in tempi contenuti.

Digital Practices, Communicative Codes and Social Inequalities: a Case Study During the Pandemic in Italy
This paper analyses the complex relationship between digital practices, communicative codes and social inequalities in the period of the pandemic in Italy, through the analysis of data collected from a broader research project based on a web survey administered to 13,473 Italians. The study examined the use of social media by the respondents to acquire information on the Covid 19 emergency situation. After having carried out a theoretical overview, making reference to the perspective of Mannheim - above all in the direction developed by Bernstein - multiple regression models were constructed; these were aimed at identifying possible relationships between aspects related to the use of social media as an information source and the degree of trust in the information conveyed, and the socio-cultural and occupational conditions of the respondents. The main results showed that disadvantaged groups are more inclined than other groups to find and trust information on social media, as this channel responds to the horizontal mode of communication that is more consistent with the specific code they possess
The employability skills of young offenders. Evidence from a European project
This paper presents the main results of an empirical research, carried out under a K2 Erasmus Plus European project, lasting from September 2014 to December 2016, aimed at supporting the social inclusion of young inmates and preparing them to deal with the labor market. The research, through a mixed methods approach which consisted of a com-bined use of a structured questionnaire and a focus group, allowed to investigate the skills that young offenders could develop in order to fos-ter the social integration after their release
Fare ricerca sociale sullo sport.
Bio-products from algae-based biorefinery on wastewater: A review
Increasing resource demand, predicted fossil resources shortage in the near future, and environmental concerns due to the production of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide have motivated the search for alternative ‘circular’ pathways. Among many options, microalgae have been recently ‘revised’ as one of the most promising due to their high growth rate (with low land use and without competing with food crops), high tolerance to nutrients and salts stresses and their variability in biochemical composition, in so allowing the supply of a plethora of possible bio-based products such as animal feeds, chemicals and biofuels. The recent raising popularity of Circular Bio-Economy (CBE) further prompted investment in microalgae, especially in combination with wastewater treatment, under the twofold aim of allowing the production of a wide range of bio-based products while bioremediating wastewater. With the aim of discussing the potential bio-products that may be gained from microalgae grown on urban wastewater, this paper presents an overview on microalgae production with particular emphasis on the main microalgae species suitable for growth on wastewater and the obtainable bio-based products from them. By selecting and reviewing 76 articles published in Scopus between 1992 and 2020, a number of interesting aspects, including the selection of algal species suitable for growing on urban wastewater, wastewater pretreatment and algal-bacterial cooperation, were carefully reviewed and discussed in this work. In this review, particular emphasis is placed on understanding of the main mechanisms driving formation of microalgal products (such as biofuels, biogas, etc.) and how they are affected by different environmental factors in selected species. Lastly, the quantitative information gathered from the articles were used to estimate the potential benefits gained from microalgae grown on urban wastewater in Campania Region, a region sometimes criticized for poor wastewater management
Analgesic and sedative effects of epidural lidocaine-xylazine in elective bilateral laparoscopic ovariectomy in standing mule mares
The purpose of this study was to determine the analgesic efficacy and safety of epidu-ral lidocaine-xylazine administration in standing mules undergoing elective bilateral laparoscopic ovariectomy in order to suppress unwanted behaviour. Eight mule mares were sedated with intramuscular 0.05 mg/kg acepromazine followed by 1.3 mg/kg of xylazine and 0.02 mg/kg of butorphanol intravenously. Sedation was maintained by a constant rate infusion of 0.6 mg/kg/h of xylazine. The paralumbar fossae were infiltrated with 30 mL of 2% lidocaine. Epidural anaesthesia was performed at the first intercoccygeal space with 0.2 mg/kg of lidocaine and 0.17 mg/kg of xylazine. After 15 min, bilateral laparoscopic ovariectomy was performed. Heart rate, respiratory rate, rectal temperature, invasive arterial blood pressure, degree of analgesia, sedation and ataxia were evaluated during surgery. The laparoscopic ovariectomy was successfully completed in all animals. Sedation and analgesia were considered satisfactory in six out of the eight mules. In conclusion, caudal epidural block allowed surgery to be easily completed in six out of eight. The animals did not show any signs of discomfort associated with nociception and were mostly calm during the procedures, however additional studies are needed to establish epidural doses of xylazine and lidocaine that result in reliable abdominal pain control in mules for standing ovariectomy
THE DETERMINANTS OF RECIDIVISM: AN EMPIRICAL RESEARCH ON YOUNG INMATES
ILA Employability project (Innovative Learning Approaches in Staff Training and Young Offenders' Employability Support) was an Erasmus Plus programme (Key Action: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices; Action: Strategic Partnerships K2; Project number: 2014-1-RO01-KA200-002856) financed by the European Commission and carried out from to september 2014 to december 2016. It was led by the Educative Centre Buzias (CEB) in Romania, as coordinator of the project, and four partners, coming from different European countries: DAE Association (Spain), Fife Council (Scotland), Eurosuccess Consulting (Cyprus), University of Salerno (Italy).
This project focused on some main priorities of the Europe 2020 Strategy, such as:
