Chemistry education student response toward general biology course: A descriptive study
Chemistry and biology are interrelated branches of science, but students majoring in Chemistry Education are often considered as less ability to understand several biological concepts. The aim of this study was to obtain the information about the response of Chemistry Education students on General Biology course. The research was a descriptive study conducted in August to December 2017 in which the subjects were twenty-four first-semester students of Chemistry Education who take General Biology course at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Sciences, State Islamic Institute Batusangkar, West Sumatera. The instrument used was the questionnaire of student responses on General Biology course. The analysis used was descriptive statistical analysis by using percentage. The best response of students on General Biology course is on assessment transparency aspect, while the lowest response is on lecture attractiveness aspect. The conclusion, the response of Chemistry Education student who has taken General Biology course in State Islamic Institute Batusangkar on the criteria good. Although from Chemistry Education Program, most students give positive responses to General Biology course. Information obtained from this study can be used as a basis for improving the quality of General Biology course, especially in Chemistry Education Program
IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM 2013 DAN PROBLEMATIKANYA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI TINGKAT SMA/SEDERAJAT DI KECAMATAN RAMBAH
This study aims to determine the implementation of Curriculum 2013 and the problems faced by high school teachers of biology / equivalent Rambah. This research has been conducted from April to May 2017. The method used is descriptive by using questionnaire. The results of this study obtained the analysis of questionnaire data with an average percentage of 69,33% with good criteria. The obstacles faced by biology teachers in Rambah in the process of learning in the implementation of Curriculum 2013 are the ability of science and technology of teachers have not all been fulfilled, learning media for the Curriculum 2013 inadequate schools such as the number of slightly not proportional to the number of classes, Complete the material so it is necessary to find additional supporting books and teachers are still using the lecture method (active teacher) rather than giving the opportunity to the students

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of service learning (SL)- based LKPD on environmental pollution material for class VII SMP IT Qurrata A'yun Sungayang that is valid and practical. The type of research applied through this activity is research and development using a 4-D model consisting of define, design, develop and disseminate stages. However, what is developed is only up to the develop stage. The results obtained are service learning-based LKPD (SL) has validity with an average result of 90.12% with a very valid category, and the average practicality of teachers obtained is 93.34% with a very practical category and an average practicality The number of students obtained is 83.72% with a very practical category, so that service learning-based worksheets can already be used
Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Discovery Learning Bernuansa Potensi Lokal Pada Materi Plantae Di Kelas X MAN 2 Agam
This research is motivated by the limited learning resources used by students and the lack of teacher ability in developing teaching materials in the form of modules and other teaching materials. In addition, the learning process is still dominantly teacher centered and the learning model used is still conventional. The purpose of this study was to produce teaching materials in the form of Discovery Learning Based Modules with Local Potential Nuances in Plantae Materials in Class X MAN 2 Religion that are valid and practical. This type of research is development research (R&D) using the 4 D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but in this research it only reaches the develop stage. The instruments used are validation sheets and practicality questionnaires. The results of the study show that the developed teaching materials fulfill all aspects of a development research and are in accordance with the characteristics of a teaching material. The developed teaching materials have a validity percentage of 90.86% in the very valid category and the teacher's practicality percentage is 96.15% in the very practical category and the students' practicality percentage is 90.15% in the very practical category. Teaching materials developed based on the Discovery Learning approach with local potential nuances can be used in biology learning in class X MAN level plantae materials
Efektifitas Modul Biologi Terintegrasi Kearifan Lokal Minangkabau Berbantuan Model Problem Based Learning (PBL)
This research is motivated by teachers who have not designed teaching modules independently, then the students' lack of knowledge about Minangkabau local wisdom and then teachers also have not used the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. learning model which causes the students' learning process to be less capable in solving problems. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using an integrated biology module with Minangkabau local wisdom in the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student learning outcomes in class X ecosystem material at SMAN 1 Lintau Buo Utara. This type of quantitative research, with a true experimental research design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was 354 consisting of 10 classes. The sampling technique used was random sampling technique. The research instrument created was a question that was validated by 3 validators consisting of 2 lecturers and 1 biology subject educator at SMAN 1 Lintau Buo Utara. The research results showed that learning outcomes increased in treatment group 1. There was an increase in N-Gain learning scores by 29.54%. The hypothesis was tested using the t-test with the help of the SPSS 25 program. Based on the t-test carried out with the help of the SPSS 25 program, Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.050, namely 0.000 on student learning outcomes, so the research hypothesis is accepted. So it can be concluded that the use of an integrated biology module with Minangkabau local wisdom using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on Ecosystem material is effective in improving student learning outcomes
Pengembangan Modul IPA Terintegrasi Al-QurÔÇÖan Berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) Dengan Strategi Scaffolding di MTsS Koto Tinggi-Pandai Sikek
One of the this researcg is the lack of learning resources used, so the purpose of this research is to find out the result oh the validation and practical results oh the PBL based Al-Quran Integrated Science module og the Scaffolding strategy. The type og research conducted is research develompen or Reasearch and Development with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, dan Desseminate). The instruments used are validation sheets, student and educator practical sheets. The results obtained are for the validadot by 3 validators of the IPA module, they got a score of 92% (very valid). The results of the practivality of students are 81% (very practical) and 87% of teacher (very practical). It can be concluded that the developed science module is very valid and practical to use in science learning, especially the human digestive system material.┬
Pengembangan Modul Biologi Berbasis Learning Cycle 7E Materi Sistem Ekskresi
This research was motivated by the lack of student activity in the learning process. Much of the biology material that is memorized makes it difficult for students to understand the lesson and there is a lack of teaching materials used by teachers. Therefore, the learning process is very dependent on the teacher's explanation and students only receive material from the teacher. The aim of this research is to develop teaching materials in the form of modules based on the 7E learning cycle that are valid and practical for teaching materials that can support the learning of excretory system material for class XI students at MAN 50 Kota. This type of research is 4D model development research which consists of the definition, design, development and socialization stages. This research has just reached the development stage. The validation process was carried out on biology lecturers, biologists and biology teachers with validation instruments and practicum adequacy instruments used at the testing stage. The validity results obtained a score of 93% in the very valid category, teacher practicality was 90% in the very practical category, and the student practicality level was 90% in the very practical category. Thus, a 7E learning cyclebased module can be used

Pengembangan Modul Berbasis Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (SQ4R) Pada Pembelajaran IPA
This research is motivated by the fact found in the field that the low optimization of the use of teaching materials used by students, which causes the low mastery of science learning materials at MTsN 1 Tanah Datar. The teaching materials used are in the form of textbooks as a guide for teachers in the learning process. The weakness of the material described is incomplete, the images presented are not clear, have unattractive colors and are less creative in learning and students are less affective in learning. In the end, students cannot develop skills independently, which will affect student learning outcomes. To address this problem, the purpose of this research is to produce teaching materials in the form of Modules Based on Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (SQ4R) on valid and practical science learning. The type of research applied through this activity is Research And Development using a 4-D model consisting of the Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate stages. The results showed that the module based on Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (SQ4R) was obtained, namely, the resulting module was very valid with a validity value of 85.3% and an average practicality with 90% results based on teacher questionnaire responses and 90% based on student questionnaire responses in the very practical category, so that the Survey, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review (SQ4R) based module can be used
