Spatial planning and sustainable development of rural areas
Today, the issue related to spatial planning in rural areas takes on particular significance. In this context a reference to the views of Professor W. Pańko is justified, as they remain perfectly stable. The planning is an instrument promoted by EU which enables permanent and sustainable development of rural areas. The planning is an imminent and integral element of the notion covering the management, as it concerns spatial planning in any economy system. The issue of spatial planning in rural areas should be viewed from the point of view of its functions (synchronisation, coordination and information), where the two last ones takes on particular significance for development of them. The coordination function plays an important role for the policy to support development of rural areas from the Union and national resources; it is expressed in the contents of local master plans and relates to the coordination of actions, as well as the organisation of cooperation among entities operating on the areas in concern and bringing together their interests. The information function, their place and actions in which satisfies openness and transparency of planning procedures gives all entities the awareness of their place and actions in economic space and its value. Construction elements of the prescriptive model of spatial planning ensure logic link between documents which designs spatial management of a commune (strategies of commune development, the spatial development conditions and directions study, local master plans) aim to ensure the spatial order and the sustainable development of communes in rural areas. The process of using the specified mechanisms is a very comprehensive, long-lasting, time consuming and expensive process, therefore there is a huge gap between the prescriptive model and the actual process of spatial development of rural communes. Current prescriptive model of spatial planning gives almost the same attention to the organisation of agricultural space as the legal regulation of 70s of the XX century. This raises the question on the adequacy of the referred model to organise development processes of the current agriculture, as on the one hand the model (the study and the local master plan) seems all perfect, then costly and heavy, and on the other hand a stream of funds for development of rural areas it is intended not only for the agriculture, but also for the whole multi-functional rural area. As the notion of a rural area is not the same as the notion of an agricultural manufacturing space then the concept of multi-functional rural areas should be matched by its expression and reflection in the instruments of spatial planning. However, the provisions of the act on spatial planning and development fail to pay attention to this issue special interest. Maternity terminology in Polish printed textbooks of midwifery and anatomy from second half of the eighteenth century
In the 18th century, many maternity handbooks were created in the Polish Commonwealth, mainly for women. These were not original works, but rather translations or borrowings from Western European tractates. However, their authors had to solve the problem of lacking obstetric terms in the Polish language. Many expressions of the female parts were considered indecent, and the textbooks were considered inappropriate for women. The first author who undertook the task of using maternity terminology was Jakub Kostrzewski. In his works, many expressions were repeated (macica/uterus, płód/fetus, miednica/pelvis) after precursor from 16th century, but some were just forming, such as pochwa/vulva, łechtaczka/ clitoris, jajowody/fallopian tubes. The maternity terminology was floating and occurred different forms in individual authors. Other authors of the textbooks were: Raphael Steidele, Jan Różański, Józef Berger de Lonchamps, Ludwik Perzyna and Jakub Felix de Michelis. This article is based mainly of sources from 18th century.
The digital era is no longer a novelty, and it interferes strongly with cross-border deal making. The recent growth in the amount of raw data available marks records. Due to improvements in both computing power and the quality of the algorithms, as well as related technological advances, we observe a rapidly increasing capacity of data computation use. This thesis researches how these transformations have disrupted the legal practice and the regulatory framework of international corporate transactions. Before shedding light on legal difficulties, the author emphasizes the need for the legal ecosystem to apprehend the functioning, capacities, and limits of data-driven technologies and data-centric companies. Such comprehension is essential in order to take advantage of existing technological developments and assure the legal certainty of cross-border M&A in a rapidly shifting business and technological environment. More precisely, in the First Part (I), it examines how Machine Learning, Legal Analytics, and other unprecedented data-centric techniques can be applied to the legal tasks performed within the M&A transactions. After auditing their potential and current applications, the author detects legal and technological issues, analyses the difficulties, and investigates the possible solutions. In the Second Part (II), the author examines the expanding phenomenon of technology-driven M&A, investigates whether and how it disrupts the existing multidisciplinary legal framework of crossborder M&As and intends to give guidelines for designing a regulatory regime coherent with the present-day requirements

Mentality of the village in Polish painting in the second half of 19th century
The article is an overview of polish genre painting from the second half of the 19th century, which depicts everyday life in the countryside, conditioned by agrarian and liturgical times. This material is for the author the basis for characterizing the ambiguous peasant mentality. On the one hand, it is hard work on the farm, on the other hand, and drunkenness in the inn, and on the other - zealous piety, characterized by putting chapels on the road and rich religious rituals celebrated on the occasion of various holidays and important family events, such as weddings and funerals
Shaping of Competencies of Managers in Academic Incubators of Entrepreneurship in Poland
Background and purpose: Participation of future entrepreneurs in Academic Incubators of Entrepreneurship (AIE) in Poland is one of the innovative paths to shape their managerial competences. The aim of the paper is to analyse and evaluate the activities of the AIEs as an environment inside of which managerial competencies are formed, and formulate recommendations concerning the improvement of AIEs, in terms of the development of managerial skills of future entrepreneurs. Design/methodology/approach: The author relied on research - study surveys and empirical, qualitative, exploratory research, which were supported by figures. The author focused on four important issues: - Motives of researchers and students interested in the support of AIE; - The quality of support offered by the incubator to its participants as well as the frequency of use of this support by future entrepreneurs; - The possibility of extending the support system for AIE participants; - Traits / managerial and entrepreneurial competences desired in people running their own businesses. Results: AIE participants are focused primarily on implementing their business ventures and to a much lesser extent, care about the simultaneous development of their managerial competencies to manage these projects. It is manifested, among other by differentiated assessment of the suitability of certain forms of support from the incubator and the low intensity of use of this support. Despite this, AIE participants perceive the development of desirable traits and strengthening of specific entrepreneurial, management competencies. It is not a very dynamic growth, although it translates into their motivation to start a business after leaving the incubator. Conclusion: It is recommended to place greater emphasis on mobilizing the future entrepreneurs to make use of forms of support for the development of their managerial competences. It is necessary for complex preparation of future entrepreneurs to independently conduct business after leaving the incubato
