Simultaneous determination of polyphenolic compounds in red and white grapes grown in Sardinia by high performance liquid chromatography-electron spray ionisation-mass spectrometry
A new method for the identification and the quantification of nonanthocyanin phenolic compounds from six Vitis Vinifera grape varieties native to Sardinia (three native: Vermentino, Malvasia and Cannonau and three non-native types: Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon; Argiolas vineyard) was developed. This rapid and selective method employs LC/ESI-MS in negative mode. Different solvents extraction and different sorbents for purification were compared to the direct analysis of the initial extracts without further sample preparation. A total of 54 phenolic compounds were identified either in the freeze-dried skins or seeds, including nonflavonoids (hydroxybenzoic and hydroxycinnamic acids and their derivatives, stilbenes) and flavonoids (flavanols, flavonols, dihydroxyflavonols). Algorithmic modelling processes in scan-to-BIM workflows
The benefits brought by the application of the BIM philosophy to built heritage are now widely recognised, so much so
that a closely related methodology, Heritage BIM borned. The HBIM finds practical confirmation in the so-called
Scan-to-BIM processes; the data of architectural organisms, in the form of point clouds, are the basis on which the
modelling of information is developed, to arrive at geometric models within which all the information necessary for the
reading and interpretation of the architectural artefact as well as for its preservation and management is collected. In the
paper some of the problems that arise from the application of the Scan-to-BIM processes to complex historical elements
are analysed, particularly related to the phases of creation of three-dimensional models. In addition, a reasoning is made
about how such problems can be solved or at least mitigated, thanks to the use of algorithmic modelling; the aim is to
parameterise the generative process of the models, when the model itself cannot be parametric. In order to do this, a
classic typology of historical architecture was examined: late-gothic vaulted systems
FROM TLS POINT CLOUD DATA TO GEOMETRICAL GENESIS DETERMINATION OF RIBBED MASONRY VAULTS
The contribution aims to explore the possibility of tracing the geometry of ribbed vaults from two different Mediterranean regions to a single matrix, verifying the presence of possible local variations of the same rules. In particular, the analyses are being carried out in parallel on some case studies of the regions of Sardinia in Italy and Aragon in Spain. The two case studies include the Iglesia Parroquial del Salvador la Seo in Zaragoza and the Church of Santa Lucia in Cagliari. Both constructions can be traced back to the style known as Late Mediterranean Gothic, which characterised the architecture of the countries bordering the Mediterranean basin between the 14th and 17th centuries. The two case studies chosen were almost at the extreme ends of the Late Gothic period, to determine whether some invariants sought could persist even in relatively distant periods. The analysis focused on cross vaults covering the two naves, which included a laser scanner survey in order to obtain a cloud of points of sufficient precision to carry out studies on the geometry of the vaulted systems, the identification of the intrados profiles of the ribs and therefore the definition of the curvatures and centres of all the arches making up the vaults. Finally, the results are presented by means of summary diagrams and comparison tables

Animazione di un’armatura. Il cavaliere inesistente di Italo Calvino e Pino Zac
Pino Zac, eclectic director and designer, is the author of the eponymous film adaptation of the novel parodic medieval The Nonexistent Knight by Italo Calvino, made by the director with mixed media - actors and cartoons. The intrinsic value of these texts allows a comparative analysis involving at the same time the specific grammar of the medium used and fundamental questions of interpretation, avoiding the risk of reducing the comparison to the measurement of mechanical differences and invariant in the transition from one code to another. Intersemiotic translation system between literary and filmic system places the author in front of choices of a formal nature, ethics and aesthetics ranging from compliance with the genetic code of the source text and the cohesion of its rewriting process, this allows two way in cases best, like this, to penetrate more deeply into the sides in the shade of the original text, through a new version of the same with certain critical value.
