 102-106.The dissertation examines the broader musical value of microtonal composer Harry Partch's musical theories by locating his critique of abstract music within mainstream compositional theory and aesthetics. This contextualisation aims to deconstruct Partch's iconoclastic image so as to understand his contribution within a wider realm of critical discourse. The work of composers that follow in Partch's footsteps becomes important in this context, especially that of his one-time student Ben Johnston whose own microtonal aesthetic is firmly rooted in European aesthetics from Debussy to Schoenberg. By a study of Johnston's utilisation of Partch's theory of just intonation the dissertation attempts to arrive at a more inclusive compositional theory, one which continues to address those aspects of Partch's theories that serve as a valid and constructive critique of traditional musical values. Taking Adorno's view that musical critique must deal with the problem of reification at the level of musical materials, the author proposes a reading of Partch's corporeal philosophy that is applicable beyond the confines of narrative musical drama. By creating a distinction between historical models of organisation and 'second nature' forms of musical presentation, it is suggested that critique does not necessarily prefigure alienation from the mainstream, but can rather be situated within musical discourse in such a way that a new image of the latter's forms results. On a practical level, the dissertation explores the validity of expanded just intonation as a means of achieving this immanent critique, both in the realm of compositional theory and, implicitly, in that of analytical theory, concluding with the description of a tuning system with the capacity to synthesise the range of compositional theories explored

Determinar cuáles son las principales características de la gestión de calidad con el uso
de marketing en las micro empresas del rubro de discotecas y hacer una propuesta de
mejora en el distrito de Querecotillo. La investigación fue cuantitativo, descriptiva – no
experimental, determinándose una muestra de 68 clientes, se aplicó la técnica de encuesta
y como instrumento un cuestionario. Obteniéndose como resultados: el 49% de los
encuestados indica que casi siempre sus sugerencias son tomadas en cuenta, el 56% creen
siempre se aumente el número de personal para mejorar el servicio brindado, el 32%
siempre los servicios higiénicos lucen adecuados para una mayor comodidad, el 62%
siempre los servicios brindados en la discoteca que acude tienen una importante
diferenciación con los otras discotecas, el 100% siempre creen que si se realizan
descuentos a sus clientes más recurrentes aumentaría su fidelización. Se concluyo que
para los clientes son importantes los aspectos de calidad, ya que ayudaría satisfacer sus
necesidades y brindar un mejor servicio, las discotecas deben brindar servicios
adicionales, que su personal este entrenado y capacitado logrando un servicio rápido,
cumpliendo así sus expectativas, para los clientes es necesaria que las discotecas apliquen
la estrategia de diferenciación porque brindando algo diferente al resto de ellas, hace
elegirlas como su preferida, logrando ganar reconocimiento entre las demás, captar más

PENGUATAN KELEMBAGAAN PEMERINTAHAN KAMPUNG ADAT DI KABUPATEN JAYAPURA
No full textKegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) oleh Dosen IPDN Kampus Papua mengangkat Tema “Penguatan Kelembagaan Pemerintahan Kampung Adat di Kabupaten Jayapura”. Kegiatan PKM melibatkan Satuan Praja Muda, Para Pimpinan Perangkat Daerah Kabupaten Jayapura, dan Para Ondoafi serta Tokoh Adat di Kabupaten Jayapura. Metode Pengabdian yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan studi awal dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dilatarbelakangi adanya peran dan kewenangan Ondoafi sebagai kepala kampung Adat yang dinilai oleh beberapa tokoh adat akan merendahkan wibawa seorang Ondoafi sebagai pemimpin adat karena secara struktural akan bertanggungjawab kepada kepala distrik, sedangkan hubungan Ondoafi dan kepala distrik sebatas koordinasi bukan bersifat struktural atau komando. Hasil kegiatan PKM dengan menggunakan pendekatan Yuridis dan Normatif dalam memperkuat Hasil FGD sebagai bahan rekomendasi , sebagai berikut : (1) Jabatan Kepala Kampung Adat sebaiknya diisi oleh perwakilan keret/marga atau yang dikenal dengan “Mata Rumah” yang yang ditunjuk oleh Ondoafi; (2) mewajibkan seluruh masyarakat kampung adat bisa berbahasa daerah (3) Secara kelembagaan Struktur penyelenggara pemerintahan Kampung adat dalam menjaga Check And Balancing dapat direstrukturisasi sebagai berikut: (a) Kepala Kampung Adat (Perwakilan Marga/keret) yang ditunjuk oleh Ondoafi; (b) Dewan Adat (Diketuai oleh Ondoafi); (c) sebaiknya seorang administrator atau sekretaris kampung adat diangkat sebagai PNS sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku; (d) Urusan Adat Bidang terdiri dari:Bidang Kependudukan;Bidang Keamanan dan Ketertiban Masyarakat (Kamtibmas);Bidang Pembangunan;Bidang Ekonomi dan Kesejahteraan masyarakat; Bidang Umum; (4) Perlu disosialisasikan secara berkala dan masif terkait hak-hak yang diperoleh kampung adat; dan (5) Perlu ada peraturan turunan yang lebih teknis dalam bentuk Peraturan Bupati dan Keputusan Bupati tentang Kelembagaan Kampung Adat dan mekanisme pengelolaan Kampung Adat.

The Direction of Papua Development: Is A New Autonomous Region the Answer?
No full textThis study aims to show what kind of problems and challenges occur in the middle of Papua Province development, as well as the extent of complexity of these development problems and the challenges of the New Autonomous Region to answer it. We use the systematic literature review method by showing a collection of literature from the Scopus database that discusses the development of Papua and analyzing the literature collection into several clusters. Bibliometric analysis is used to generate statistical models that show the relationship between each study. 151 literature sources were used in this study and produced three clusters namely development process, environment, and communication. From these aspects, several development efforts have been carried out by the government such as collaboration with the private sector, community capacity building through local value development, and the involvement of indigenous peoples. Moreover, there are several things that need to be considered such as land acquisition issues, the difficulty of access, planning and control functions, political intervention and interests, along with the communication system that has not been integrated. The New Autonomous Region can have a narrow span of control so it will optimize supervision and monitoring functions, but there are several things that need to be considered when implementing it such as planning, existing human resources capacity, and financial aspects. There are some limitations in this paper, where we cannot reach some highland areas to directly observe the challenges that occur there. Future research can develop discussions about Papua development through direct observations in those areas
Selected Works to Demonstrate the Expanded Range and Technical Demand of the Saxophone
No full textThe purpose of this research paper is to present a selection of different compositions for the saxophone by a group of composers from different countries, musical backgrounds, and compositional styles. In addition, the author chose different compositions that reflect a timeline that begins with the early style compositions for the saxophone and progresses to more modern. These five works were performed at a graduate recital on February 26, 2022. This document contains biographical, historical, analytic information, and performance considerations to influence a better performance of any of these five pieces. The compositions discussed in this document are: Sonatine pour Saxophone Alto en Mib et Piano by Claude Pascal, Mirage by Dorothy Chang, Muczynski’s Sonata for Alto Saxophone and Piano, Heitor Villa-Lobos’s Fantasia, and Hot-Sonate by Erwin Schulhoff
