Protracted development of gaze behaviour
Data and code for 'Protracted development of gaze behaviour' by Linka, Karimpur & de Haas (2025).
Please copy and unzip the folder 'ProtrDev_161224' including all subfolders and files, into one directory. Then, run the script 'MasterScript_161224.m' to reproduce all analyses reported in the manuscript.
- The MAT file 'Events_n_13984' contains all extracted fixation and saccadic events (in image pixel space; 1000x750 pix). Cells represent data by subjects and nested cells give image-specific data, with each cell representing a gieven image (cell 1 = image 1, cell 2 = image 2 etc.).
- The MAT file 'LabeledFix_n_13984' contains all the pre-processed, labeled fixation data (in image pixel space; 1000x750 pix; LabeledFix.Data).Each cell provides the data of one individual. Please refer to 'LabeledFix_n_13984.Hdr' for information on matrix columns.
- The MAT file 'SurveyData_n_13984' includes all corresponsing survey and validation data for each dataset collected (SurveyData.Data). For the coding of the survey data matrix ('SurveyData.Data'), please refer to 'CodingBookSurveyData.txt'.
- The folder 'Stimuli' contains the 40 natural scenes used in the present study.
OSIE stimuli and annotations were kindly provided by Xu et al. (2014) and Broda & de Haas (2022) under the MIT license (https://github.com/NUS-VIP/predicting-human-gaze-beyond-pixels).
For further detail and pixel masks used for the present work, please check the manuscript and code.

Process control manufacture of grey shirting with regard to their quality
Informace získané z analýz napomohly k navržení opatření, které by mělo snížit podíl výskytu vad v 1a volbě, snížit zatížení tkadleny a zvýšit užitkový výkon tkaní.ANNOTATION This diploma paper deals with analysis of defect grey shirting, locating the reasons and determining a proposition for its? reduction. The company continually reaches high share of goods up to 10 defects/100m, but it has set a goal to rank among the best European manufacturers of shirting with their standard of 1. choice - 6 defects/100m. Currently the weaving factory reaches product share of 6 defects/100m (1.choice) in the amount of 85% from the whole production and 12% of products up to 10 defects/100m (1a choice) with average btto useful achievement of 80%. Using the tools of quality management, statistical methods, charts, Ishikawa and Pareto chart, the defects were analysed, which occurred in grey shirting most commonly, and their causes in 1a choice. The information gained from the analysis helped to propose measures, that would reduce the share of occurrence of the defects in 1a choice, lower the load for the weaver and improve useful weaving performance
Storytelling to Raise Learners' Awareness of Values in English Lessons in Pre-school
The Aim of the Diploma Paper was to study how storytelling can contribute to raising learners’ awareness of values in English classes pre-school. The theme of the Paper was chosen because the Author found that values education has an important role in children’s upbringing, it helps to form decent members of society. Recent years parents and educational institutions have started discussions about the importance of values education.
The Author conducted a case study and used storytelling in English lessons in pre-school to raise learner’s awareness of values over the period of three months.
It was found that storytelling is a successful method for teaching very young learners. The Author concluded that using storytelling along with activities benefited not only to raising the learners’ awareness of values, but it contributed to their comprehension of the importance of values
