Opinnäytetyömme on toteutettu projektina.
Tulevaisuudessa opastamme on mahdollisuus päivittää voimassa olevien hoitosuositusten mukaisesti.

Insolvency proceedings from a sustainability perspective
Sustainability is a wide concept including environmental, economic, social/culture, and political dimensions. Currently, sustainability research is a rich scientific discipline producing a significant number of research papers. However, sustainability in the context of insolvency proceedings has attracted little research compared with, for example, how much attention corporate social responsibility has received in company law research. This article studies sustainability in the context of liquidation and restructuring proceedings and the preservation of different kinds of resources (natural, manufactured, human, and social capital) in insolvency procedures. The purpose of insolvency proceedings may prevent the full implementation of sustainability. In bankruptcy, the administrator must maximise the selling price for creditor satisfaction, and there are few possibilities to promote sustainability. When facing an acute environmental hazard, in the name of public interest, a bankruptcy estate with assets usually has to act unless the law stipulates that society is responsible for taking care of the problem. In restructuring proceedings, the main purpose is to continue the debtor's business. It depends on the markets how sustainable the debtor company must be to achieve profitability. If becoming a profitable company in a “green” or otherwise sustainable market requires costly efforts, creditors' interests may require the sale of the assets. The author views through sustainability lenses EU Restructuring and insolvency Directive (2019) and finds there is not much of a sustainability approach included.Peer reviewe
”O Jumalan Karitza”: 1800-luvun pietistisestä arkkivirrestä
”O Jumalan Karitza”: On the Nineteenth Century Pietistic Broadside Hymn
This article deals with a pietistic broadsheet hymn called “O Jumalan Karitza”, published in 1834. The published version of the hymn names no author, as was typical of broadside songs at the time, and also makes no reference to a melody to use for singing along. According to Matthias Akiander’s Historiska Upplysningar om Religiösa rörelserna i Finland i äldre och senare tider (1857–1863), the author might be Margareta Högman (1786–1849). In the beginning of the nineteenth century, Högman was the leader of Ystäväliike, the Friend Movement, a revivalist Christian movement in Finland that pursued spirituality and piety, and promoted pastoral care and other cultural and social activities, especially near the town of Mikkeli.
Old hymns printed as broadsheets suggest to us a multi-disciplinary field of research. They often reflect commonsensical interpretations of faith, the meaning of hymns and their singing. My aim is to verify the authorship of this influential hymn, but also to investigate the larger pietistic context that is displayed in its poetics: how the concept of Christian faith, traditional Christian beliefs and the understanding of faith in the Friend Movement all play a part in the lyrics of the hymn and in what we know about its performance. The anomalous structure of the hymn, its faith content and liturgical references, as well as professor Akiander’s description of praying in the Friend Movement, imply that the performance of the hymn may have taken varied forms between singing, recitation and speech

"Just Hope": kokemuksia sävellysprosessista
”Trio Just Hope viululle, klarinetille ja pianolle” on kirjoittajan ensimmäinen pitempi sävellys. In this thesis the process of music composition is described from the author`s point of view by reflecting on musical materials and traces of compositional activities in spring 2020. The whole process was strongly influenced by the author`s drawings outside of the musical domain that formed the overall structure and some short sections of the piece. Mental images of the music were drawn at the start of the composition process. They had a significant impact on concretizing musical ideas even if during generating and evaluating basic musical materials they slightly changed metaphorically. Despite a growing number of studies on the composing process there are still many questions of how the composers “get there” in other words which are the prototypical ways in which musical compositions come to fruition. In this thesis the prototypical process within the music composition domain that describe the author`s own processes of music-making are identified. The scores, including draft material and notations, at different stages of the writing process together with the composition diary had important roles in charting progress over time.
“The Trio Just Hope for violin, clarinet and piano” is the first longer piece made by the author. It was inspirational to synthesize non-connected short melodies together as a whole new composition. Through persistent work the goal was achieved partly thanks to the professional guidance received at the same time. As a music teacher in the field of basic music education music-making is encountered regularly due to the new curriculums introduced in 2017. Widening the concept of musical composition is crucial as far as the guidelines of pedagogical practices are concerned. Personal experiences in compositional activities gave a feeling of competence and courage to go beyond one`s own limits. As the result of the study, musical composition models for beginners and ad-vanced students at basic music education levels were created.Liitteenä partituuri
Views from the Village: Photonovella with Women in Rural China
In this article the authors provide an overview of the situation of women in rural China as a backdrop for the photonovella process and inquiry activities conducted by the first author in three rural sites in China. They describe the key themes identified through analysis of the narrative accounts and photographs presented by groups of rural women. The photonovella enabled rural women to select from their pictures several photos of significance to them to show and describe these to women from other villages and to the researcher. Concerns, interests, hardships, and achievements of the women related to their work, families, and communities were voiced as they showed their photos. This method, used in conjunction with other qualitative methods—including focus group interviews, village visits, and survey data—provided information that complemented and enriched our understanding of rural women's lives in China
AJANKULKUA : Taidetekstiili Limingan kansanopiston taidekoululle
Tilaaja antoi lainaan useita dokumentteja paikan historiasta.
Lopullinen työ sijoitettiin Limingan kansanopisto taidekoulun toimiston seinälle syyskuussa 2015.The purpose of this thesis was to design and produce an art textile for a public space in Liminka School of Art using different kinds of textile design methods and also to represent the history of the art school, its present and future. The art school’s unique location and history as well as the author’s own experiences of the school in question affected the subject choosing.
Work began by researching art school’s own library and photographing some of the the traditional artefacts in the school’s storehouse. The customer also lent several documents of the history of the place. The author then chose the most suitable topics and materials for the pictures and designs which were then futher developed for example printed images.
There were several methods and steps in orientation, sketching and designing of the art textile, for example experiments with computer-assisted and traditional looms. In addition some of the yarns the author self-made from sheep and alpaca wool.
The final work was attached on the wall in Liminka School of Arts in September 2015.Valmistunut työ on ripustettu Limingan Kansanopisto Taidekoulun toimiston seinälle
Lapland in Transformation:Impacts on the Cultural Well-Being of the Older Population, with Special Reference to Indigenous Residents
Protecting and promoting culture in Lapland are important for sustaining the cultural well-being of the region’s older people. This population includes many Sámi, members of an Indigenous people living throughout northern Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Russia. The people have a distinctive culture and traditional way of life that have sprung from their natural surroundings and together form a unique cultural identity. Today, Lapland is in the midst of a sweeping transformation, sparked by climate change, increased mining activities, changes in sources of livelihood, the advance of digitalization, and shifts in demography. This chapter analyzes the impact of these developments on the cultural well-being of older people in the region, with a special focus on older Sámi. The study draws on interviews conducted by the author in Finnish and Swedish Lapland in 2011 and 2017. Complementing these observations are publications and media reports on Indigenous issues, as well as references to acts, conventions, policies, laws, and regulations related to the protection of Sámi culture. The challenges to traditional life in the region posed by the ongoing transformation threaten the culture and cultural identity of the individuals who call it home. The physical and mental well-being of older persons in Lapland is highly dependent on their culture and surroundings, the sustainability of which relies on the recently elaborated concept of the age-friendly environment. The results of this study will promote the well-being of aging Indigenous and other older people in Lapland
