No full textinevitabilmente e spesso inconsapevolmente, i cartoon sono educativi; a prescindere dalla connotazione delle proposte: anche un pessimo cartone animato, infatti, propone un modello educativo nel quale i piccoli spettatori e le piccole spettatrici possono rispecchiarsi, se assomiglia a quello sperimentato in ambito famigliare, o immedesimarsi conoscendo situazioni altre, nel caso se ne discosti. Si tratta di prospettive significativamente diverse. Le serie animate Peppa Pig e Masha e Orso rappresentano in maniera esemplare le due tipologie – quella confermativa e quella “divergente” – rispetto al modello educativo in uso nella generalità delle famiglie italiane. La scelta di prendere in considerazione queste serie tv è dettata dalla notorietà di entrambe: anche chi non ha a che fare con l’infanzia conosce Peppa Pig e Masha attraverso le pubblicità, i gadget, gli accessori che ne garantiscono la permanenza nell’immaginario

media propongono; in particolare i bambini leggono sé stessi, amplificano le proprie esperienze e si aprono
al possibile, attraverso le storie che i media propongono. Nella contemporaneità, mentre serie televisive
come Peppa Pig, Teletubbies, Dora the Explorer or Bo on the Go! si limitano a confermare le aspettative adulte e a
rinchiudere l’infanzia entro modelli/gabbia dai quali è difficile uscire, Masha and the Bear rompe gli schemi e
mette in crisi i sistemi educativi tradizionali. Come le teorie dell’outdoor education e le sperimentazioni
didattiche legate ad essa, anche Masha and the Bear, infatti, partecipa attivamente al tentativo di rinnovamento
educativo al quale stiamo assistendo; e lo fa a partire da un contesto privilegiato: l’immaginario narrativo
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
No full textThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

No full textWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

No full textIl contributo è incentrato sul confronto tra due passi del “Tristan” di Gottfried von Strassburg e del “Sir Tristrem”, notoriamente ispirate all’opera di Thomas di Bretagna: il rapimento di Tristano quattordicenne da parte dei mercanti norvegesi e il viaggio tra l’Irlanda e la Cornovaglia durante il quale i due protagonisti bevono il filtro d’amore. L'analisi ha riguardato sul diverso trattamento che questi due momenti della vicenda della leggenda ricevono nell'opera medio alto-tedesca e in quella medio inglese: in quest'ultima, infatti, la descrizione dello stato d'animo dei personaggi è piuttosto superficiale rispetto al modo in cui viene offerta nel testo tedesco. Gottfried, invece, descrive in modo dettagliato i turbamenti dei protagonisti dopo l’assunzione del filtro, la stessa lunghezza del passo indica chiaramente quanto il poeta si concentri sul loro stato d’animo. Per contro, il poeta del Sir Tristrem non fa alcun accenno alle sensazioni e ai dubbi dei personaggi, ma predilige l’aspetto prettamente materiale. Si è ipotizzato che il diverso modo di rielaborare le vicende narrate dalla fonte antico francese sia dovuto ai differenti periodi di composizione delle opere, quella tedesca a inizio del XIII secolo, quella medio inglese nell’ultimo quarto dello stesso secolo
Deuterium burning measurement at LUNA and its astrophysical and nuclear implications
No full textThe D(p,γ) 3He reaction is responsible for the deuterium destruction during the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) and affects the primordial deuterium abundance. This latter is sensitive to fundamental cosmological parameters such as
the baryon density and the effective number of relativistic species. In this paper, we describe the most precise direct measurement of the D(p,γ) 3He reaction in the BBN energy range (Ecm = 30–280 keV) at the LUNA (Laboratory for Underground Nuclear Astrophysics) facility in Gran Sasso National Laboratories. Experimental results, cosmological consequences, and future prospects are reported here
