No full textIl saggio affronta, attraverso testimonianze che vanno dal VI al IX secolo, i termini risum e ridiculum in relazione a una cosiddetta barbara locutio rispetto a una rationabilis locutio. Vengono analizzati alcuni passi di autori della metà del IX secolo riguardanti il problema del pastiche linguistico e del conseguente possibile ridiculum, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la commistione tra latina lingua e barbarie quae est theotisca. Da questa analisi è forse possibile ricavare una nuova interpretazione della presenza di germanismi nella cosiddetta Parodia della Lex Salica, testo ludico databile alla seconda metà dell'VIII secolo.The essay deals, through witnesses ranging from the 6th to the 9th century, with the terms risum and ridiculum in relation to a so called barbara locutio compared to a rationabilis locutio. Some passages by writers from the mid-ninth century concerning the problem of linguistic pastiche and the consequent possible ridiculum are analysed, above all as regards the mixture between latina lingua and barbaries quae est theotisca. From this analysis it is perhaps possible to derive a new interpretation of the presence of Germanisms in the so-called Parody of the Lex Salica, a playful text datable to the second half of the eighth century

In particular, the focus is on the activity of the anonymous copyist and reviewer in this and other St. Gall manuscripts, outlining an activity within the monastery of St. Gall, presumably in the last quarter of the twelfth century, marked by interests in the inheritance and use of the manuscript heritage of the monastic library
