The aim of this paper is to present the work of Sophie Poirot-Delpech. Through her research, the author has contributed to the development of a specific tradition in the sociological domain – the social-anthropology of technique. In this approach (that has benefited from the contributions of other authors, particularly Alain Gras, Gérard Dubey, Caroline Moricot, Victor Scardigli) we try to identify convergence points with organizational psychologists´ practice, namely, the centrality of the real; participative action; and the importance of context. Particular attention is paid to the concepts and methods adopted, in order to emphasize the contributions that this tradition brings to the research on organizational psychology. Also accentuated is the exercise of contextualizing human activity, its historical character and the relevance of its continuous (re)construction as imperatives to the understanding of it

Gastellu — Residence, Land Tenure and Marriage in a Double-Descent Society: The Serer from the Sine and Baol Regions of Senegal. This society is characterized by virilocal residence, double-descent, and matrilineal inheritance of non-consumable goods. Residential compounds are inherited in both the agnatic and the uterine lines, the relative proportion of each type of succession varying in the four villages under study. A compound may be divided into 'wards', 'kitchens', and, further down, 'uterine huts', each of these units corresponding to a specifie economic function. Starting from K. Gough's five types of residential categories, we define seven different patterns, the form most frequently found being the patrilocal extended family, the elementary family and a composite type of avuncular family, in that order. There is a significant correlation between residence patterns and inheritance of traditional offices. 'Kitchens' differ from compounds insofar as they can be matrilocal and chiefly consist of elementary families. While married sons often live in the same 'kitchen' with their fathers, nephews seldom cohabit with their MB. The 'uterine hut' is the primary unit of economic accumulation. The bilineal pattern of inheritance is also found in the four-level System of land-rights, with a correlation between land-rights and residence. Residential patterns and pre-ferential marriages tend to counterbalance the dispersal of a matrilineage's women resulting from virilocality.Dupire Marguerite, Lericollais André, Delpech Bernard, Gastellu Jean-Marc.
The pseudo-historicity, spurious attribution and alleged translation of a lost manuscript was a paratextual theme widely used in the Spanish literature of the Golden Age, usually associated with a taletype in which the author tells the circumstances of finding the lost text. Delpech focuses on the relations of such a theme —essential in apocrypha and in the literature of Revelation— to the mythology underlying talismanic magic. He argues that this mythology is rooted in some esoteric trends of Judaism and Islam that originated in the Hermetic Tradition, where ancient views of the East on the heavenly origin of writing and the holy nature of the book converged.
Authentication in Key-Exchange: Definitions, Relations and Composition
We present a systematic approach to define and study authentication notions in authenticated key-exchange protocols. We propose and use a flexible and expressive predicate-based definitional framework. Our definitions capture key and entity authentication, in both implicit and explicit variants, as well as key and entity confirmation, for authenticated key-exchange protocols. In particular, we capture critical notions in the authentication space such as key-compromise impersonation resistance and security against unknown key-share attacks. We first discuss these definitions within the Bellare-Rogaway model and then extend them to Canetti-Krawczyk-style models. We then show two useful applications of our framework. First, we look at the authentication guarantees of three representative protocols to draw several useful lessons for protocol design. The core technical contribution of this paper is then to formally establish that composition of secure implicitly authenticated key-exchange with subsequent confirmation protocols yields explicit authentication guarantees. Without a formal separation of implicit and explicit authentication from secrecy, a proof of this folklore result could not have been established
