Disponibilità a pagare e disponibilità ad accettare per la riduzione dell'impatto paesaggistico delle linee elettriche dell'alta tensione
Some recent studies pointed out that electricity pylons are one of the most important factors of rural landscape degradation. In order to estimate the monetary value of pylons visual impact, two different contingent valuation approaches were used. The first one simulated a referendum poll in which people were asked to state his or her willingness to accept a compensation (throw the reduction of paid taxes) for the loss of landscape quality. In the second one people were asked to state the willingness to pay to underground the overhead lines. Results highlight that political markets simulation will reduce, but not eliminate, differences between WTA and WTP. The reasons of such a result are discussed at the light of recent international research in this field
CONSTRUCTING AND REPRESENTING: A NEW PROJECT FOR 3D SURVEYING OF YAZILIKAYA - HATTUŠA
Within the cooperation project between the University Suor Orsola Benincasa of Naples and the archaeological mission in Hattuša of
the German Archaeological Institute of Istanbul, directed by Andreas Schachner, in agreement with the Turkish Ministry of Culture
and Tourism, the workgroup of the University of Naples, has carried out, in September 2015, a first survey campaign of the whole
rocky site of Yazılıkaya.
The experimentation has been finalized at constructing a global 3D territorial and monumental model of the site, capable that is,
through the application of differing scanning procedures, according to the different components (topography, rocky complex, the
cultural spaces therein, complex of sculptural reliefs, inscriptions accompanying the divine representations), of virtually reproducing
in detail, for safegaurd, exhibition and study purposes (in particular from an epigraphical and historic-artistic point of view) all the
aspects characterizing the artefact and not completely visible to the naked eye today
L'abitato di Mursia (Pantelleria) nel quadro delle interazioni nel Mediterraneo durante l'età del Bronzo, in Italia tra Mediterraneo ed Europa: mobilità, interazioni e scambi
The new results from the excavations at Mursia lead to a revaluation of the characteristics and role of the Early/Middle Bronze Age (1750-1450 BC) community of Pantelleria (1750-1450 BC) in the context of exchange and interactions in the Mediterranean. On the one hand, certain types of pottery, and above all the more consistent presence of engraved decoration, suggest a reassessment of the entire Mursia complex from a Mediterranean perspective. More specifically, the generic attribution to the RTV facies in a restrictive sense no longer appears satisfactory. On the other hand, the presence of different elements of external origin, and in particular valuable elements and ceramics of oriental production, confirm the role of Pantelleria as a reference point for those navigating in the central Mediterranean.
The peculiarity of the foundation by a community of presumably Sicilian origin and the interactions already attested in the early II millennium BC make Pantelleria an exceptional context for further exploration of the mechanisms of mobility, exchange and maritime control within a particularly wide geographical area. The relationships extend towards the southern Tyrrhenian, the Sicilian
channel, the Ionian and, in the most easterly regions presumably stretching as far as the Peloponnese and the Adriatic coasts. The only missing evidence concerns relations with northern Africa, but we can assume that this gap is due more to a lack of investigation than to any closure towards this area, moreover documented by elements that suggest the presence in navigation of a southern Mediterranean route

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
