Interactive Summary evaluation for learning
The paper examines the structural model of a new type of lesson used to verify the preparation of the student before the final examination of any academic study course. This innovative teaching tool, which can be easily applied also in the study paths of all other non-academic levels, including first level schools, Lifelong Learning and in general in all levels of training, is called Interactive Summary Evaluation (I.S.E.) precisely in relation to the synthetic and immersive characteristics of which it is characterized. The work begins its analysis process by taking into consideration the "interactive video lesson" highlighting the main benefits in terms of the teaching effectiveness that it can bring in the learning process. The second phase of the analysis elaborates the progress and evolution of this last type of lessons to arrive at the definition of the structure, applications, benefits, critical points and learning outcomes
Practical guidelines for scientific production
The aims of conducting and publishing new scientific research are to disseminate evidence and share initiatives and innovations with others
in order to improve clinical practice and future research. The most important goal of valid scientific research is to contribute knowledge to the medical community: it is therefore crucial to write a solid and useful scientific paper, and to do so following rules that are commonly acknowledged by the scientific society. Data should be reported clearly and objectively to allow readers to increase their knowledge and to integrate this new information into their daily practice, thus improving it. The present paper reports a few, fundamental rules to write a scientific paper
Scientific evidence shows that taking charge of a patient with “end stage” heart failure who has undergone surgery to implant a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) of last generation, “Jarvik 2000” requires a global care pathway, in particular, on the patients return home.
The implantation of a device “Jarvik 2000” change in the life of the patient and his family, compared to a traditional transplant.
Taking care of a patient with a device “Jarvik 2000” requires a Nurse Case Manager, a professional able to: assess the needs of patients and their caregivers (clinical role); plan assistance and services in response to the need for them (managerial role) and to coordinate and organize the available resources (financial role), in a sort of “protected discharge” utilising integrated management. The Nurse Case Manager is seen as a “social facilitator” able to put in place a network of multidisciplinary services.
A professional able to respond in an appropriate manner, to the health needs of the population, by providing qualified assistance through specific autonomous and complementary interventions.
It is essential to work in a perspective that does not lose sight of the common goal: the patient, so that he can count on not only medical, but psychological and human support too
Nutrition in dementia. a challenge for nurses
Aim. The manuscript shows the presence of eating disorders in dementia in the elderly population and the risk of malnutrition. It is highlighted that the management of this patient is difficult and generate stress in the caregiver. Highlight the main questions that the medical staff provides the best form of nutrition for patients with dementia.
Methods. The literature review and reported international guidelines analyze and propose measures to be carried into the environment of the meal, diet and encourages, as permitted, patient independence.
Results. International guidelines suggest a multidisciplinary approach and the involvement of the family to carry out an individualized care plan. Strong are the recommendations to continue with assisted feeding by mouth.
Conclusions. The literature shows that support proportionate to the real food needs of the person with dementia to ensure well-being and quality of life. It needs more nurse training and the definition of coded interventions involved, whether nurse acquire more awareness of their role

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
