Risolvere le operazioni e i problemi. Classi 4-5
Collects activities that help the child to acquire the skills that are instrumental for learning arithmetic, but at the same time make it to work on the process that must be employed to do so by providing him with a method that can be used during the last two years of primary schoo

This paper presents the edition of a document of 1409 listing thirty coins used as ‘ passport’ or secret token of identity to have access at the gates of the cities of Parma and Reggio Emilia and fortresses of the surrounding territory. The coins are described in detail and can be identified ; they are billon or silver coins of various Italian and foreign mints. This is the first evidence of such a use of coins. Travaini Lucia, Bazzini Marco. Observer-Agent Kinematic Similarity Facilitates Action Intention Decoding
It is well known that the kinematics of an action is modulated by the underlying motor intention. In turn, kinematics serves as a cue also during action observation, providing hints about the intention of the observed action. However, an open question is whether decoding others' intentions on the basis of their kinematics depends solely on how much the kinematics varies across different actions, or rather it is also influenced by its similarity with the observer motor repertoire. The execution of reach-to-grasp and place actions, differing for target size and context, was recorded in terms of upper-limb kinematics in 21 volunteers and in an actor. Volunteers had later to observe the sole reach-to-grasp phase of the actor's actions, and predict the underlying intention. The potential benefit of the kinematic actor-participant similarity for recognition accuracy was evaluated. In execution, both target size and context modulated specific kinematic parameters. More importantly, although participants performed above chance in intention recognition, the similarity of motor patterns positively correlated with recognition accuracy. Overall, these data indicate that kinematic similarity exerts a facilitative role in intention recognition, providing further support to the view of action intention recognition as a visuo-motor process grounded in motor resonance
The Proactive Synergy Between Action Observation and Execution in the Acquisition of New Motor Skills

Coastal Marine Biodiversity: challenges and threats
With contributions from an impressive group of Argentinean and German oceanographers, this book examines classical ecological issues relating to marine ecosystems in the context of climate change. It paints a picture of marine ecology at the crossroads of global warming. The book examines the fundamentals of marine ecology: ecosystem stability, water quality, and biodiversity in the context of the changes taking place globally. It then reviews the major marine ecosystems in the same context, from the primary producers to the big marine mammals. The chapters cover primary consumers level, benthic communities, seaweeds assemblages and wetlands ecology, fisheries, and seabirds.Fil: Pan, Jeronimo.
