    RIASSUNTO WO2011135121 L'invenzione riguarda un metodo per modificare il modello di sviluppo, aumentando la crescita e l'accumulo di amido, modificare la struttura di amido e aumentare la resistenza allo stress idrico nelle piante. Il metodo prevede piante in un'atmosfera contenente elementi volatili emessi da un microrganismo coltivando, senza che vi sia alcun contatto fisico tra il microrganismo e la pianta. Il metodo si basa sulla scoperta che gli elementi volatili emessi da batteri Gram Gram-positivi o Gram-negativi, lieviti e funghi microscopici stimolano un aumento della crescita delle piante in generale, con un aumento della lunghezza, il numero di foglie e / o il numero di rami della pianta, un aumento della amido accumulato ei cambiamenti strutturali a detto biopolimero, e modifica del disegno di sviluppo, con un aumento di boccioli floreali. Una maggiore resistenza allo stress idrico può anche essere osservato, in aggiunta a un aumento di amido in fogli separati da piante intere.The invention relates to a method for changing the development pattern, increasing the growth and accumulation of starch, changing the structure of starch and increasing the resistance to hydric stress in plants. The method is based on the discovery that the volatile elements emitted by Gram-positive or Gram-negative Gram bacteria, yeast and microscopic fungi stimulate an increase in the growth of plants in general, with an increase in the length, the number of leaves and/or the number of branches of the plant, an increase in the accumulated starch and structural change to said biopolymer, and modification of the development pattern, with an increase in floral buds.     Nuclear reactions play a key role in the framework of the Big Bang Nucleosynthesis. A network of 12 principal reactions has been identified as the main path that drove the elemental nucleosynthesis in the first 20 min of the history of the Universe. Among them an important role is played by neutron-induced reactions, which, from an experimental point of view, are usually a difficult task to be measured directly. Nevertheless big efforts in the last decades have led to a better understanding of their role in the primordial nucleosynthesis network. In this work we apply the Trojan Horse Method to extract the cross section at astrophysical energies for the 3He^3\text {He}(n,p)3H^3\text {H} reaction after a detailed study of the 2H^2\hbox {H}(3He^3\text {He},pt)H three-body process.     The vacuum control system of most of the CERN accelerators is based on Siemens PLCs and on PVSS SCADA. After the transition from the LHC commissioning phase to its regular operation, there has been a number of additions and improvements to the vacuum control system. They were driven by new technical requirements and by feedback from the accelerator operators and vacuum specialists. New control functions have been implemented in the PLCs; new tools have been developed for the SCADA, while its ergonomics and navigation have been enhanced

    During the first 3 years of LHC operation, the priority for the SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) of vacuum controls was to attend to user requests, and to improve its ergonomics and efficiency: access & presentation of information simplified and normalized; coherent functionalities & menus across all accelerators; automatic scripts instead of fastidious manual actions; enhanced tools for data analysis and for maintenance interventions. Several decades of cumulative developments, based on heterogeneous technologies and architectures, have been asking for a homogenization effort. The first LHC Long Shutdown (LS1) provides the opportunity to further standardize the vacuum controls systems [1], around Siemens-S7 PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and PVSS SCADA. Meanwhile, exchanges with other Groups at CERN and outside Institutes have been promoted: to follow the global update policy for software libraries; to discuss philosophies and development details; and to accomplish common products. Furthermore, while preserving the current functionalities, a convergence towards the CERN UNICOS framework is under preparation

    In the network of reactions present in the Big Bang nucleosynthesis, the He-3(n, p)H-3 reaction has an important role which impacts the final Li-7 abundance. The Trojan Horse Method (THM) has been applied to the He-3(d, pt)H reaction in order to extract the astrophysical S(E)-factor of the He-3(n, p)H-3 reaction in the Gamow energy range. The experiment will be described in the present work together with the first preliminary results
