Mandriola-Capo Mannu
At Capo Mannu, in the northern part of the Sinis Peninsula (western Sardinia), a stratigraphic succession think more than 80 m, overlying with a possible erosion unconformity the Middle Miocene-Messinian sequence, attests a regressive phase evolving from marine-littoral to continental dunar deposits, which are intercalated by locally fossiliferous palaeosoils. Fossil vertebrates have been retrieved from a small cliff cropping out next to the sea shore at Mandriola and from the main Capo Mannu cliff. The following mammals have been collected in this locality (Capo Mannu D1): Erinaceidae indet., Talpidae indet., Parasorex sp., Soricidae indet., Rhinolophus sp., Vespertilionidae indet., Tyrrhenoglis aff. T. figariensis, Rhagapodemus azzarolii, Apodemus mannu, Prolagus aff. P. figaro, Leporidae indet., Sus aff. S. sondaari, Nesogoral sp

In this work the Mycoplasma agalactiae p48 gene was used as a diagnostic marker for contagious agalactia (CA) of sheep and goats by Real-Time
PCR. The p48 gene encodes an invariable, constantly expressed, immunodominant surface lipoprotein belongs to the basic membrane protein
family. The Real-Time PCR test based on p48 resulted specific and sensible. The test performance were evaluated on bulk tank milk samples
collected from 1064 ovine and 66 goat farms in sardinian region. 4.8% of sheep farms and 4.5 % of goat farms tested positive. Our results showed
that the test based on the p48 gene can be used on bulk tank milk for detection and epidemiological surveillance of Mycoplasma agalactiae
infections

Choline chloride-based ternary deep band gap systems
The structural features derived by the UV-VIS spectroscopical analysis of five ternary eutectic systems containing choline chloride as Hydrogen Bond Acceptor (HBA), and ethylene glycol and a second Hydrogen Bond Donor (HBD, water, glycerol, methanol, ethanol, and 2-propanol), have been determined and described in terms of band gap and Urbach energies (BGE and UE). In particular, the relationship between the molar composition of the ternary eutectic systems and the BG and U energies was assessed through the Tauc plot methodology, which revealed a peculiar behaviour of the system containing 2-propanol. Thus, a Design of Experiments (DoE) approach, specifically a two-levels full factorial screening experiment, followed by a Surface Responding Analysis (SRA), allowed to determine the influence of the composition and other operational parameters (temperature and resting time) on the structural disorder of the final ternary eutectic system. An unprecedented effect of the DES-aging was observed on the UE, indicating that the structure of these systems evolves during time by increasing its order
