The Effect of Providing Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation on Student Learning Difficulties
Full text linkThis study aims to understand the combined effect of extrinsic and intrinsic motivation on students' learning difficulties at the junior secondary school level. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants consisted of 10 people, including students with learning difficulties, subject teachers, guidance and counselling (BK) teachers, and parents. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation in the classroom to see the implementation of motivational strategies in the learning process. Interviews were conducted to obtain informants' perspectives on motivation and learning difficulties. Data were analysed using thematic analysis method and data triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that the combination of extrinsic motivation, such as rewards and praise, with intrinsic motivation, such as curiosity and personal interest, can have a significant synergistic effect in reducing students' learning difficulties. This research is expected to contribute to the literature on motivation in educational contexts and provide practical guidance for educators in developing effective motivational strategies to support students with learning difficulties
Pembuatan Perahu Sande’ (Studi Mitologi Masyarakat Pamboang Kabupaten Majene)
Full text linkThe main problems in this study are (1) To analyze how the stages of ritual procession of public trust in Sande boat making ', (2) To analyze what the symbolic message is contained in the ritual procession of public confidence in the making of Sande' s boat. This research was conducted in Pamboang District, Bonde Village, Majene Regency. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Primary data obtained through in-depth interviews to the parties that have been determined by using purposive sampling techniques, as well as direct observation in the field. Secondary data is obtained from data collection through documents and literature related to the research topic. The results of this study indicate that the ritual procession that accompanies Sande boat making is seen in three major stages ie before boatbuilding, boat making process and after boatbuilding. The meaning contained in the implementation of the ritual is the hope that always be given salvation by Allah SWT in using the boat. In addition, the ritual also intends to invoke the abundant sustenance of the process of going to sea later.Keywords: Mythology, Sande 'Boat, Society
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Penyimpangan Sosial Human Trafficking
Full text linkPenelitian yang dilaksanakan merupakan penelitian sosial budaya yang jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan teknik analisis secara kualitatif dengan menggambarkan secara utuh dan jelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya human trafficking, bentuk dari human trafficking dan peran dari pemerintah dalam menanggulangi terjadinya human traffiking yang ada di Kota Makassar. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya human trafficking dikarenakan kebutuhan ekonomi yang mendesak, baik dari korban maupun dari pelaku semuanya beralasan dikarenakan oleh kebutuhan ekonomi dan faktor yang lainnya juga dikarenakan oleh lingkungan dan teman bergaul dari orang yang bersangkutan. Adapun bentuk dari human trafficking itu sendiri adalah yang bersangkutan atau korban dijadikan sebagai PSK oleh pelaku dan hasil dari dengan menjadikan korban PSK sepenuhnya diambil oleh si pelaku. Dan peran dari pemerintah sendiri dalam menanggulangi terjadinya human trafficking itu dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan seminar-semina kepada masyarakat, tempat-tempat hiburan dan hotel-hotel yang berada disekitar pusat hiburan, dalam hal ini pemerintah bekerjasama dengan pihak kepolisian dan Lembaga-lembaga Sosial. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Full text linkPenelitian tentang Perempuan Maskulin (study Kasus Kecamatan Patimpeng Kabupaten Bone).Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah Proses pembentukan karakter maskulin pada perempuan, pandangan masyarakat terhadap perempuan maskulin dan bagaimanakah implikasi sosial perempuan maskulin dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pandangan masyarakat terhadap perempuan yang berkarakter maskulin dan implikasi sosial perempuan maskulin. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif ditunjang dengan pendekatan study kasus, pengumpulan data digunakan dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam, teknik dokumentasi dari hasil foto . Dalam penelitian ini, yang menjadi sasaran penelitian adalah pertamam perempuan yang dianggap maskulin, kedua tokoh masyarakat yang dianggap bisa memberikan informasi atau data yang sesuai dengan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pembentukan karakter maskulin pada perempuan dipengaruhi oleh faktor kebiasaan yang dilakukan dari kecil, dan faktor lingkungan .serta pandangan masyarakat tentang perempuan maskulin merupakan sebuah penyimpangan identitas gender manusia, walaupun demikian masyarakat menghargainya sebagaimana manusia lainnya, itu adalah hak mereka dalam menjalani hidup serta selama itu tidak melanggar norma norma dan nilai nilai yang ada dimasyarakat.
