Calibration and validation for the vessel maneuvering prediction (VMP) model using AIS data of vessel encounters
The Vessel Maneuvering Prediction (VMP) model, which was developed in a previous work with the aim of predicting the interaction between vessels in ports and waterways, is optimized in this paper by considering the relative position and vessel size (length and beam). The calibration is carried out using AIS data of overtaking vessels in the port of Rotterdam. The sensitivity analysis of the optimal parameters shows the robustness of the calibrated VMP model. For the validation, the optimal parameters are used to simulate the whole path of overtaken vessels and vessels in head-on encounters. Compared to the AIS data, the validation results show that the different deviations in longitudinal direction range from 33 m to 112 m, which is less than 5% of the waterway stretch. Let L= − Δ + V be a Schrödinger operator, where Δ is the Laplacian on Rn and the non-negative potential V belongs to the reverse Hölder class RHq for q≥ n/ 2. In this paper, we study the boundedness of the Marcinkiewicz integral operators μjL and their commutators [b,μjL] with b∈ BMOθ(ρ) on generalized Morrey spaces Mp,φα,V(Rn) associated with Schrödinger operator and vanishing generalized Morrey spaces VMp,φα,V(Rn) associated with Schrödinger operator. We find the sufficient conditions on the pair (φ1, φ2) which ensure the boundedness of the operators μjL from one vanishing generalized Morrey space VMp,V to another VMp,V, 1 < p< ∞ and from the space VM1,V to the weak space VWM1,V. When b belongs to BMOθ(ρ) and (φ1, φ2) satisfies some conditions, we also show that [b,μjL] is bounded from Mp,V to Mp,V and from VMp,V to VMp,V, 1 < p< ∞. © 2017, The Author(s)

Daratumumab Plus Bortezomib, Melphalan, and Prednisone Versus Standard of Care in Latin America for Transplant-Ineligible Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma: Propensity Score Matching Analysis
Introduction: The phase 3 ALCYONE study demonstrated significantly longer progression-free and overall survival (PFS/OS) and higher overall response rates (ORR) with daratumumab plus bortezomib, melphalan, and prednisone (D-VMP) versus VMP alone in transplant-ineligible patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM). In Latin America, bortezomib- or thalidomide-based regimens remain standard of care (SoC) for this population. No head-to-head trials have compared D-VMP with SoC regimens used in Latin America. Methods: Propensity score matching (PSM) was used to control for baseline differences between patient populations and compare outcomes for D-VMP versus SoC regimens used in Latin America. Data for the D-VMP cohort were from the D-VMP arm of the ALCYONE trial (n = 350). Data for the SoC cohort were from the retrospective, observational Hemato-Oncology Latin America (HOLA) study, which included patients with NDMM who did not receive a transplant (n = 729). Propensity scores were estimated using logistic regression. Exact, optimal, and nearest-neighbor PSM were applied to pick the best-performing method. Doubly robust estimation was the base case, since some baseline imbalances persisted. Results: All 350 patients from the D-VMP arm of ALCYONE were included in OS/PFS analyses and 338 in ORR analysis; 478 and 324 patients, respectively, from HOLA were included in these analyses. Naïve comparison revealed important differences in baseline characteristics (age, chronic kidney disease, hypercalcemia, and International Staging System [ISS] stage). After nearest-neighbor matching, baseline characteristics, except ISS stage, were well balanced; comparisons favored D-VMP over SoC for OS (hazard ratio = 0.41; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.25–0.66; P = 0.002) and PFS (hazard ratio = 0.48; 95% CI 0.35–0.67; P < 0.001). After exact matching, imbalances remained in age and ISS stage; comparisons favored D-VMP over SoC for ORR (odds ratio = 5.44; 95% CI 2.65–11.82; P < 0.001). Conclusion: In transplant-ineligible patients with NDMM, D-VMP showed superior effectiveness versus bortezomib- and thalidomide-based regimens, supporting adoption of daratumumab-containing regimens in Latin America. © 2020, The Author(s)
Optimització de la logística inversa i del servei postvenda en una empresa del sector VMP
[ES] Este proyecto se centra en la optimización de la logística inversa y servicio postventa de una empresa del sector de Vehículos de Movilidad Personal (VMP) mediante la implantación de protocolos estandarizados, desarrollo e integración del Portal Cliente en el ERP Odoo, automatización de procesos y un sistema de mejora continua adoptado. El principal objetivo es la eficiencia operativa, adoptar un modelo de economía circular, reducir los costes operativos y el incremento de la facturación del departamento, a la vez que incrementar la satisfacción del cliente.
El trabajo se desarrolla en el ámbito organizacional del departamento postventa, donde se realizó un análisis exhaustivo de los procesos de postventa para identificar ineficiencias y
oportunidades de mejora. A partir de este análisis, se implementó un modelo integral de logística inversa que abarca la gestión administrativa, técnica y logística, garantizando
trazabilidad total en cada etapa: devoluciones, garantías (DOA/RMA), reparaciones, reacondicionamiento y reintegración de equipos al cliente o al inventario. Por otro lado, se
establecieron indicadores claves de desempeño (KPI) que permiten monitorizar resultados en tiempo real y apoyar la toma de decisiones.
Los resultados obtenidos demuestran mejoras significativas en el servicio postventa gracias al cumplimiento estricto de los protocolos: el departamento postventa se ha convertido en un activo estratégico en lugar de un centro de costes, generando valor y alineado con la estrategia de sostenibilidad de la empresa.
La autora se basa gran parte del trabajo en su experiencia profesional de cinco años optimizando e implementando las mejoras en el departamento postventa de la empresa, lo que le permite ofrecer una visión muy práctica y detallada del proceso.[EN] This project focuses on the optimization of reverse logistics and after-sales service in a company from the Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMV) sector through the implementation of standardized protocols, the development and integration of the Customer Portal in the ERP Odoo, process automation, and the adoption of a continuous improvement system. The main objective is operational efficiency, adopting a circular economy model, reducing operating costs, and increasing the department s revenue, while also enhancing customer satisfaction.
The work is developed within the organizational scope of the after-sales department, where an exhaustive analysis of processes was carried out to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Based on this analysis, a comprehensive reverse logistics model was implemented, covering administrative, technical, and logistical management, ensuring full traceability at each stage: returns, warranties (DOA/RMA), repairs, reconditioning, and reintegration of equipment to the customer or inventory. In addition, key performance indicators (KPIs) were established to monitor results in real time and support decision-making.
The results obtained demonstrate significant improvements in the after-sales service thanks to strict compliance with the protocols: the after-sales department has become a strategic asset rather than a cost center, generating value and aligned with the company s sustainability strategy.

permeten monitorar resultats en temps real i donar suport a la presa de decisions.
Els resultats obtinguts demostren millores significatives en el servici postvenda gràcies al
compliment estricte dels protocols: el departament postvenda s’ha convertit en un actiu
estratègic en lloc d’un centre de costos, generant valor i alineat amb l’estratègia de sostenibilitat
de l’empresa.

Bortezomib Plus Melphalan and Prednisone Compared With Melphalan and Prednisone in Previously Untreated Multiple Myeloma: Updated Follow-Up and Impact of Subsequent Therapy in the Phase III VISTA Trial
Purpose The purpose of this study was to confirm overall survival (OS) and other clinical benefits with bortezomib, melphalan, and prednisone (VMP) versus melphalan and prednisone (MP) in the phase III VISTA (Velcade as Initial Standard Therapy in Multiple Myeloma) trial after prolonged follow-up, and evaluate the impact of subsequent therapies. Patients and Methods Previously untreated symptomatic patients with myeloma ineligible for high-dose therapy received up to nine 6-week cycles of VMP (n = 344) or MP (n = 338). Results With a median follow-up of 36.7 months, there was a 35% reduced risk of death with VMP versus MP (hazard ratio, 0.653; P < .001); median OS was not reached with VMP versus 43 months with MP; 3-year OS rates were 68.5% versus 54.0%. Response rates to subsequent thalidomide( 41% v 53%) and lenalidomide-based therapies (59% v 52%) appeared similar after VMP or MP; response rates to subsequent bortezomib-based therapy were 47% versus 59%. Among patients treated with VMP (n = 178) and MP (n = 233), median survival from start of subsequent therapy was 30.2 and 21.9 months, respectively, and there was no difference in survival from salvage among patients who received subsequent bortezomib, thalidomide, or lenalidomide. Rates of adverse events were higher with VMP versus MP during cycles 1 to 4, but similar during cycles 5 to 9. With VMP, 79% of peripheral neuropathy events improved within a median of 1.9 months; 60% completely resolved within a median of 5.7 months. Conclusion VMP significantly prolongs OS versus MP after lengthy follow-up and extensive subsequent antimyeloma therapy. First-line bortezomib use does not induce more resistant relapse. Efeito de três diluidores sobre o sêmen de ovino deslanado.
Resumo: Objetiando quantificar os efeitos inlpostos pela diluiçao e processan1ento para a congelaçao do sêmen de carneiros, foram avaliados três diluentes. Para tanto util izou-se 20 ejaculados, obtidos através de vagina artificial, de 20 carneiros adultos da raça Santa Inês. Apoós a colheita, o sêmen foi avaliado quanto à motilidade individual progressiva (MIP), vigor (V), morfologia de acrossonla após coloraçao pela Giemsa (MA) e porcentagem de vivos e mortcos apoós coloraçao pela eosina-nigrosina (VM). Cada ejaculado foi dividido em três aliquotas, de igual volume, diluidos numa proporçao de 1:5 (v :v) usando diluentes não gl icerlizados, à base de leite desnatado (L), citrato-gema (C) e kiev (K). Após essa diluiçao, preparou-se lâmina para avaliaçao de vivos e mortos (VMO), seguindo-se o resfriamento das amostras. Ao alcançar 4°C, o sêmen foi avaliado para motilidade individual progressiva (MIPR), vigor (VR), vivos e mortos (VMR). Em seguida as amostras receberam a segunda diluiçao de maneira a pemanecerem com um nível de crioproteçao de 4% em glicerol. Após um equilibrio de 20 minutos o sêmen foi envasado em palheta de 0,5 ml e submetido a congelaçao em vapores de nitrogênjo liquido, por oito miinutos e posterior imersão em nitrogênio liquido (-196ºC), onde permaneceram por três semanas. Após esse perioda procedeu-se a descongelaçao em banho-maria a 37ºC, durante 20 segundos, para avaliaçao da motilidade individual progressiva (MIPC), vigor (VC), morfologia de acrossoma (MAC) e porcentagem de vivos e mortos (VMC). Os resultados obtidos foram transformados em arcseno, submetidos a análise de variância e ao teste de LSD. As variaveis MIP, V, MA, e VM tiveram os valores (média +- erro padrao) de :55,7 +- 4,2 ; 4,3 +- 0,5 ; 18,5 +- 0,0 ; 69,0 *- 0,0, respetivamente. Não houveram diferencas (P)0.05) entre os três tratamentos para VMD para MIPR, VR, VMP e para VC, MAC. Os valores da MIPC para os tratamentos L, C e K foram 7,7b+-2,1; 16,3a+- 2,2 e 11,0b +- 2,2 respectivamente. Para VMC obteve-se 36,4a+- 1,8; 36,6a+- 1,8 e 25,8b+- 1,8 (a)b ; P(0,05), para L, C e K respectivamente. Embora não existissem diferenças (P)0,05), o diluidor C apresentou resultados mais satisfatórios para a maioria das variáveis estudadas e ainda mostrou-se superior ao L quanto a MIPC e superior ao K quanto a VMC. In this paper, we study the boundedness of the commutators [b,IβL] with b on local generalized Morrey spaces LMp,φα,V,{x0}, generalized Morrey spaces Mp,φα,V and vanishing generalized Morrey spaces VMp,φα,V associated with Schrödinger operator, respectively. When b belongs to with θ> 0 , 0 < ν< 1 and (φ1, φ2) satisfies some conditions, we show that the commutator operator [b,IβL] are bounded from LMp,V,{x0} to LMq,V,{x0}, from Mp,V to Mq,V and from VMp,V to VMq,V, 1 / p− 1 / q= (β+ ν) / n. © 2018, The Author(s)
Treatment Regimens for Transplant-Ineligible Patients With Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma: A Systematic Literature Review and Network Meta-analysis
Introduction: Many treatment regimens have been evaluated in transplant-ineligible (TIE) patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM). The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of relevant therapies for the treatment of TIE patients with NDMM. Methods: Progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) from large randomised controlled trials (RCTs) evaluating different treatment options for TIE patients with NDMM were compared in a network meta-analysis (NMA). The NMA includes recent primary and long-term OS readouts from SWOG S0777, ENDURANCE, MAIA, and ALCYONE. Relevant trials were identified through a systematic literature review. Relative efficacy measures (i.e., hazard ratios [HRs] for PFS and OS) were extracted and synthesised in random-effects NMAs. Results: A total of 122 publications describing 45 unique RCTs was identified. Continuous lenalidomide/dexamethasone (Rd) was selected as the referent comparator. Daratumumab-containing treatments (daratumumab/lenalidomide/dexamethasone [D-Rd], daratumumab/bortezomib/melphalan/prednisone [D-VMP]) and bortezomib/lenalidomide/dexamethasone (VRd) had the highest probabilities of being more effective than Rd continuous for PFS (HR: D-Rd, 0.53; D-VMP, 0.57, VRd, 0.77) and OS (HR: D-Rd, 0.68; VRd, 0.77, D-VMP, 0.78). D-Rd had the highest chance of being ranked as the most effective treatment with respect to PFS and OS. Results using a smaller network focusing on only those regimens that are relevant in Europe were consistent with the primary analysis. Conclusions: These comparative effectiveness data may help inform treatment selection in TIE patients with NDMM. © 2022, The Author(s)
