    Dr. Manmohan Singh, the first Sikh Prime Minister of India, who was known for his trailblazing economic reforms that propelled India into a global powerhouse died on Thursday, 26 December in New Delhi. He was 92. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid his tribute to Dr. Singh, a distinguished political figure of our times. The Union Cabinet marked their respect for the former Prime Minister by observing a two-minute silence and by adopting a Condolence resolution that read as follows “Dr. Manmohan Singh has left his imprint on our national life. In his passing away, the nation has lost an eminent statesman, renowned economist, and a distinguished leader,” it said

    Pada tahun 2004-2014, India dipimpin oleh Perdana Menteri Manmohan Singh. Pada masa pemerintahannya, Singh mengeluarkan strategi pembangunan yang tak hanya fokus pada pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cepat dan stabil namun juga ingin menciptakan pertumbuhan ekonomi secara inklusif. Hal ini berdampak baik pada perekonomian India. Dimana India tak hanya mendapatkan pertumbuhan ekonomi yang tinggi dan cepat namun juga berkelanjutan. Strategi pembangunan yang dikeluarkan oleh India saat itu memiliki karakter yang sama dengan pandangan baru tentang pembangunan yakni Neo Developmentalism. Pandangan ini keluar etika Washington Consensus mengalami krisis legitimasi karena banyak negara yang gagal dalam menerapkannya. Sehingga Neo Developmentalism memiliki strategi pembangunan baru yang dapat membantu negara berkembang untuk bertransisi keluar dari Washington Consensus. Strategi pembangunan yang terdapat pada Neo Developmentalism memiliki aktivitas pendukung, yang mana aktivitas tersebut akan membantu mendeskripsikan suatu negara memiliki kesamaan dengan Neo Developmentalism. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini penulis bertujuan untuk melihat apakah India menerapkan Neo Developmentalism dalam strategi pembangunan ekonomi pada masa pemerintahan Manmohan Singh tahun 2004-2014. Dimana pada masa pemerintahan Singh, India mencapai perekonomian terbaik sepanjang sejarah India. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dimana hasilnya akan menjelaskan fenomena Neo-Developmentalism di India. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwasanya terdapat sembilan aktivitas India yang sama dengan aktivitas yang terdapat pada perspektif pembangunan Neo-Developmentalism. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pencapaian India yang dicapai pada masa pemerintahan Manmohan Singh tahun 2004-2014 melakukan strategi pembangunan dan menerapkan aktivitas yang sama dengan perspektif pembangunan baru yakni Neo-Developmentalism

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
