The volume contains the critical edition, the Italian translation, a broad introduction and commentary on three fundamental texts of the first century of Christianity: the so called First letter of Clement to the Corinthians, the Letters of Ignatius and the Didachè. Emanuela Prinzivalli was concerned with the First letter of Clement to the Corinthians, certainly the first document of Roman origin in the history of Christianity, two of Ignatius’ letters, very important for the mystical language (to the Romans), and his view of the role of bishops (to Polycarpus). The volume covers the introduction, the critical edition, the analysis and the Italian translation of the seven original letters of Ignazio of Antiochia and of other two (anonymous) fundamental works from the first and a half century of Christianity, i.e. the so called First letter of Clement to the Corinthians and the Didaché. Besides revealing the churches’ organization, these works show the different ways in which the figure of Jesus Christ was perceived in two different areas where Christianity was propagated: Rome and the region of Syria

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
