    No full text

Neizrecivo veliko i male priče. Očuđeni mit u suvremenom hrvatskom romanu

    No full text

The glimpses it gives of that life and thought are remarkably, perhaps uniquely, intimate. It begins where his autobiographical Al-Munqidh min ad-Dalâl[The Rescuer from theSins] leaves off. Its esotericism excited the curiosity and even the suspicion of Muslim thinkers from the first, and we have deeply interesting allusions to it in Ibn Tufail and Ibn Rushd, the celebrated philosophers of Western Islam, who flourished within the century after al-Ghazzali`sdeath in 1111 (A.H. 505) - a fact which, again, increases its importance and interest for us."Donated by Aram Calikjan, a dentist from Belgrade, January 1951.Rukopis je, januar 1951. godine, poklonio Aram Calikjan, zubar iz Beograda

Masteroppgave i klassisk musikk- Universitetet i Agder 2009The interpretation of the fifth cello suite BWV 1011 by Johan Sebastian Bach (1685- 1750) deals with the interpretation of a baroque suite for solo cello on modern instrument and in the modern age. It is a master thesis from the Agder University, Faculty of fine arts, the classical department, written in English language by Nemanja Markovic. Keywords are: Baroque style, interpretation, the modern cello. Trough these studies on interpretation seen from my point of view and made through current literature, recent research within the early music field and my own experience of performing the suite, I have tried to explore how much and even in what manner we have distanced from the original meaning (if there is a certain original meaning) of these suites. The first section is an introduction with my aim for writing the thesis and displaying the methods I will use. The second section is an overview of the Baroque style and Baroque suite form. The third section is an analysis of the fifth cello suite BWV1011 by Bach. The fourth section is about the interpretation and approaches to the material. It consists of a difference between baroque and modern instrument and the bow, a comparison of the recordings and I will express my point of view regarding the interpretation. The fifth section consists of note examples that I am using in my thesis. The sixth section shows the literature I have applied in my thesis

Masteroppgave i utøvende musikk, klassisk- Universitet i Agder 2011Challenges in performing Puccini`s Madame Butterfly” is a master thesis that will examine this opera through the vocal and performance aspects. This master thesis is written by Jelena Markovic, student of Agder University Conservatory of Music, Kristiansand, Norway, and consists of 44 pages. It is divided in seven sections. The first section will introduce her methods and aims. The second section is the research process and sources used to compile the research. The third section details about Giacomo Puccini`s life and the period during which he wrote his opera “Madame Butterfly”, using information from books written by Mosco Carner and Stanley Sadie. It provides a short synopsis of “Madame Butterfly” based on the book written by Mosco Carner. The fourth section explores the central issue of this master thesis, seen from my own experience and also gives a short analysis of the notational text of “Madame Butterfly”. I have tried to present some of the vocal and technical problems connected with singing the Madame Butterfly role. For the technical issues of the role, I used two books; one written by Biserka and Dusan Cvejic and second written by Lilli Lehman. The fifth section presents my conclusion

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    No full text
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Abstract The implementation of specialized follow-up treatment of functional disorders and associated pain of the arm and hand is a challenge. As part of a collaborative project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), an innovative and noninvasive visualization technology was developed that is independent of the location and infrastructure. The virtual reality (VR) system NeuroXR integrates highly specialized and established treatment approaches, such as guided movement exercises, motor imagery and mirror therapy for successful seamless and highly specific sensorimotor rehabilitation. This VR treatment addresses not only amputations and nerve injuries but also other traumatic and neurological functional and sensory disorders of the upper extremities, along with associated pain phenomena. This article explores the fundamental principles of the system, its therapeutic applications and the potential of this innovative technology to improve current sensorimotor rehabilitation practices and improve the quality of life for affected individuals.
