No full textEste artículo presenta la trayectoria histórica de la implementación de la educación especial en el territorio federal de Roraima desde su génesis a mediados de la década de 1970 hasta 1990. Sobre la base de los supuestos del materialismo histórico y dialéctico, como eje central adopta la perspectiva desarrollada por E. P. Thompson un análisis histórico que hacen referencia a la experiencia del sujeto, una “historia desde abajo”. Se basa en entrevistas con los profesores y los técnicos involucrados en el campo y en el análisis de los documentos que se producen en la vida cotidiana de las instituciones. Evidencia de que Roraima, asumido como área de seguridad nacional, bajo la tutela de las fuerzas armadas, sin acciones ejecutadas anteriormente, fue el alcance de las políticas y prioridades de las propuestas de reforma de la educación diseñadas por el régimen militar en el ámbito nacional, el mantenimiento de todos los servicios bajo la financiación y la gestión del poder público
Educação especial em Roraima: impacto dos processos migratórios na constituição da área
No full textNeste artigo apresentamos nossa compreensão de como os processos migratórios ocorridos no Território Federal de Roraima entre as décadas de 1970 e 1990 impactaram na constituição dos serviços especializados em educação especial daquele território. Este, é parte de pesquisa que teve como objetivo geral compreender os processos históricos de constituição da educação especial em Roraima oferecidos, em sua totalidade, como parte das atividades desenvolvidas pelo órgão gestor da educação. O processo de pesquisa foi desenvolvido na perspectiva de E. P. Thompson de uma “história vista de baixo”; teve como participantes professores e técnicos atuantes naqueles serviços à época de sua implantação, com os quais foram realizadas entrevistas e mapeados documentos do cotidiano laboral. Foi possível constatar que a chegada de profissionais especializados em áreas como a fonoaudiologia, fisioterapia, educação física e psicologia, oriundos de estados do sul e do nordeste do Brasil, impactaram diretamente nos processos de estruturação dos serviços sendo, inclusive, em alguns casos, esses processos migratórios induzidos pelos próprios gestores, no intuito de captar profissionais especializados aptos a atender demandas da área. Os resultados possibilitam ainda, refletir sobre como a entrada de profissionais migrantes de outras regiões, em que a educação especial se constituía como atividade terapêutica e assistencial, altera os processos de trabalho realizados, levando práticas que em seu nascedouro priorizavam a escolarização dos estudantes com deficiência, sejam transformadas em práticas com foco clínico e terapêutico, acompanhando a tendência das instituições filantrópicas atuantes nos demais estados brasileiros.</jats:p
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Trata-se de uma análise documental em que apresentamos registros oficiais de criação de unidades escolares e sistematizamos dados de pesquisas anteriores. Na análise dos processos de constituição histórica da educação escolar em Roraima, identificamos que sua estruturação acompanha as políticas estabelecidas para a região, interligada às políticas expansionistas e de ocupação.Education in Roraima: school institutionalization from 1943 to 2001. This text presents aspects of the historical trajectory of school institutionalization that occurred in Roraima in the period of 1943, when the Federal Territory was implemented until 2001, when the first decade of the State of Roraima was consolidated. It is a documentary analysis in which we present official records of the creation of school units and systematize data from previous researches. In the analysis of the processes of historical constitution of school education in Roraima, we identified that its structuring accompanies the policies established for the region, linked to expansionist and occupation policies.
