Antenna design of a UHF RFID tag for human tracking avoiding spurious emission
A UHF RFID antenna is proposed for human tracking applications. The antenna size is adequately designed in order to satisfy special requirements: compact antenna size, read range greater than 3 m, respect of UHF RFID emission standards avoiding spurious emission. The antenna design is carried out by co-simulation between electromagnetic fields and circuit solvers
Time-domain prediction of the radiated susceptibility in a shielded cable inside a penetrable shielded box
The radiated susceptibility of a shielded cable inside a penetrable shielded enclosure is analysed by a numerical procedure based on the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. Impedance network boundary conditions (INBCs) are used to model the field penetration through the shield. The induced effects of the field-excited shielded cable are analysed by using a hybrid technique based on the FDTD method and on the multiconductor transmission line (MTL) model. Application examples are given. Copyright (C) 2002 John Wiley Sons, Ltd

A procedure for numerical solution of field-excited nonuniform transmission lines
The point-matched finite element-time domain method (FE-TD) is applied to study the susceptibility of nonuniform thin wires excited by a transient, nonuniform electromagnetic field. The scattered voltage formulation of transmission line equations is adopted and distributed voltage sources are considered. Field equations and transmission line equations are simultaneously solved at discrete time steps adopting the leap-frog scheme
