Mineralogical characterization of sericite-chlorite clays from Davoli (Calabria, south Italy): a proposal for ceramic products
No full textThe mineralogical, physical and chemical characteristics of a clay deposit near Davoli are discussed and related to minerogenesis. The material is composed of a chlorite-sericite clayey fraction plus quartz and sodium feldspar. X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, microprobe analysis and firing tests in gradient kilns were used to detect about the properties and a possible use of this clay as a ceramic raw material. High temperature products such as mullite and spinel were revealed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) technique. -Author

No full textDalle opere trissiniane pubblicate nel 1529 si ricava il profilo di un autore strettamente implicato nelle dinamiche tipografiche e coinvolto da vicino, direttamente o indirettamente, in tutte le fasi di stampa, a partire dalla produzione della carta, passando per la correzione delle bozze e fino all’aggiunta di marginalia a impressione conclusa. Nel saggio si passano in rassegna le tipologie di carta impiegate nelle stampe in questione e, sulla base delle filigrane individuate, si avanzano delle ipotesi per una più precisa datazione delle opere prive dell’indicazione del mese; si espongono inoltre, per le "Rime", i risultati di una collazione fra numerosi esemplari, da cui si desume lo stretto controllo esercitato dall’autore durante l’impressione.From the works which Trissino published in 1529 we can deduce that the author was closely connected with the world of printing and publishing, taking part, either directly or indirectly, in all the different phases of book production, beginning with the manufacture of paper right through to the correction of proofs and the addition of marginalia to the printed copies. The contribution surveys the types of paper used in these editions and on the basis of the watermarks suggests more precise datings for editions which do not indicate the month of printing. The article also presents the findings of a collation of multiple copies of the "Rime", which reveals how closely the author supervised the printing of the edition

Trissino, esaminando le modifiche apportate dall’autore nei pochi mesi che separano le stampe e riconoscendovi delle tendenze correttorie comuni. Inoltre, dimostra come molte delle varianti formali introdotte siano da correlare con le teorie linguistiche enunciate nell’Ɛpistola de le lettere pubblicata di lì a poco.The essay analyses the relationship between the first and the second edition of the Canzone and the Sophonisba by G. G. Trissino, studying the adjustments made by the author in few months and finding out similar corrections in each of the two works. Moreover, it demonstrates that many of these variants are to be connected with the publication of the Ɛpistola de le lettere and its linguistic proposals

own view of its execution environment. For example, each process
can have its own view for its file system, networking support, user-
id, system-name, etc. Umview and kmview are two proof of concept
implementations of the View-OS concept.
Technically, umview and kmview are user-level, system-call based,
partial, modular, virtual machine monitors. They virtualize a subset
of the kernel requests (system calls) depending upon which umview (or
kmview) modules have been loaded and upon which kind of virtualization
the user configured.
The effectiveness of this approach is best illustrated by providing
