No full textObesity, osteoporosis, and sarcopenia are serious and growing health problems associated with various health risks, such as diabetes, arterial hypertension, pathological fractures, and progressive loss of muscle mass and function. These conditions are associated with a high risk of morbidity, prolonged immobility, mortality, and socioeconomic burden. This illustrates the basis for our thesis research. The thesis aims to assess the indicators of abdominal adipose tissue, bone density, and sarcopenia through low-dose abdominal CT. We analyse the correlation between them in patients with colorectal carcinoma, lung carcinoma, and chronic pancreatitis. A total of 96 patients who underwent abdominal CT at the Department of Imaging Diagnostics at St. Marina University Hospital – Varna were studied. They were scanned using Siemens Spirit, Somatom Definition, and Somatom Force CT systems. The first three groups of patients were studied retrospectively, while the last control group was studied prospectively. Additional processing was performed in the segmentation program Slicer 3D version 4.11 for volumetric measurements and in RadiAnt for planimetric measurements. During the scanning, a specially designed phantom was placed under the lumbar region of the patient. It contained four test tubes with liquids of various known contents, which served for image calibration and ensured accurate bone density measurements.Затлъстяването, остеопорозата и саркопенията са сериозен, нарастващ здравословен проблем, свързани с редица рискове за здравето като захарен диабет, артериална хипертония, патологични фрактури и прогресивна загуба на мускулна маса и функция, които са свързани с висок риск от: заболяемост, продължително обездвижване, смъртност и социална икономическа тежест. Това аргументира създаването на този дисертационен труд. Целта на настоящият дисертационен труд е да се направи оценка на показателите за абдоминалната мастна тъкан, костната, плътност и саркопения посредством нискодозова КТ на абдомен и да се анализира връзката между тях при пациенти с колоректален карцином, белодробен карцином и пациенти с хроничен панкреатит. Изследвани са 96 пациенти, посредством КТ на абдомен, които са преминали през Клиниката по образна диагностика към УМБАЛ „Св. Марина“. Те са сканирани с компютърни томографски системи Siemens Spirit, Somatom Definition и Somatom Force. Първите три групи пациенти са проучени ретроспективно, а последната контролна група проспективно. Извършена е допълнителна обработка в сегментационна програма Slicer 3D версия 4.11 за волуметрични измервания и в RadiAnt за планиметрични измервания. По време на сканирането под лумбалния отдел на пациента е поставен специално разработен фантом. Той съдържа четири епруветки с течност с различно известно съдържимо, който служи за калибрация на изображенията и осигуряване на точни измервания на костната плътност

Therefore the taxonomical dominant, consolidating case values, subordinated to it in a varying degree, is made out. In this process the tendency to redistribution of the values, belonging to the same traditional case subcategory, in the direction to other spatial and case dominant, is quite logically planned

Get PDFTesis inédita de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Facultad de Ciencias de la Información, Departamento de Periodismo III, leída el 02-02-2016En este trabajo doctoral se ha empleado una metodología de corte semiótico y estructuralista que ha demostrado cómo influyeron el poder gubernamental y cómo se articularon las operaciones político-partidistas en la configuración informativa del telediario La Noticia del canal público de Venezuela, Venezolana de Televisión (VTV). El autor ha seleccionado una muestra representativa de las emisiones estelares que van del 14 al 24 de septiembre de 2012, estas fechas se corresponden con las dos penúltimas semanas de la campaña electoral para los comicios presidenciales que se llevaron a cabo el 7 de octubre de ese mismo año. La primera fase de este procedimiento consistió en la grabación vía streaming de las emisiones estelares a través del programa informático Jaksta Streaming Media Recorder. Esto ha permitido superar el primer obstáculo en el plan de la investigación, como fue el de lograr un registro en soporte electrónico que permitiese recurrir a los archivos de vídeo tantas veces como fuese necesario. La segunda fase, consistió en el visionado para la transcripción de los guiones técnicos subyacentes en el flujo de los textos verbovisuales en la pantalla. Hemos delimitado esta parte de la labor a los telediarios de Venezolana de Televisión de los días 15 y 16 de septiembre, y a una muestra de los formatos de “avance”, “extra” y “pase en vivo” que se utilizaron el primero de octubre de 2012, justo el último día de la campaña electoral. Hemos realizado un análisis previo con la ayuda del programa Nvivo, es una herramienta diseñada para el estudio de datos cualitativos que facilitan la codificación y observación de documentos de trabajo. También combina una doble dimensión integrando la perspectiva narrativa (más cualitativa) y analítica (más cuantitativa). Se han extraído las nubes de palabras, los mapas ramificados y los árboles de palabras para detectar los conceptos más frecuentes en los materiales seleccionados. En primer lugar, hemos realizado una búsqueda sobre los distintos contextos en los telediarios de Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) en los que aparecen los nombres de los dos principales candidatos a la Presidencia de Venezuela, empezando por Henrique Capriles Radonski...The methodology used on this doctoral work has a semiotic and structuralist feature that has shown how government power influences and how the political-partisan’s operations have worked on the setting of La Noticia, Public Newscast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV). The author has selected a representative sample of evening news ranging from September 14th to September 24th, dates which belong to the electoral campaign for the presidential elections held on October 7th of that year. The first phase of this methodology consists on evening's newscast streaming video recording using Jaksta Streaming Media Recorder. Therefore, the first hurdle in the research plan had been overcome, achieving an electronic record that would allow using video files as many times as necessary. The second phase consisted in the viewing of the technical transcriptions and its relation between what had been shown on the newscast. This part of the research has been defined in Venezuela’s Public Newscast between September 15th and September 16th, using an example format describe as “News flash”, “Extra” and “Live” that were used on October 1st, 2012, at just one day before the electoral campaign finish. A previous analysis made with the help of the Nvivo software, a design tool to study qualitative data that facilitates encoding and reading working files. Moreover, it combines two different dimensions integrating the narrative perspective (more qualitative) and the analytical (more quantitative). Word clouds, branched maps and word trees have been extracted to detect frequent concepts within selected materials. THE ROLE OF PHRASEOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS IN GROTOSHEGENESIS (ON THE MATERIAL OF CREATIVITY VITOLD GOMBROVICH)
No full textThe purpose of the present study is to have phraseology studied as the axial centre, around which the grotesque expression consolidates and builds. Within its scope, the phraseological turns are polyfunctional – apart from being a semantic core, they play the role of a grotesque catalyzer, of a limus for inventiveness and creativity of the productor, of a deictic marker, focusing, guiding and facilitating reception and the role of an expressive miniature, which in itself may be a significant representation, a verbal and visual ‘abstract’ of the grotesque panel. The distinct impressiveness of phraseologisms raises the communicative tone in the grotesque zone and unceasingly kindles the dialogue between Author and Reader. The phraseological field is subject to a sustained, active and intense interest on the part of the specialists but it has not been studied so far as the appropriate soil for comedogenic (and in particular grotesque triggering) operations.
Social Capital in Central and Eastern Europe. A Critical Assessment and Literature Review
Get PDFEver since the 1990s, social capital has attracted attention from social science researchers. With its focus on the importance of intangible resources such as trust, social capital appeared to supplement existing theories of social and economic change. For its early proponents such as Bourdieu, Coleman and more famously, Putnam, social capital could be understood as a critical component in social reproduction, educational achievement and administrative efficiency. Social capital seems especially relevant in Central and Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union. Not only does it direct attention to informal networks as ways of getting things done, it also explores how strong ties of personal trust co-exist with low levels of general trust and how this can affect economic and political reform. In terms of its actual policy implications, the conclusions of social capital research have not always been clear and it may be fair to say that expectations have been scaled down since the World Bank declared that social capital to be the missing link. This study offers a critical review of over seventy studies that have applied social capital to developments in Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. The author draws from a variety of social science disciplines as well as including several reports from international organisations. The review investigates five principal fields in which social capital has been used to date and to provides a series of suggestions as to how such research can help encourage institutional and policy innovation.

Based on a multidisciplinary approach, the author (Associate Professor in Polish language and culture at Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv), reveals the dynamic nature of the axiological meaning of proverbs.
