No full textThis essay intends to examine and analyze the presence and relevance of the Vico’s citations in the works of Cassirer, tracing chronologically the references throughout his career. Cassirer’s conception of Vico as the founder of the Geisteswissenschaften and the discoverer of myth is highlighted. The author deals with the recurring themes present in Cassirer’s interpretation of Vico and explores the differences between their philosophies, concluding that the German philosopher sees Vico through the lens of idealism, which limits his own comprehension of Vico’s originality.Este ensayo se propone examinar y analizar la presencia y la relevancia de las citas de Vico en las obras de Cassirer, trazando cronológicamente las referencias a lo largo de su carrera. Se destaca la visión de Cassirer sobre Vico como fundador de las Geisteswissenschaften y descubridor del mito. El autor trata las constantes que se hallan en la interpretación de Cassirer sobre Vico y explora las diferencias entre sus filosofías, concluyendo que Cassirer ve a Vico a través del lente del idealismo, limitando así su comprensión de la originalidad de Vico

III, Barbèra, Florence, 1903, pp. 643-664. It was published anonymously, but correspondence between Gentile and D’Ancona proves that Gentile was the author. In the complete works edition of Gentile, it has been reprinted in Frammenti di storia della filosofia, vol. I, edited by A.H. Cavallera, Le Lettere, Florence, 1999, pp. 85-103. Alongside each bio-bibliographical profile, there was a particularly representative anthology of the style and thought of the presented author. In the case of Vico, Gentile selected 32 axioms from the New Science, which are also included here translated into Spanish.Traducción del capítulo dedicado a Vico del Manuale di letteratura italiana, compilado por los profesores A. No full textSe narran tres momentos clave de encuentro con Vico, y los trabajos que el Autor ha producido con relación
a ellos en los ámbitos de estudio de las historias de las ideas en filosofía del derecho y en filosofía política.
Los tres momentos están representados por tres figurados «Vico». El primero, en 1977, gracias a Francisco Elías
de Tejada. El segundo, en 1997, repensando a Vico «veinte años después» y de la mano de Isaiah Berlin. Y el tercero,
con su más fructífero acercamiento (al Vico de Voegelin, de Collingwood, de Strauss), entre 1999 (con su participación
en el Congreso Internacional sobre Vico, en Sevilla) y 2017 (con su participación en el volumen por el
XXV Aniversario de Cuadernos sobre Vico).Three key encounters with Vico are here narrated, and the works that the Author has produced in relation
to them in the fields of the histories of ideas in philosophy of law and in political philosophy. The three
moments are represented by means of three figurative «Vicos». The first one, in 1977, thanks to Francisco Elías de
Tejada. The second one, in 1997, rethinking Vico «twenty years later» by the hand of Isaiah Berlin. And the third
one, with its most fruitful approach (to Voegelin’s Vico, Collingwood’s or Strauss’s ones), between 1999 (with his
contribution to the International Congress on Vico, in Seville) and 2017 (with his contribution to the volume of the
XXV Anniversary of Cuadernos sobre Vico).Il presente contributo ripercorre i tre momenti chiave dell’incontro con Vico e le opere che l’Autore ha

No full textA text of great philosophical beauty and insightful perspective on the thinker Vico (the “genius”) and his work (the “system”), the Preface to The Mind of Giambattista Vico (1837) offers this conjunction as a rational-vital and rational-historical process. Giuseppe Ferrari, one of the main editors of Vico’s works, also stands out as an ingenious civil and historical philosopher: a man of his century committed to the progress of knowledge and humanity. Summarized by Ferrari himself: “There is a spectacle much more interesting than seeing criticism tearing apart errors that no longer exist, and that is the spectacle of the progress of science which, on the great path of history, goes on to discover what a century earlier had already been discovered by an isolated genius.” Text translation and presentation by José M. Sevilla Fernández, who is also in charge of the translation of Chapter VIII of Part II, entitled “Il genio di Vico” (The Genius of Vico).
