The research conducted aims to determine the quality of CPO (Crude Palm Oil) based on chemical parameters. The chemical parameters analyzed in this study were analysis of water content and analysis of free fatty acids (ALB). Analysis of the water content, starting with heating the frozen CPO sample until the sample thaws, then weighing the empty cup that has been pre-heated, then adding 5 grams of CPO sample to the cup, putting it in the oven at 130℃ for 30 minutes, cooling it using a desiccator for 30 minutes, the sample was weighed again to obtain a constant weight. In the analysis of free fatty acid levels, it begins with weighing a homogeneous 7.05 gram CPO sample, then adding 75 ml of neutral alcohol, then heating it until the sample dissolves in alcohol, then adding 2-3 drops of 1% phenolphthalein indicator, then carrying out the analysis. Titrate with 0.25 N NaOH solution which is indicated by a yellowish-orange color change and the results are recorded. From the measurement results, calculations were then carried out on samples A, B, and C, so that the results obtained for the analysis of water content were 0.24%, 0.36%, and 0.49% and free fatty acid levels were 2.40%, 2 .21% 2.12% for sample code C. In accordance with SNI 01-2901-2021 concerning Crude Palm Oil for water content of 0.25-0.50% and free fatty acid content of 3, 0- 5.0 %. From the results of these calculations, the water content of the three sampels they met the quality standards, for the free fatty acid analysis of the three samples, they met the SNI quality standards.42 HalamanKertas Karya Diplom

sulfamic acid and urea as base catalyst. Preparation of waste paper samples was carried out without treatment, delignification results were carried out with the addition of NaOH 2% and NaOCl 1.75%, and isolation was carried out with the addition of HNO3 3.5%, NaOH 2%, Na2SO3 2%, NaOCl 1.75% and H2O2 10%, delignified paper produced cellulose of 19.8698 g (26.49% of the initial weight) while the isolated paper produced cellulose of 12.6462 g (16.86% of the initial weight). Synthesis of cellulose sulfate through sulfation reaction of paper cellulose with sulfamic acid and urea as base catalyst. Cellulose is sulfated by making DES (Deep Eutectic Solvent) by mixing sulfamic acid and urea at 80 ℃, then the DES mixture is reacted with cellulose that has been dissolved in Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvent media and refluxed at 150 ℃ for 2 hours, then washed using 96% ethanol and dried at 30 ℃. Cellulose sulfate which has the highest degree of substitution is obtained from the treatment of isolated samples containing α-cellulose. The formation of cellulose sulfate is supported by FT-IR spectrophotometer with the appearance of vibrational peaks in the wave number region 3388.4 cm-1 which shows the -OH group, C-H stretching group 2892.4 cm-1, S=O group 1215.1 cm-1, C-O-C group 1051.1 cm-1 and C-O-S group 984 cm-1 which are symmetrical stretching and bending vibrations respectively. Surface morphology with SEM shows that the fiber surface on cellulose sulfate is smoother and shorter than cellulose. PSA results showed a decrease in cellulose sulfate fiber diameter.77 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

This study examines the Synthesis of Sulfate Starch from Cassava Starch (Manihot Esculenta) using Sulfuric Acid-Urea in DMSO Solvent. This research was carried out in two stages, namely, the isolation of cassava starch and the sulfation reaction with sulfamic acid in DMSO solvent with a comparison of sulfaic acid:urea molar variation (1:1, 1:2, 1:3). An FT-IR test analysis of the molar variation of sulfuric acid:urea obtained optimal results on the molar variation of sulfuric acid:urea (1:2) which showed a wave number of 1207.6 cm-1 vibration stretching group S=O. The determination of the best condition of the sample treatment can be determined by the value of the degree of substitution resulting from the sulfur content in the sulfate starch. Sulfate starch which has the highest degree of substitution was obtained with a molar ratio of 1:2 with a DS value of 1.02 and a sulfur content value of 12.32%. SEM morphological analysis of the optimum variation of sulfuric acid:urea mole at the variation (1:2), where the morphology of the granules of sulfate starch fibers which were initially fine became amorphous surfaces caused by heating during the sulfation reaction compared to natural starches.63 PagesSkripsi Sarjan

    No full text
Sodium starch sulfate was obtained from cassava starch (Manihot esculenta), which was synthesized through the sulfation reaction using 98% H2SO4 in ethanol solvent. This research was conducted in two stages, namely, isolation of cassava starch and sulfation reaction with sulfuric acid in ethanol solvent at variations of ethanol solvent volume of 10 mL, 15 mL, and 20 mL and neutralization with 40% NaOH. The formation of sodium starch sulfate is supported by the FT-IR spectrophotometer, which shows that in the wave number region 1244.9 cm-1 and 1103.3 cm-1 is stretching vibration of the S=O group. The results of the determination of the highest degree of substitution (DS) of sodium starch sulfate was determined to determine the sulfur content obtained in the variation of the ethanol solvent volume of 20 mL, which amounted to 1.355. The results of SEM morphological analysis showed that the surface of sodium starch sulfate granules was rougher and irregular than natural starch. Electrical conductivity test showed higher current strength in ethanol solvent variation of 20 mL.64 pagesSkripsi Sarjan

The research conducted aims to determine the water content and free fatty acids of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) using the alkalimetry titration method PT. SDS based on chemical parameters. The chemical parameters analyzed in this study are water content analysis and free fatty acid (ALB) analysis. Water content analysis, starting with inserting the sample pan into the moisture analyzer, then adding a CPO sample of 5 grams into the sample pan, waiting until the device sounds indicating a constant water content. The analysis of free fatty acid levels begins with weighing empty Erlenmeyer then at 0 kan, weighing CPO as much as 3 grams, then adding 50mL alcohol, then adding 2-3 drops of 1% phenolphthalein indicator, then titrated with 0.0898N. KOH solution which is characterized by an orange color change and recorded the results. From the measurement results, calculations were then carried out on samples A, B, and C so that the results for moisture content analysis were obtained which were 0.28% for sample A, 0.26% for sample B, and 0.27% for sample C. Free fatty acid levels were 3.82% for sample A, 4.88% for sample B, and 3.86% for sample C. By SNI 01-2901-2021 concerning Crude Palm Oil for water content of 0.25-0.50% and free fatty acid content, namely 3,0-5,0 %. The sulfation reaction between myristyl alcohol and SO3-DMF complex has been successfully done. Formation of the SO3-DMF complex by reacting DMF with SO3 gas as a result of the reaction of phosphorus pentoxide and H2SO4. Then the sulfation results were neutralized with the variation of NaOH solution, which is 35%, 40%, 45%, and resulting in yields of 25,88%, 37,75%, and 46,72%, respectively. Then the results were analyzed by testing the surface tension using a du nouy ring tensiometer and testing the stability of the foam using a vortex mixer. The result show that the surface tension values were 32.5 dyne/cm, 24 dyne/cm, and 29 dyne/cm, respectively and the foam stability test were 0.5 cm, 0.3 cm and 0.5 cm respectively. The best results was neutralized with 40% NaOH solution, which was able to reduce the surface tension value and had a foam stability up to 66% with a decrease in foam height 0.3 cm.59 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
