No full textWe discuss the formulation in euclidean space of the effective theory for heavy quarks at non-zero velocity, which is necessary for the implementation of the Isgur-Wise limit in lattice QCD simulations. In this theory the energy spectrum is unbounded from below and, even at the tree level, an ultraviolet cut-off on spatial momenta must be introduced. The continuum limit of the effective quark propagator in configuration space does not exist. It is however possible, at least in the non-interacting case, to construct sensible correlation functions in time and in spatial momenta. The application of the theory to lattice simulations seems very problematic

No full textL'articolo prende in esame la fortuna della figura di Lady Jane Grey (che sedette per soli nove giorni sul trono d'Inghilterra nel 1553) nel teatro tedesco fra Sette e Ottocento, soffermandosi in particolare sui drammi che le dedicarono C.M. Wieland (1758) e Karoline Ludecus (1806). Della Ludecus si chiariscono anche l'identità e il rapporto di parentela che la legava al drammaturgo August von Kotzebue, corregendo le notizie erronee che si possono ricavare, a questo proposito, in molti studi critici e nei più importanti dizionari biografici

No full textThe essay focuses on the relationship between the two plays "Lovers' Vows" by Elizabeth Inchbald and "Das Kind der Liebe" by Friedrich von Kotzebue, highlighting Inchbald's ideological and tehmatic innovations, and the parallels between "Lovers' Vows" and her own fictional production. This analysis might help us to understand the position of the play within the context of Inchbald's work, while showing that it can be read as a 'transcodification' of some fundamental patterns present in her novels
