On this article, the author analyses some advertising texts created by Fernando Pessoa and
some of his thoughts about this activity. The main attention goes to the famous slogan “Primeiro
estranha-se. Depois entranha-se”, analysed through the principles of the functions
and proprieties of this element of advertisements. Finally, the author presents a recent slogan, constructed through the slogan of the Portuguese writer

Fernando de Carvalho Cerqueira Magro Gomes Ferreira nasceu no Porto, a 17 de novembro de 1920. Distinguiu-se com excelência na especialidade de Medicina Interna, sendo docente na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto e tendo participado em muitos projetos investigacionais, que viriam a ser promotores de desenvolvimento do conhecimento médico.
Métodos
Visitas efetuadas aos registos da Biblioteca da FMUP e ao arquivo da Reitoria da Universidade do Porto. Entrevistas realizadas a alguns dos seus colegas e discípulos, o Professor Manuel Pestana e os Drs. João Quinaz, José Alberto Mergulhão e Moura Reis, e à D. Teresa Coimbra, sua filha. Usados dados do domínio público da internet.
Resultados
Fernando Cerqueira Magro foi um pioneiro na Medicina, nacional e internacional, tendo tido principal destaque na introdução da prática da biópsia renal em Portugal, e um importante papel na hemodiálise, transplantação renal e Geriatria, entre os principais.
Clínico e investigador prestigiado, possuiu cargos de Diretor de dois Serviços do Hospital de S. João. Destacou-se paralelamente no ensino, alcançando a regência de dois cursos desta Faculdade.
Discussão
Sendo fortemente influenciado pelos Professores Rocha Pereira e Ferraz Júnior, teve um inestimável impacto na prática clínica, no ensino, na investigação e na gestão de serviços de saúde.
Conclusão
Palavras são insuficientes para descrever a importância que Cerqueira Magro teve na Medicina. Os seus trabalhos pioneiros e o seu espírito proativo e empreendedor levaram-no a defender e a criar um legado que ainda hoje é impactante e reconhecido pelos seus pares.Introduction
Fernando de Carvalho Cerqueira Magro Gomes Ferreira was born in Porto, on November 17, 1920. He distinguished himself with excellence in the specialty of Internal Medicine, teaching at "Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto" and having participated in many research projects, which became promoters of the development of medical knowledge.
Methods
Visits made to the records of the FMUP Library and to the archive of the "Reitoria da Universidade do Porto". Interviews with some of his colleagues and disciples, Professor Manuel Pestana and Drs. João Quinaz, José Alberto Mergulhão and Moura Reis, and to D. Teresa Coimbra, his daughter. Data from the public internet domain was used.
Results
Fernando Cerqueira Magro was a pioneer in Medicine, nationally and internationally, having had the main role in introducing the practice of kidney biopsy in Portugal, and an important role in hemodialysis, kidney transplantation and Geriatrics, among the main ones.
A prestigious clinician and researcher, he held the positions of Director of two Services at Hospital de S. João. He stood out at the same time in teaching, managing two courses at this Faculty.
Discussion
Being strongly influenced by Professors Rocha Pereira and Ferraz Júnior, he had an invaluable impact on clinical practice, teaching, research and management of health services.
Conclusion
Words are insufficient to describe the importance that Cerqueira Magro had in Medicine. His pioneering work and his proactive and entrepreneurial spirit led him to defend and create a legacy that is still impactful today and recognized by his peers

Through the creation of his heteronymys, Pessoa addresses fundamental questions related to the fragmentation of the self and the complexity of human identity. The analysis centers on the multifaceted nature of the author, investigating how each heteronym represents a distinct aspect of his inner world and an attempt to understand and transcend the limits of individuality
