studio (come misura compensativa), all’ICF.

RESEARCH COMPETENCES OF INCLUSIVE TEACHERS: A SURVEY
The curriculum for teacher training, which cannot be limited to soliciting the development of theoretical knowledge, must activate both a cyclical processes of action and a research-oriented thinking (Ciraci and Isidori, 2017). Much has been theorized on these issues but little has been done in the daily teaching practice in schools. The survey presented was conducted on two distinct samples of teachers. The first sample consists of 158 teachers in training for the specialization course for didactic support of pupil with disabilities in all school grades; the second sample is made up of 138 teachers already in service. A total of 296 subjects have been interviewed (272 are female). The aim was to investigate through an online questionnaire if teachers mastered the tools for collecting empirical data as well as if they incorporated the results of research carried out at school into their teaching and academic research. Most of the teachers from both groups claim to master and use the tools for the collection of empirical data, but declare that they have difficulties in structuring a research project in the classroom. It should also be noted that the areas in which they would like to develop a research activity is the “learning area” (study method, motivation, etc.) and the “relational and communication area”. A high percentage of respondents also shows that it is essential to strengthen research in the context of developing collaborative skills, useful both for building supportive and inclusive contexts, and for sharing empirical investigations with colleagues. We hope that our study will contribute to provide insights for professional training programs, and also to promote teaching practice based on empirical evidence
Intra- versus inter-sexual selection in the dimorphic electric organ discharges of the snoutfish Marcusenius altisambesi (Mormyriformes, Teleostei)
Marcusenius pongolensis (South Africa) and M. altisambesi (Upper Zambezi/Okavango) differ in the sex difference of their electric organ discharges (EODs). It is permanent and graded in the former and seasonally dimorphic in the latter. Four out of six experimental female M. altisambesi gave significantly stronger responses to the long playback EODs of breeding males rather than short EODs, whereas four of seven experimental males responded in the opposite way (with one exception in association time). When re-tested after a year, the female preference for long EODs had vanished. Both sexes discriminated between playback EODs as either long or short (unlike M. pongolensis), with the cutoff between 1420 and 2470 mu s (female EOD average, 350 mu s). Exposure to social stimuli from tank neighbours of both sexes did not induce growth of EOD duration in males (unlike M. pongolensis). We suggest that in M. altisambesi the sexually dimorphic male EOD has evolved under female (inter-sexual) selection (in M. pongolensis, both inter-and intra-sexual selection); that there is no evidence for male-male competition (intra-sexual selection, present in M. pongolensis); that ecological differences between a floodplain (M. altisambesi) and a more riverine (M. pongolensis) species may be at the origin of the differentiation

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Workup of Erectile Dysfunction: Results From a Delphi Consensus of Andrology Experts
Introduction: Erectile dysfunction is a highly prevalent condition. Existing guidelines provide recommendations for diagnosis and treatment, but they are often disregarded in clinical practice in favor of a “patient-tailored” approach. Objectives: We planned a Delphi consensus method to bridge the gap between evidence-based medicine and the real-life approach in daily practice. Materials and Methods: The Advisory Board prepared 15 statements on debated topics in andrology, each including 4–6 items designed as a 5-point Likert scale. After a validation phase, the questionnaire was sent by e-mail to a panel of experts for a first round of voting; members of the panel were later invited to a second round of voting, preceded by discussion of the “hot topics” identified in the first round. Results: The first round of the Delphi consensus involved 101 experts; 71 (70%) also took part in the second round of voting. The Advisory Board deemed 22 items to be worthy of debate, and these underwent the second round of voting. “Real-life” results from the survey proved quite different from evidence-based recommendations. Conclusion: Although guidelines suggest the best approach for a “standard” patient, real-life settings require flexibility. Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches should be tailored to the patients’ needs. Phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors are recognized as the first-line therapy in both settings, including the newly introduced sildenafil orodispersible film. Indications from the panel might help close the gap between recommendations from guidelines and real-life practice in relation to the diagnosis and treatment of erectile dysfunction.
