Institutionalization of Exhibition and Convention Activity in Innovation-Based Economy
No full textThe meaning of exhibition and convention activity is currently undergoing serious changes. Contemporary forums and exhibitions promote goods and services, as well as create new social, economic, and political relation standards. The contemporary crisis has revealed some regulatory gaps. However, innovative marketing approach to exhibition and convention events can help industry to recover and grow. Exhibition and convention events produce not only economics effects: they also promote institutional, public, and innovative development. The present research featured cooperation and coordination of stakeholders in exhibition and convention activities, as well as related legal, marketing, and theoretical factors. The research objective was to develop the economy of events – a new methodological approach to assessment of non-material effects of exhibition and convention activity. The research was based on the methods of institutional economics; the paper offers an analysis of existing legal frameworks and standards. The author believes that exhibition and convention sphere needs institutional background based on the interaction of existing norms and methods within event system. This theoretical aspect made it possible to consider the role of events in the context of building sustainable interrelationships between institutes and society, as well as to reinterpret the role of exhibition and convention activity in the modern agenda

No full textThe article considers the contemporary state of congress-exhibition service market as critical. Organizing the major events which have non-negligible impact on economical, innovative, technological, investment processes has been limited due to the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Decision-making process of putting limitation on activities organization has been derived from external environment adverse events aligned with current sanitary-epidemiological situation. There has been analyzed the potential loss due to cancelling or rescheduling congress-exhibition events in 2020. Demand and supply reduction necessitate searching alternative development directions and core business diversification. In the capacity one of potential and perspective directions There was stated a social activity vector of Roscongress foundation as a non-financial development institution and organization of Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum, and Expoforum International, Ltd. as operator of holding forum venue. Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum has endowed with not only economic impact but also influence on forming-up communications intended to favor realization of the social programs during offline traditional holding event. There have been analyzed the quantitative indicators dynamics of St.-Petersburg International Economic Forum and qualitative indicators in the context of thematic zones of social orientation, which gives the ground to state the wide institutional influence on social economic processes in tourism destination and in other fields. Cooperation programs diversification with local communities has been allowing positive image creation as one of elements of destination strategic promotion on the world congress and tourist map

I personally undertook a similar journey ten years back. I would say that it is better to understand the principles of economics and then try to understand the economy/economic situation of any given country. My recommendations (for BSc students and everyone who is interested in economics101) are based on my own readings: Sloman’s ”Essentials of economics;” Gwartney et al. ”Economics: Private Public Choice;” Jesus Huerta de Soto’s ”The Austrian School: Market Order and Entrepreneurial Creativity;” Rodrik’s ”Economics Rules;” Foley’s ”Adam’s fallacy: a guide to economic theology;” De Soto’s ”The mystery of capital: Why capitalism triumphs in the West and fails everywhere else;” Harford’s ”The Undercover Economist;” Levitt and Dubner’s ”Freakonomics.”This Paper should not be reported as representing the views of Central Bank of Armenia. No full textThe article presents the latest version of circumstances and cause of death of Sergey Yesenin. It should be seen as an edition as well as addition to the recently published monograph Murder of Sergey Yesenin. Criminalistic, Historical and Literary Study (Szczytno 2009), where the primary version of the poet’s murder was depicted. The following revised version reveals some new figures which were directly involved in the tragic death of Yesenin, i.e. Iosif Stalin as the initiator or Georgy Ustinov and Vasily Nazarov as the executors of that perfidious deed. The author projects a plan of the plot, a calendar of the last days and hours of Yesenin’s life, brings out unknown facts and hypotheses which prove a planned homicide committed by members of Soviet secret police (Joint State Political Directorate) and, therefore, disqualify the official version of suicide
