Colchicine as a Possible Alternative Treatment for Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis
Exacerbation of Verruca Vulgaris Associated with Etanercept in A Case of Ankylosing Spondylitis
The frequency and effect of fibromyalgia in patients with Behcet's disease
Conclusion: Our study results suggest that patients with BD have an increased severity of depression and anxiety, higher frequency of FM, and worsened QoL than healthy individuals. In addition, the presence of FM seems to be related with female sex, longer disease duration, older age, depression, sleep disturbance, and poor QoL in BD patients
Successful Treatment with Etanercept of Rheumatoid Arthritis Occurring in a Patient with Familial Mediterranean Fever
Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) is an inherited disorder characterized by lifelong recurrent, self-limiting attacks of fever and systemic inflammation. Rheumatoid arthritis is an erosive, chronic, inflammatory disease that affects mainly the wrists and joints of the hands. Development of rheumatoid arthritis in a patient with FMF is extremely rare. To our knowledge, this condition has been reported only once previously. Here, we present a 31-year-old female patient who developed rheumatoid arthritis during the course of FMF. In the patient, while the FMF was under control with regular use of colchicine, the rheumatoid arthritis was resistant to conventional therapies. Etanercept treatment provided complete remission in our patient

Isometric Exercise for the Cervical Extensors Can Help Restore Physiological Lordosis and Reduce Neck Pain A Randomized Controlled Trial
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate whether isometric neck extension exercise restores physiological cervical lordosis and reduces pain
BRUCELLA SEROLOGY IN PATIENTS WITH LOW BACK PAIN WITH MODIC TYPE II LESION
Objective: Modic lesions are common bone marrow and endplate changes that are visible on magnetic resonance imaging of the lumbar spine. They are generally classified into three types. Histological examinations have shown that type I (hypointensity on T1- and hyperintensity on T2-weighted images) consists of fibrovascular tissue, type II (hyperintensity on T1- and T2-weighted images) is lipid, and type III (hypointensity on T1- and T2-weighted images) is sclerotic bone. These lesions are associated with low back pain
Protracted Febrile Myalgia Syndrome: A Case Report Focusing on Possible Environmental Triggers
Protracted febrile myalgia syndrome (PFMS) is an uncommon, dramatic manifestation of familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) which is characterized by severe myalgia and high fever. This syndrome is considered to be either a rare type of vasculitis requiring corticosteroid treatment or an extension of the inflammation in FMF which is associated with Mediterranean fever (MEFV) gene mutations. Although the exact environmental triggers for the syndrome are unknown, various factors, such as streptococcal infections, have been suggested. In this article, we present a 33-year-old male patient who developed PFMS after a long-term travel and hyperthermal (>40 degrees C) balneotherapy. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report which proposes a relationship between PFMS and balneotherapy
THE SEVERITY OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE IN PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY
Objective: There is an increasing interest in the associations between oral health and auto-inflammatory diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and periodontal disease (PD) are the most common chronic inflammatory conditions often coexist as well. The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare RA patients and healthy controls in terms of PD severity and jaw gripping force. To our knowledge, there is only one study evaluating jaw gripping force of patients with RA in the literature
